    Tuning means smoothening the cocking and firing clycle as well as reducing the recoil thus making the rifle more controllable and sweeter to shoot. This results in better accuracy. Tuning isn't necessarily increasing the power. Increasing the power on a spring piston air rifle will always lead to more kick, more vibration and spring twang making it very difficult to shoot accurately. You can slightly increase power with the right lubrication but you would need a stronger spring too.

    The 80s are unstressed at 12ft/lbs and shoot very nice when tuned so yours must be smooth mate! these are by far my most favourite break barrel rifles, a true work horse is the hw80

    The overall gun (HW80) is just bigger. The HW95 is a scaled down version with smaller cylinder diamter, smaller piston, different trigger block and different smaller stock. The HW80 is a high powered air rifle designed for the American high power market whereas the HW95 is a medium powered highly accurate easier to shoot rifle.

    Hi, great video. I purchased my HW80 at legal 12ft lb from a local air rifle dealer UK. The green eyed dealer is quick to sell, but not to tell any usefull knowledge so i know very little about air rifles. Would it be easy to replace the spring without the compressor at 12ft lb? should i have done any maintenance when it came out the box? And also i selected the .22 version as i was told the 80 is more suited to .22 is this true?? It was a toss up between the Air arms pro sport but no regrets!

    What's the mechanical differnce between the hw95 and the hw80? bigger cylinder? or is it just the stock which is bigger?

    Hey man nice video. I have a question. I cannot for the life of me unscrew the trigger housing. Seems pretty set. It’s a new rifle but I can’t break it loose. I don’t want to damage the edges trying to open it. Any recommendations?

      Yep, that's because they put it in the blueing solution assembled so the threads are baked together. You need a hot air gun and heat the end block up till you see a lot of smoke (burning muck and grease). Find a spot on the cylinder (with or without barrel attached) that you can safely clamp in a vise without destroying anything. Take a spanner or something similar that fills the gap for the trigger unit completely and give it a good smack with a heavy hammer. That should do it. I've done it several times on HW97s. After you have done that, clean the threads because they are almost always rusted because of the blueing solution that they couldn't clean off.

    Very helpful and well made vid., unboxing of hw80 would have been nice as well. Can u advice on what should be done immediately after buying a new hw80, can one start shooting pellets immediately or it is advisable to clean and oil barrel first?

    Hi bro i have a noob question would like to ask. Can we cock a break barrel without the wooden stock attached? Can it still shoot? Thanks.

      Yes but it's more difficult because you have less leverage on the other end. 😁😁🤘🤘

    Bei mir sind 2 Stahlscheiben vor der Feder im Kolben. Bei deiner kamen keine mit raus. Sind die scheiben nicht bei jeder HW80 vorhanden. Gruß Torsten

    • @2lbsTrigrPull
      @2lbsTrigrPull  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kommt drauf an. Wann hast du deine HW80 gekauft? Bei den neueren HW95ern haben sie z.B. eine ziemlich dicke Unterlegscheibe und einen O-Ring vor die Feder verbaut. Warum auch immer. Vielleicht um Federgeräusche zu minimieren. Bei meinen älteren waren diese Teile nicht drin. So wird das auch mit der HW80 sein.

      @@2lbsTrigrPull Erstmal danke für die schnelle Antwort. Ja, sie ist erst ca. 2 Jahre alt. Wahrscheinlich hast du recht. Komisch ist nur, dass die Scheiben unterschiedlich dick sind. Ich dachte schon schon, damit kalibrieren sie auf exakt 7.5 Joule aber eigentlich recht aufwendig. Deine These wird wohl stimmen.

      Jup, schießt aber trotzdem gut und allemal besser als die Plastikscheiße von Umarex und Diana.
