    Proven Safe and Effective
Oratex is proven safe. It is certified in Europe and Canada, and many FAA STCs are now available in the USA. There are currently over 300 airplanes flying with Oratex (including a 5th place Reno-Racer and a Red Bull Master Class competitor). Three European manufacturers have chosen to use Oratex exclusively, including on an aerobatic version of the Sherwood Ranger. Having been tested extensively in Alaska, Oratex is now available throughout North America.
Oratex represents a major breakthrough in aircraft fabric covering systems. No solvents, no paint, no stench, no exposure to toxic chemicals of any kind. Just glue it, shrink it, and fly!
    Easy and Fun to Apply
Covering an airplane used to be a long and involved process. Oratex is different. The builder doesn't need to apply any coatings at all. Just glue it, shrink it, and you're done!
    Covering with Oratex is fun!
Covering with the legacy systems is nasty! Prolonged exposure to dangerous chemicals and hours of tedious sanding, and having to work with a respirator and protective clothing.
With Oratex you move quickly from one finished component to the next, and in about 100 hours you are done!

Oratex may be great stuff, but it would be nice if they fact check... I am the proud owner of one of the planes shown in this video. At 7:00 my Rans S-6S with callsign PH-ANR is shown. It is covered with Superflight, and if you look closely just below the windshield you can read "Paintwork: Rijk van de Vis".

Nice to see model aircraft technology being applied to full-size planes.

REALLY??? What do you think the first airplanes were made of. Its the other way around.

@@nuke1959 It's coming back. RC, drone and experimental aircrafts have very resourceful communities and a lot can be learned from them.

Oratex the BetterAircraftFabric will be at Sun&Fun in Florida this year again!!! Paul will be at the SportAir USA Booth.
It looks like at our Booth #300 in Oshkosh at EAA Airventure we will be covering a Biplane during the week of the show.
In Oshkosh we will be present with at least 6 people, so that everybody can get his questions answered with no big delays.

    For anybody going to Oshkosh for EAA Airventure (2019) with any interest in Oratex;
    - As always, like every year, we will be at booth #300 near the Control Tower. Right beside Hangar A. Right on the main road that passes in front of the tower. We will be covering an airplane there again and so we can teach what to do and what not to do at all; non-stop during the whole week. We will also display several Oratex airplanes at the booth, aside of those that show up in Oshkosh anyway...(like the ones competing at the STOL competition !)

Like covering an RC plane. I used it back in the day instead of monocote.

Nice informative video, great product as it seems. On a different note, be careful Dan, you are gaining weight 😃

Regarding EAA Oshkosh 2017 Airventure, we have a New location and will no longer be at the two old booth locations of previous years (2012-2016).
We will be at booth number 300, a new outdoor display including an finished Oratex6000-covered Cub and a Belite that we are covering during the show. The New Outdoor Location of our booth its on the runway side of Hangar A, very close to where our old booth was within Hangar A !
Also be aware that we now have a public Facebook group called BetterAircraftFabric as well. We are posting much more photos of customer aircraft there then we could ever show on the website. Its also quite interactive as customers are posting there as well.
We also have a New Catalog.
    Best Regards, (Oratex6000) by BetterAircraftFabric

You can't install this on a Piper Tri-pacer, can you?

We now also have a BetterAircraftFabric Facebook Group where I showcase airplanes that did not fit on the website...in the sense of easy to Facebook and hard to get stuff on the website. Some customers post there as well.

Great product, way to f.....ing expensive. It’s about three times as expensive as it’s competitors. I am not wading in money.
