Quicksilver Storm and Conditional Finality should be S Tier. Although Quicksilver relies on artifact mods for champions, it is by far the best exotic primary with how much damage it can pump out, and Conditional Finality has great damage for champions (also can stun unstoppables) and ad clear with the shatter/ignite damage. A bonus point is that both guns feel really good to use.
@fangslore9988 Tangles on quicksilver are nice on Titans if you don't want to risk using the melee to make them, especially in gms. Too bad most of the time, my teammates pick them up or destroy them, so I can't give everyone woven mail
Conditional Finality in the champion space is the powercrept version of Bastion. Go on solar with ember of eruption: Kill a thing on a solar shot and EVERYTHING dies/gets stunned. Easily one of the 3 best special weapons in the game, right there with Witherhord and Osteo Striga
At 1:11:39 talking Osteo striga (my personal favorite gun at level 1005) it already DOES have a Catalyst. If get a kill with the poison it overflows the magazine (+29 rounds) with every kill stacking up to around 115 rounds in the magazine. So sadly it'll probably never get a normal catalyst box
As someone after your own heart, this weapon is also my favourite. I always push Gally duty onto my fireteam buddy to keep this on me. :) But one thing to note is that it's only the poison tick kills that give you that extra overflow ammo with the catalyst. Direct kills don't count. (You obviously knew this; it's for anyone reading this thread). In practical applications, this means that you need to learn when to kill just one enemy in a cluster, to ensure that the rest die to tick damage. You can then use the overflowed magazine to do real damage to majors and ultras. Best weapon evar!!! P.S. Then there's the Necrotic Grips Warlock exotic interaction..... lucky eggheads!
Stacking debuff on the linear shots, nothing huge since it is a primary but 5% per bolt could give this thing a niche. Making it anti champ or adding an elemental effect is fine too but that’s the route bungie has taken for the last few years in “buffing” many of the exotics instead of giving them a meaningful change

Trinity Ghoul synergizes DISGUSTINGLY well with warlock arc soul. You can focus big targets and shock little targets at the same time. On top of that, arc soul re-procs lightning rod. The bow generates a TON of traces. The bow gets Arc multikills which gen a TON of orbs (with mods) and even more orbs because of the kills while amplified. Combine this with fallen sunstar, pulse grenade, and a grenade build and it becomes crazy.
Have you tried it with verity's brow or getaway artists as an alternative to sunstar? (I bring up getaways bc idk if you know there's a hidden perk that the sentient arc soul it gives generates nade energy on hits, and you can extend it forever with your rifts so you can just spam nades)
I know its niche, but Malfeasance with Lucky Pants is solo friendly and erases stuff. Then reload, put it away, and next time you see something that needs gone switch back. With Vorpal its eating good today
Dead Messenger definitely deserves to be in the C or B tier. Also, a lot of the kinetic exotic primaries are listed lower because “you’re gonna be using the special slot for an SMG”. There are tons of great legendary special weps in the energy slot. Wave frames are far and away the best, one-two punch shotties or blinding GLs are great, trace rifles are wonderful, and there are plenty of good fusion rifles for majors or backup boss dps these days.
If you put just the slightest thought on using Collective Obligation, it's easily a higher tier, Night stalker w Gyrfalcons / Void Demo Titan w Second Chance both can give volatile and weaken(plus the 15% damage buff from void leach), the gun also has infinite ammo if you equip devour or use stylish executioner.
collective obligation is easily A-tier especially if you're doing a "spread the pain" build where you're damage rotation includes syphoning the void status effects from a target to a boss or any other enemy especially since suppression will disrupt overload champions
@fangslore9988 My favorite class to use the gun on is Hunter. You can easily get weaken and volatile with smoke bombs and Gyrfalcons. There is also a fragment that makes void breachs on volatile kills, which can proc devour and give class energy. This setup is really fun but personally falls off in gms, despite all the debuffs and void Leach damage increase, the gun feels weaker in terms of damage compared to quicksilver, so A tier feels like a perfect match for this gun. ( I personally like exotic pulses need a damage buff towards orange bars so they don't feel like crap in gms, quicksilver storm is an example of what exotics primarys should feel like damage wise)
The titan exotic glaive is a life saver solo and in a fireteam. The amount of times I saved myself from death is massive, and also I wouldn’t have gotten all 3 catalyst’s for the new exotic glaive without it...
@BREAKocean the tritons for hunter from what ive heard makes both the hunter glaive and the glaive from last season makes those two specifically pretty decent add clear
@@nitro5202sadly the main thing tritons does is just give every glaive close to melee and chain reaction on energy shots. I think the only viable glaive build is on warlock using the fragments “echo of exchange, reprisal, and leeching”. Exchange gives grenade energy on melee final blows, reprisal gives super energy from kills while surrounded, and leeching is the most important giving free health regen to you AND your team from melee kills. Throw on Karnstein Armlets for even more regen. I used this through most of witch queen and lightfalls legend campaign throwing supers every minute
Final warning is interesting this season because of the artifact perk that increases void and arc damage from abilities if a target has a strand debuff. It gives a solo player a way to apply strand debuff while on arc/void if you don't already have the navigator.
I also really like Trinity Ghoul... but at least in the past, I found it dropped off hard when red bars get tough enough such that you might not get a kill with a shot--especially when you were shooting at a major surrounded by red bars and looking to crowd control that way. Ticuu's, on the other hand, manages it's perk without a required kill, which I always felt like it did superior damage when you were dealing with a major and still continuously damaging nearby red bars. But it's been a while since I've used it heavily, so perhaps I should go to Neomuna and try it again, as that is the epitome of tough red bars :)
Quicksilver Storm is (at the moment) the most busted exotic in the game, granades hit close to rockets, they grant an easy woven mail/tangle explosion, and it can unravel. Absolutely nuts.
Final warning was amazing last season with anti barrier sidearm. It does a really good job blasting majors once they are suspended and the unravel helps with adclear a ton
Graviton Lance slaps pretty hard in high ad areas, I was farming kills through Shuro chi for guardian games, and decided to double up by unlocking catalysts and this one literally would decimate all the ads when I killed only one of them lol
I tried all of your F and D tier weapons in the nightfall solo and I agree with everything except Ruinous effigy. On my invize hunter it was a high A tier
You definitely should give rat king a chance for solo play. While the exotic perk is built around multiple people having the gun equipped, invis and healing on kill + reload on any class/subclass can be great in solo flawless dungeons and other scenarios
Black Talon just needs to have suppression added to the heavy projectile on direct hits but currently it is the best void sword that's not Falling Guillotine. Damage Combo is 2 heavy projectiles + 2 light attacks. Also good in Gambit.
I swear by effigy, damage resist and the orbs do really strong damage, it's a life saver end game. You can also use the damage resist with Omni and stay invisible rendering you untouchable and it blinds everyone whilst using the orb, and you can get approximately 10 seconds before it explodes. For solo players this gun gives so much utility.
What did they even nerf? It's still doing as much damage as any other trace, the dunk deletes majors, the block let's you walk through a cabal rocket volley.... Was it better somehow? Literally my only complaint with effigy is that it gets boring. Kill a red bar, pick up orb, walk to major or pack, dunk, repeat.
@@evanwilson9493 they reduced the damage of aerial melee attacks with the Sphere, as well as HEAVILY decreasing the damage of the drain mode for the sphere. The second part is the part that really hurt it, bc the drain mode on the sphere pre-BL was fantastic
Collective obligation imo is easily an a tier minimum, as you said it’s a bit technical but with the right build it’s by far one of the strongest weapons you can use, with a Titan using controlled demolition with bastion for over shield and the right aspects etc you can have effectively all 3 effects procced from 1 grenade, plus they removed the cool-down
And with gyrfalcons it feeds into itself very easily and hunters has access to free weakens. The only thing you don’t have is volatile but you can just from the fragment

I assume you mean suppression? If so then you need suppressor grenade as far as I'm aware. Usually weaken and volatile are plenty, as weaken already suppresses them to some extent which has about the same effect as slowing them (so they can't aim for nothing and move slower). Some enemies just give up when weakened too.
I've been using Graviton Lance in Solo PVE since I got it, and its catalyst made it great, its recent buff made it even better, currently my highest kill cout weapon at around 57K kills it's a go to when there's a lot of annoying ads that get in the way, now it does more boss damage so it's always in my inventory, rarely in the vault
I usually skip ads, but for E I'll watch it 10x over...love the videos as always! One note for these longer, list-style videos: I love to "watch" these similar to podcasts- I'll pop in headphone and do chores around the house or what not, so it'd be great to have a little more verbalizing of what's on screen (I.e. there's a few weapons where you didn't say which weapon was on screen, like Vexcaliber or Wardcliff Coil) so you'd have to be watching to know what you were talking about. Outside of that, love this solo-focused content!
final warning deals insane amounts of damage and can intrinsically deal with barriers. it takes a little to adjust to, but it's at least B-A tier. putting it so low is crazy.
Sweet Business with a strand titan suspend build is fun, almost limitless uptime on your suspend, lots of woven mail from orbs and tangles, I use it frequently for legend lost sectors and have cleared GMs with it. It's definitely niche and requires a build around it, but it's got good stun, it's anti barrier this season, and with suspend it can burn single targets down fast. Pair it with a strand LMG and Actium War Rig and you're cooking in endgame content.
I agree with the Sweet Business placement with the exception of being combined with Actium. With the right mods and skills, that combo is super safe and melts most everything at a respectable pace. Sweet Business should be placed higher when paired with Actium War Rig.
Although not the most powerful, I would set Hard Light a little higher, as, with the current artifact mods: Auto-Rifle=Anti-Barrier, and in Legend/Master lost sectors, where elemental shields are way stronger than normal, that's a lot of functionality in a single slot.
You did not just put tommys that low. This seasoj its literly the ehst solo weapon you can easily outheal ot abd all thw sunspots it makes and scorch and damage and ignitions makes it amazing. What i used for solo flawless. Tommys mathcbook is legitimatly a beast. On titan its legit S tier. Also final warning is amazing great ad clear and amazing dps for a primary
I main Malfeasance in every activity for the fact that it's just way too comfortable. The weapon feels good to shoot and stacking five shots on targets couses them to explode, the taken damage bonus is just a little buff to me that doesn't matter as much, i just love how the gun feels. Plus it has interesting lore and the detail that your guardian's hands shake when you hold it as if it scared you, it just makes it feel more powerful
For ad clear, cryosthesia is pretty good. The shatter damage paired with stasis seekers can clear a large group of low level enemies easily. Especially for public events like terminal overload, this thing is VERY good.
100% agree with s tier . only one i would argue with is the malfeasence hand cannon , i think its A tier coupled with lucky pants. firing a full 20 round magazine into a target definately melts. thank you great video
I'll give you the lucky pants on a couple of those hand cannons, and with that exotic and the upcoming hand cannon buff a few may be REALLY strong. any agreement though i'll take since.
Telesto, fourth, and ruinous were did so dirty here. Telesto was the OG forbearance before wave frames even existed, and still is crazy good ad clear and does good dmg. Fourth isn't crazy good but I use it alot for solo dungeons. Ruinous has to be the most fun trace, in patrol this thing can 1 shot anything with the ball slam, and is also very good in solo dungeons with a void build.
I've gotten the most feedback about low ranking Ruinous and some of that may be justified. I really was trying to think about a Solo player going into solo specific activities and how the weapons can be beneficial in situations like that. But there are many different play styles so I never claimed to have this perfect.
The thud is an absolute blast. Reminds me of the good ol' days of Titanfall 2, driving the monarch, yelling profanities, and letting rip a stream of arc rounds.
i really feel you were too harsh on sweet business, ive used it with actium war rig to judy bully through most of the Lightfal legendary campaign solo, its a hit niche yeah but basically never having to reload or stop shooting is really handy for crowd control when solo.
I think when you reviwed touch of malice and Tommy's matchbook you neglected to consider lorely splendor. This easily counteracts the self damage, which allows you to dish out massive damage with your primary.
The fact that you NEED to proc Restoration to use a primary should say EVERYTHING on why you, under ANY circumstance, should not use Tommy's Matchbook. Take of Loreley's, Embrace Synthos, Use sunshot or any other good solar weapon with Ember of Emperion, and now you're just murdering all the things with no drawbacks. If Tommy's gave restoration after a few kills it MIGHT be OK, but otherwise, every other exotic primary is better
Eriana’s Vow is honestly very good. Yes it kicks but it’s vertical, like stupid vertical, just wait for sight to return to center and clap the enemy again. I promise it’s good fun
You take that back, sweet business is an amazing gun. Hard Light is the perfect gun for the weekly Cosmodrome mission that needs 20 void, arc, Solar to complete.
Hard light can serve for bounties, i'll give you that, i just see MUCH more potential if they 3.0 all the elements. Always just an opinion but i've just not had Sweet Business treat me well, if it works for you though enjoy it.
@@Ebontis let me put it this way, sweet business by itself is not a a great gun, but if you have others also using it you melt through bosses. When bungie updated the exotic effect they more or less made it just like Rat King. Example Rat king alone is just a fancy side arm, but put with others guardians also using Rat King it becomes much more. Same goes for sweet business. By its self it’s just a gun that fires a lot but paired with other guardians it’s a god damn wrecking ball. Now for single play, the only time I use Sweet business is with the actium warrig chest piece, because the reload is just too long, and the fact that you can put a constant stream of damage on an enemy is a plus. Does it need a damage boost yes, is it endgame worthy honestly depends on the person.

My personal go to exotics is revision, quicksilver and crimson, mostly using revision as i just fully maxed it out and the 2 burst mode makes it feel like a scout rifle
Touch got a buff to healing return for rapid kills, nerf to self damage, arc synergy with its alt fire blind, necrotic grip synergy, and can no longer kill you with self damage as of this season. on a Devour Warlock, its actually really good with certain builds
im a returning player. but i used to love using ace of spades with the warlock chest that causes an explosion of your subclass element, it paired really well with the ace explosion
For Trinity Ghoul, they SAY "Any Arc Final-Blow" triggers Lightning Rod, but I've noticed that Arc Super Kills actually don't seem to trigger it, ironically.
I think conditional finality should be a easy s tier, I’ve used it in solo flawless dungeons, master raid challenges, GMs etc etc, both shots in the mag stun unstops, it deals heaps of damage and if your good enough you can use the freeze to to essentially stun barrier and sometimes overload champs, it’s hand down the best raid exotic to date and one of the best exotics in the game for any activity
I was so torn on this one and we talked about it in chat. If you can acquire it, it really is fantastic.. but I also know as a solo PvE player it maybe be out of reach... but that doesn't mean isn't a great weapon once you have it. I was very close to pushing it up but the chat debate was tough.
Hierarchy of needs is so good solo, pick a good spot and you unleash hellfire upon your enemies, the catalyst is mandatory as it doubles the rate of fire when shooting through the ring. I had countless people see me absolutely slay out with it (even in GMs) and be like this looks like so much fun I need it now
Heir Apparent works amazingly with Actium War Rig paired with void titan using bastion. Demolishes everything up to Bosses but Mini-bosses eat up too much ammo.
Little point about the last word tho: If you play it with kinetic surge and lucky pants you can actually use it as a pretty good yellow bar clear or even boss damage. Like its definitely sub par. But there is a part to it that actually works in pve. I finished the whole legendary witch queen campaign with it. And it was fun. Cuz running around quickdrawing everything just felt awesome. I would've moved it up to D Tier. Cuz there's a lot of stuff that is better. But especially if you play hunter, there is a place for it.
I'll say this about Rat King being in D tier. Rat King was indispensable in getting my first grasp of avarice solo flawless on my warlock. The invisibility nearly on command was an incredible tool. On bossless and ad-heavy encounters, it is great for keeping any class safe from danger.
Skyburner's can be situational. BUT for a hunter with weighted knives, ember that makes you radiant on charged melee hits, Knock 'em down, and ophidia spathe, Skyburner's becomes a whole lot of fun with a whole lot of BOOM. I also noticed that Forerunner isn't here... (Maybe just me but idk)
I think that suros regime should be higher but that’s basically just because it carried me through the early game with the spin up perk and the health steal effect. I got a soft spot for it.
Osteo Striga has a catalyst. It's just listed in the normal perks rather than next to the infuse box. It overloads the weapon on DOT kills up to 4x the capacity (108 rounds).

I usually spend more time watching TH-cam vids and reading guides on Destiny than I do playing it (not an exaggeration). I'm sure you'll agree that the space is saturated with content creators. Each with their own spin, their own focus. And of course, their own personalities. But you checked three really big boxes for me, simultaneously. One, you have a ton of solo focused content. Two, you have a ton of basic guide content for seasonal activities, among others. And third, which really sets you apart from almost every other youtuber that bothers with the same content you do, is that you walk your viewers through EVERY FRICKIN MOMENT of the activity the guide focuses on, with relevant commentary throughout. I've lost count of the "guide" videos that left me guessing where I needed to go for collectibles or lost sector entrance locations, or specific strategies for encounters. With you, I can't be better prepared. And you do that despite TH-cam penalizing longer vids (maybe things have changed lately, but yeah). You still kept all that footage in, FOR YOUR AUDIENCE! And your success didn't change that. I recently duo'd normal Avalon after watching your guide. Without it, it would have taken my wife and I almost twice as long. The Black Talon is nice for Dares when you have the powered buff. I use a lot of swords, and I build mostly around sword usage. The Catalyst sucks tho. I wish it is reworked.
Collective is Best with a bastion/controlled demolition titán with supress nade, all the buffs in one nade throw, then plant your barricade and You have a bottomless mag of buffet void godness
Borealis is just misunderstood. The bonus damage you get from breaking a matched shields pretty crazy. Terrabah is cracked beyond reason if you build for it. 4th is one of the highest damage shotguns we've ever had. I use it regularly for champion nuking.
Sweet Business is definitely effective in PVE when paired with a TItan and the Actium War Rig chest armor. 150 shot magazine, primary ammo, and auto-continuous reload? You can fire almost forever!
I know its against the grain a bit, but IMO Ace of Spades is actually pretty good in PvE since the 40% exotic buff. Fast reload, Momento Mori boosted Firefly, free kill clip damage, it honestly has everything you want. I'm not claiming S tier, but I do feel it warrants C or B. Edit: Getting further through the video, I feel you are severely undervaluing that 40% bonus damage on exotic primaries. In the meta at high level you are basically always using Forbearance and a machine gun or legendary rocket, so you are free to use exotic primaries. Legendary primaries as a whole feel weak right now.
Mida was at one point a great weapon to have back in the early days and it’s never changed from then. Today it’s not ideal for any pve content but every now and then you can find a mobility hunter with mida who can carry revives simply for being too fast especially when you can have another kinetic in the energy slot that carries and you can swap to mida for the boost alone. Me personally can revive players while strafing just using this weapon. It has a purpose that shouldn’t be tiered this low but it’s misunderstood these days as compared to early years after Al the fluff to the game. If you find a mida player you got an OG
you can overload as many sturm charges as you want by getting drang kills. I used sturm/drang running presage just for fun and by the time i got to the boss i had over 100 overcharged shots and just melted the boss. It may not be the most universally useful setip, but man is it fun to just wail on ppl with 34k+ damage from a hand cannon lol
Vex is slept on for PvE like crazy. People only recognise it bc of how rare it is and how op in pvp it used to be. In pvp it melts most enemies and its alternate fire does so much damage in my opinion its a low A or high B tier weapon
Vex's biggest issue is that its way more specific to your character build. Its *awesome* on Rain of Fire solar warlock, but... is it really worth running that over say, a normal weapon loadout with Sunbracers or Verities brow?
Happy to see Coldheart at least in the B category, i swap to centrifuse for pvp moments like gambit but on my armamentarium arc titan that uses ionic traces to regen grenade energy, its a very run dps weapon and general add clear as well. With mods for ammo stock i can afford to run a primary hand cannon or shotgun for enemies that coldheart takes just a little too long to clear.
In my opinion sweet business is one of the best solo pve weapons which is why I run it. It deals a good amount of damage per shot and it fires really fast and has a lot of ammo. Its got great range. All of these reasons are why its my favorite weapon. And its really fun which why I call it an infinite ammo machine gun. That's why I think its one of the best solo pve player
Funny enough on your comment for manticore, i love anarchy for my very sky regen build on my titan for very hectic hard boss fights. Keep mobile and healing while doing good damage over a long period. Very specific solo strat tho haha
Forth horseman has alot of dps with crux termination slide shot and surrounded perked and wardens law in first slot with lucky pants or use something else in primary and use star eaters and the dps is good

Borealis and Hardlight I'd like to have scorch weaken and blind rather than the op elemental buffs, as a invis volatile finisher blinklock rat king can be so clutch

on a strand build Quicksilver storm can give you tangles and your tangles can be very useful for threadlings or other utility depending on your class

qs doesnt rely THAT heavily on artifact mods. unravelling rounds have a nigh 100% uptime if you build into them right
Osteo does have a catalyst. Poison kills refill and overflow the mag.
That's right, that weapon is amazing either way.
Osteo (with catalyst) has saved my ass countless times in solo play..

Trinity Ghoul synergizes DISGUSTINGLY well with warlock arc soul. You can focus big targets and shock little targets at the same time. On top of that, arc soul re-procs lightning rod. The bow generates a TON of traces. The bow gets Arc multikills which gen a TON of orbs (with mods) and even more orbs because of the kills while amplified. Combine this with fallen sunstar, pulse grenade, and a grenade build and it becomes crazy.
Have you tried it with verity's brow or getaway artists as an alternative to sunstar? (I bring up getaways bc idk if you know there's a hidden perk that the sentient arc soul it gives generates nade energy on hits, and you can extend it forever with your rifts so you can just spam nades)
I know its niche, but Malfeasance with Lucky Pants is solo friendly and erases stuff. Then reload, put it away, and next time you see something that needs gone switch back. With Vorpal its eating good today

Dead Messenger definitely deserves to be in the C or B tier. Also, a lot of the kinetic exotic primaries are listed lower because “you’re gonna be using the special slot for an SMG”.
There are tons of great legendary special weps in the energy slot. Wave frames are far and away the best, one-two punch shotties or blinding GLs are great, trace rifles are wonderful, and there are plenty of good fusion rifles for majors or backup boss dps these days.
If you put just the slightest thought on using Collective Obligation, it's easily a higher tier, Night stalker w Gyrfalcons / Void Demo Titan w Second Chance both can give volatile and weaken(plus the 15% damage buff from void leach), the gun also has infinite ammo if you equip devour or use stylish executioner.
collective obligation is easily A-tier especially if you're doing a "spread the pain" build where you're damage rotation includes syphoning the void status effects from a target to a boss or any other enemy especially since suppression will disrupt overload champions
@fangslore9988 My favorite class to use the gun on is Hunter. You can easily get weaken and volatile with smoke bombs and Gyrfalcons. There is also a fragment that makes void breachs on volatile kills, which can proc devour and give class energy. This setup is really fun but personally falls off in gms, despite all the debuffs and void Leach damage increase, the gun feels weaker in terms of damage compared to quicksilver, so A tier feels like a perfect match for this gun. ( I personally like exotic pulses need a damage buff towards orange bars so they don't feel like crap in gms, quicksilver storm is an example of what exotics primarys should feel like damage wise)

The titan exotic glaive is a life saver solo and in a fireteam. The amount of times I saved myself from death is massive, and also I wouldn’t have gotten all 3 catalyst’s for the new exotic glaive without it...

@@nitro5202sadly the main thing tritons does is just give every glaive close to melee and chain reaction on energy shots. I think the only viable glaive build is on warlock using the fragments “echo of exchange, reprisal, and leeching”. Exchange gives grenade energy on melee final blows, reprisal gives super energy from kills while surrounded, and leeching is the most important giving free health regen to you AND your team from melee kills. Throw on Karnstein Armlets for even more regen. I used this through most of witch queen and lightfalls legend campaign throwing supers every minute

Final warning is interesting this season because of the artifact perk that increases void and arc damage from abilities if a target has a strand debuff. It gives a solo player a way to apply strand debuff while on arc/void if you don't already have the navigator.

I also really like Trinity Ghoul... but at least in the past, I found it dropped off hard when red bars get tough enough such that you might not get a kill with a shot--especially when you were shooting at a major surrounded by red bars and looking to crowd control that way. Ticuu's, on the other hand, manages it's perk without a required kill, which I always felt like it did superior damage when you were dealing with a major and still continuously damaging nearby red bars. But it's been a while since I've used it heavily, so perhaps I should go to Neomuna and try it again, as that is the epitome of tough red bars :)
Quicksilver Storm is (at the moment) the most busted exotic in the game, granades hit close to rockets, they grant an easy woven mail/tangle explosion, and it can unravel. Absolutely nuts.

Graviton Lance slaps pretty hard in high ad areas, I was farming kills through Shuro chi for guardian games, and decided to double up by unlocking catalysts and this one literally would decimate all the ads when I killed only one of them lol

I tried all of your F and D tier weapons in the nightfall solo and I agree with everything except Ruinous effigy. On my invize hunter it was a high A tier

You definitely should give rat king a chance for solo play. While the exotic perk is built around multiple people having the gun equipped, invis and healing on kill + reload on any class/subclass can be great in solo flawless dungeons and other scenarios
Id rather just run Hollow Denial and Gyrfalcons than bring any sidearm at ALL into solo play

Black Talon just needs to have suppression added to the heavy projectile on direct hits but currently it is the best void sword that's not Falling Guillotine.
Damage Combo is 2 heavy projectiles + 2 light attacks.
Also good in Gambit.
I swear by effigy, damage resist and the orbs do really strong damage, it's a life saver end game. You can also use the damage resist with Omni and stay invisible rendering you untouchable and it blinds everyone whilst using the orb, and you can get approximately 10 seconds before it explodes. For solo players this gun gives so much utility.
It also stuns overloads and unlike wavesplitter, it can break barriers when you have volatile rounds or radiant up

What did they even nerf? It's still doing as much damage as any other trace, the dunk deletes majors, the block let's you walk through a cabal rocket volley.... Was it better somehow? Literally my only complaint with effigy is that it gets boring. Kill a red bar, pick up orb, walk to major or pack, dunk, repeat.

@@evanwilson9493 they reduced the damage of aerial melee attacks with the Sphere, as well as HEAVILY decreasing the damage of the drain mode for the sphere. The second part is the part that really hurt it, bc the drain mode on the sphere pre-BL was fantastic
Collective obligation imo is easily an a tier minimum, as you said it’s a bit technical but with the right build it’s by far one of the strongest weapons you can use, with a Titan using controlled demolition with bastion for over shield and the right aspects etc you can have effectively all 3 effects procced from 1 grenade, plus they removed the cool-down
And with gyrfalcons it feeds into itself very easily and hunters has access to free weakens. The only thing you don’t have is volatile but you can just from the fragment

I assume you mean suppression? If so then you need suppressor grenade as far as I'm aware. Usually weaken and volatile are plenty, as weaken already suppresses them to some extent which has about the same effect as slowing them (so they can't aim for nothing and move slower). Some enemies just give up when weakened too.
I've been using Graviton Lance in Solo PVE since I got it, and its catalyst made it great, its recent buff made it even better, currently my highest kill cout weapon at around 57K kills it's a go to when there's a lot of annoying ads that get in the way, now it does more boss damage so it's always in my inventory, rarely in the vault

I usually skip ads, but for E I'll watch it 10x over...love the videos as always! One note for these longer, list-style videos: I love to "watch" these similar to podcasts- I'll pop in headphone and do chores around the house or what not, so it'd be great to have a little more verbalizing of what's on screen (I.e. there's a few weapons where you didn't say which weapon was on screen, like Vexcaliber or Wardcliff Coil) so you'd have to be watching to know what you were talking about. Outside of that, love this solo-focused content!
final warning deals insane amounts of damage and can intrinsically deal with barriers. it takes a little to adjust to, but it's at least B-A tier. putting it so low is crazy.
Sweet Business with a strand titan suspend build is fun, almost limitless uptime on your suspend, lots of woven mail from orbs and tangles, I use it frequently for legend lost sectors and have cleared GMs with it. It's definitely niche and requires a build around it, but it's got good stun, it's anti barrier this season, and with suspend it can burn single targets down fast. Pair it with a strand LMG and Actium War Rig and you're cooking in endgame content.
I agree with the Sweet Business placement with the exception of being combined with Actium. With the right mods and skills, that combo is super safe and melts most everything at a respectable pace. Sweet Business should be placed higher when paired with Actium War Rig.
Blur ur crazy putting touch of malice n lord of wolves in f tiere. With a good build touch is not bad and lord of wolves puts out good damage
Whisper is amazing on oryx because of the constant precision and the catalyst gives box breathing
Although not the most powerful, I would set Hard Light a little higher, as, with the current artifact mods: Auto-Rifle=Anti-Barrier, and in Legend/Master lost sectors, where elemental shields are way stronger than normal, that's a lot of functionality in a single slot.
You did not just put tommys that low. This seasoj its literly the ehst solo weapon you can easily outheal ot abd all thw sunspots it makes and scorch and damage and ignitions makes it amazing. What i used for solo flawless. Tommys mathcbook is legitimatly a beast. On titan its legit S tier. Also final warning is amazing great ad clear and amazing dps for a primary
I main Malfeasance in every activity for the fact that it's just way too comfortable. The weapon feels good to shoot and stacking five shots on targets couses them to explode, the taken damage bonus is just a little buff to me that doesn't matter as much, i just love how the gun feels. Plus it has interesting lore and the detail that your guardian's hands shake when you hold it as if it scared you, it just makes it feel more powerful
For ad clear, cryosthesia is pretty good. The shatter damage paired with stasis seekers can clear a large group of low level enemies easily. Especially for public events like terminal overload, this thing is VERY good.
100% agree with s tier . only one i would argue with is the malfeasence hand cannon , i think its A tier coupled with lucky pants. firing a full 20 round magazine into a target definately melts. thank you great video
I'll give you the lucky pants on a couple of those hand cannons, and with that exotic and the upcoming hand cannon buff a few may be REALLY strong. any agreement though i'll take since.
Telesto, fourth, and ruinous were did so dirty here. Telesto was the OG forbearance before wave frames even existed, and still is crazy good ad clear and does good dmg. Fourth isn't crazy good but I use it alot for solo dungeons. Ruinous has to be the most fun trace, in patrol this thing can 1 shot anything with the ball slam, and is also very good in solo dungeons with a void build.
I've gotten the most feedback about low ranking Ruinous and some of that may be justified. I really was trying to think about a Solo player going into solo specific activities and how the weapons can be beneficial in situations like that. But there are many different play styles so I never claimed to have this perfect.
The thud is an absolute blast. Reminds me of the good ol' days of Titanfall 2, driving the monarch, yelling profanities, and letting rip a stream of arc rounds.
i really feel you were too harsh on sweet business, ive used it with actium war rig to judy bully through most of the Lightfal legendary campaign solo, its a hit niche yeah but basically never having to reload or stop shooting is really handy for crowd control when solo.

I think when you reviwed touch of malice and Tommy's matchbook you neglected to consider lorely splendor. This easily counteracts the self damage, which allows you to dish out massive damage with your primary.
The fact that you NEED to proc Restoration to use a primary should say EVERYTHING on why you, under ANY circumstance, should not use Tommy's Matchbook.
Take of Loreley's, Embrace Synthos, Use sunshot or any other good solar weapon with Ember of Emperion, and now you're just murdering all the things with no drawbacks. If Tommy's gave restoration after a few kills it MIGHT be OK, but otherwise, every other exotic primary is better
Eriana’s Vow is honestly very good. Yes it kicks but it’s vertical, like stupid vertical, just wait for sight to return to center and clap the enemy again. I promise it’s good fun

Hard Light is the perfect gun for the weekly Cosmodrome mission that needs 20 void, arc, Solar to complete.
Hard light can serve for bounties, i'll give you that, i just see MUCH more potential if they 3.0 all the elements.
Always just an opinion but i've just not had Sweet Business treat me well, if it works for you though enjoy it.
@@Ebontis let me put it this way, sweet business by itself is not a a great gun, but if you have others also using it you melt through bosses. When bungie updated the exotic effect they more or less made it just like Rat King. Example Rat king alone is just a fancy side arm, but put with others guardians also using Rat King it becomes much more. Same goes for sweet business. By its self it’s just a gun that fires a lot but paired with other guardians it’s a god damn wrecking ball.
Now for single play, the only time I use Sweet business is with the actium warrig chest piece, because the reload is just too long, and the fact that you can put a constant stream of damage on an enemy is a plus. Does it need a damage boost yes, is it endgame worthy honestly depends on the person.

You should try Worldline just as a sword, without worrying about speed run stuff. You can spin twice in one heavy now, does good damage

My personal go to exotics is revision, quicksilver and crimson, mostly using revision as i just fully maxed it out and the 2 burst mode makes it feel like a scout rifle
Touch got a buff to healing return for rapid kills, nerf to self damage, arc synergy with its alt fire blind, necrotic grip synergy, and can no longer kill you with self damage as of this season. on a Devour Warlock, its actually really good with certain builds
im a returning player. but i used to love using ace of spades with the warlock chest that causes an explosion of your subclass element, it paired really well with the ace explosion

I use Hard Light more than any other energy auto, not to say that it is always the best energy option depending on the season.
For Trinity Ghoul, they SAY "Any Arc Final-Blow" triggers Lightning Rod, but I've noticed that Arc Super Kills actually don't seem to trigger it, ironically.
I think conditional finality should be a easy s tier, I’ve used it in solo flawless dungeons, master raid challenges, GMs etc etc, both shots in the mag stun unstops, it deals heaps of damage and if your good enough you can use the freeze to to essentially stun barrier and sometimes overload champs, it’s hand down the best raid exotic to date and one of the best exotics in the game for any activity
I was so torn on this one and we talked about it in chat. If you can acquire it, it really is fantastic.. but I also know as a solo PvE player it maybe be out of reach... but that doesn't mean isn't a great weapon once you have it. I was very close to pushing it up but the chat debate was tough.

Hierarchy of needs is so good solo, pick a good spot and you unleash hellfire upon your enemies, the catalyst is mandatory as it doubles the rate of fire when shooting through the ring. I had countless people see me absolutely slay out with it (even in GMs) and be like this looks like so much fun I need it now
I have been using winterbite using a titan strand build with the warbanner artifact it allows you to heal with your kills and it destroys in gambit
Heir Apparent works amazingly with Actium War Rig paired with void titan using bastion. Demolishes everything up to Bosses but Mini-bosses eat up too much ammo.
Little point about the last word tho: If you play it with kinetic surge and lucky pants you can actually use it as a pretty good yellow bar clear or even boss damage. Like its definitely sub par. But there is a part to it that actually works in pve. I finished the whole legendary witch queen campaign with it. And it was fun. Cuz running around quickdrawing everything just felt awesome. I would've moved it up to D Tier. Cuz there's a lot of stuff that is better. But especially if you play hunter, there is a place for it.
Wish ender is my fav weapon in the game for high end content rn glad to see it get some love
I'll say this about Rat King being in D tier. Rat King was indispensable in getting my first grasp of avarice solo flawless on my warlock. The invisibility nearly on command was an incredible tool. On bossless and ad-heavy encounters, it is great for keeping any class safe from danger.
Rat King comes in handy in solo raid encounters too, like VOG opening.
Skyburner's can be situational. BUT for a hunter with weighted knives, ember that makes you radiant on charged melee hits, Knock 'em down, and ophidia spathe, Skyburner's becomes a whole lot of fun with a whole lot of BOOM. I also noticed that Forerunner isn't here... (Maybe just me but idk)
I think that suros regime should be higher but that’s basically just because it carried me through the early game with the spin up perk and the health steal effect. I got a soft spot for it.
i may be late but travelers chosen also gets a buff to its stats with more stacks of gathering light
Cryostisia is an aoe not a single target only. Works well on grouped up enemies

Osteo Striga has a catalyst. It's just listed in the normal perks rather than next to the infuse box. It overloads the weapon on DOT kills up to 4x the capacity (108 rounds).
At least on sanguine voidluck touch of malice feels great, also lumina is my movement tech of choice hehe

I've lost count of the "guide" videos that left me guessing where I needed to go for collectibles or lost sector entrance locations, or specific strategies for encounters.

The Black Talon is nice for Dares when you have the powered buff. I use a lot of swords, and I build mostly around sword usage.

Borealis is just misunderstood. The bonus damage you get from breaking a matched shields pretty crazy.
Terrabah is cracked beyond reason if you build for it.
4th is one of the highest damage shotguns we've ever had. I use it regularly for champion nuking.
So many Exotics! I just started playing heavily a few weeks ago, but running Monte Carlo on a Sunbracers build feels godly lol
Sweet Business is definitely effective in PVE when paired with a TItan and the Actium War Rig chest armor. 150 shot magazine, primary ammo, and auto-continuous reload? You can fire almost forever!
I know its against the grain a bit, but IMO Ace of Spades is actually pretty good in PvE since the 40% exotic buff. Fast reload, Momento Mori boosted Firefly, free kill clip damage, it honestly has everything you want. I'm not claiming S tier, but I do feel it warrants C or B.
Edit: Getting further through the video, I feel you are severely undervaluing that 40% bonus damage on exotic primaries. In the meta at high level you are basically always using Forbearance and a machine gun or legendary rocket, so you are free to use exotic primaries. Legendary primaries as a whole feel weak right now.
Ostreo Striga does have a catalyst , Final blows returns ammo, but you need to craft the weapon.

Mida was at one point a great weapon to have back in the early days and it’s never changed from then. Today it’s not ideal for any pve content but every now and then you can find a mobility hunter with mida who can carry revives simply for being too fast especially when you can have another kinetic in the energy slot that carries and you can swap to mida for the boost alone. Me personally can revive players while strafing just using this weapon. It has a purpose that shouldn’t be tiered this low but it’s misunderstood these days as compared to early years after Al the fluff to the game. If you find a mida player you got an OG
you can overload as many sturm charges as you want by getting drang kills. I used sturm/drang running presage just for fun and by the time i got to the boss i had over 100 overcharged shots and just melted the boss. It may not be the most universally useful setip, but man is it fun to just wail on ppl with 34k+ damage from a hand cannon lol

Vex is slept on for PvE like crazy. People only recognise it bc of how rare it is and how op in pvp it used to be. In pvp it melts most enemies and its alternate fire does so much damage in my opinion its a low A or high B tier weapon
Vex's biggest issue is that its way more specific to your character build.
Its *awesome* on Rain of Fire solar warlock, but... is it really worth running that over say, a normal weapon loadout with Sunbracers or Verities brow?

This is the first tier list that I agree with from beginning to end
Happy to see Coldheart at least in the B category, i swap to centrifuse for pvp moments like gambit but on my armamentarium arc titan that uses ionic traces to regen grenade energy, its a very run dps weapon and general add clear as well. With mods for ammo stock i can afford to run a primary hand cannon or shotgun for enemies that coldheart takes just a little too long to clear.
I remember in D1 mida was my only exotic when I first went into VOG, always have a soft spot for it because of that
In my opinion sweet business is one of the best solo pve weapons which is why I run it. It deals a good amount of damage per shot and it fires really fast and has a lot of ammo. Its got great range. All of these reasons are why its my favorite weapon. And its really fun which why I call it an infinite ammo machine gun. That's why I think its one of the best solo pve player
Funny enough on your comment for manticore, i love anarchy for my very sky regen build on my titan for very hectic hard boss fights.
Keep mobile and healing while doing good damage over a long period. Very specific solo strat tho haha
Forth horseman has alot of dps with crux termination slide shot and surrounded perked and wardens law in first slot with lucky pants or use something else in primary and use star eaters and the dps is good

What about outbreak perfected?? Does it still worth the grind?? I've used it in the past D1 in particular and it was shredding everything in its path. Also i like it 😀
Borealis and Hardlight I'd like to have scorch weaken and blind rather than the op elemental buffs, as a invis volatile finisher blinklock rat king can be so clutch
Osteo with catalyst and a void warlock with a devour build and Nazerec's Sin makes for one very hard to kill solo build
