Zaoulis or Raviolis bane is actually pretty good and fun to use when playing pve tho incandescent and explosive payload makes it fun I think it deserves a tier higher than bad but I see why u did so

I feel so special now knowing that Nomad noted that Sturm is “not for everyone.” I swear by that weapon. It is a glorious piece of golden age tech. I am one of the few left.
@@viviolet7 exactly bro. Every stat feels perfect, it doesnt lack there at all (not even the slow reload, that glorious custom reload animation is so nice to watch). Its just all around a fantastic hand cannon. It has no downsides, while at the same time not doing anything particularly special. Its just straight up good.
My favorite PvE hand cannon from way back: Duke Mk. 44 I had one with Outlaw/Rampage, so fun to use that I raked up over 16k on it. Now Crimson is about the only PvE hand cannon, since it's basically a pulse with heals and reloads.
It's nice to see other fans of the Duke. I garnered so many PvP kills with my Rapid-Hit/Rampage Duke. (Albeit, back when Rampage Damage was insane on 120's) The Gun just sounds and feels great, the Range was outstanding, and it was a sure threat to anyone who wanted to tango with a Precision-Seeking Maniac like me. I just wish they'd bring it back...
Commenting at 1:44 before the tier list gets underway: Hawkmoon with champ mods is probably the most fun I have with a handcannon and I highly recommend it to anyone who either wants to or actively enjoys handcannons in PvE. Brownie points if you say "Ka-kaw!" as you let the charged bullet fly
@@BcDyxaLKgoNdgU Season of the Splicer had overload handcannon, and my squad and I all ran Hawkmoon in the Glassway GM, it was the most effective way for us to take out the overload captains at the time, and dealt consistent damage to the big boy hydra at the end
Erianna’s Vow with Lucky Pants is legit goated in PvE. So is Malfeasance if you’re gonna cheese something from a safe spot where you will expend all your heavy and special quickly.
It does, but it’s hard to hit shots overall and it honestly doesn’t seem to melt as fast as Malfeasance. Plus u have to to run solar with Vow which isn’t bad but doesn’t free up better builds like Strand and Stasis
Zaoulis bane is impacted mostly by the gun model itself. The bulky gun model with the strange upward tilt of the visual recoil and the floaty iron sights just make it so difficult to use and get used to even in pve
I absolutely adore pure poetry and steady hand. Also, don't discount how huge the passive AE that air assault grants is. With Icarus and one grounded kill you hit 70 on PP, an airborne kill you hit 100. It's beautiful

There’s definitely a learning curve that’s for sure, as a hand cannon addict I really don’t know what works for me until I try it, sunshot is gorgeous for me but I could not stand the new palindrome, fatebringer is my baby but I can never use ace consistently, I’m only now getting used to 120’s and even then round Robin is the cream of the crop for me, just experiment and see what works for you

I really liked my crafted zhaoli's bane in PvE mainly for explosive payload and incandescent, but after getting that hand cannon from the veil quest I realized just how bad it felt

I normally disagree with most Tier Listings, but.. I can't. Everything you listed fits perfectly and what is what I would place each of them in the exact same spots. My baby Ace getting the respect it deserves. Your summation of Palindrome was also interesting but accurate, it's a gun so good it's like watching a Storm Trooper go up against Darth Vader in his prime just to be absolutely demolished. I love Hand Cannons and this list was accurate. Great job, Nomad.
Yes, my baby is in Elite! Eyasluna was the first legendary HC I fell in love with in Crucible. With Rangefinder and Moving Target, this puppy dances in my hand (and no, I don't think the change/nerf to Rangefinder is gonna hurt it).
While I love rapid hit+rampage, I completely get the description you gave on Trust. It feels good to shoot even if it's not the best of the bunch. I had a hard time putting it down even after I got Luna's Howl back in the day!
As a hunter who mains Void a handcannon is the best weapon to use. Along with the ace of spades simply getting one headshot has killed entire mobs of enemies while allowing me to go invisible and get ready for the next.
I have a timelost fatebringer with a range masterwork, hammerforged, accurized explosive and eye of the storm.. I’ve never had a handcannon that felt that great
im happy with dire promise's placement. it was my first legendary gun, my first masterwork weapon, and the only kinetic gun i ran until beyond light (i started playing just before season of the lost and cross platform)
Did you try Ikelos Hc with Golden Tricorn/Offhand Strike? That's a long lasting three tap damage buff for a good ttk at great ranges while hip firing, which is already extremely accurate.
OK... Am I the odd one out here ? when Zhaouli's bane came back, me and my clan were amazed by how it performed in PvE ... incandescent and explosive rounds made it feel like an exotic to us, and i'm sure that i've got more than 3 thousands kills on it (which as someone who changes weapons to play with like shirts, is a lot)
It's not the feel. It's just the practical usefulness. Four shot unboosted ttk is 1s, and unlike 120's with the same tkk, they don't reach as far or hit as hard

@@SALMONCATCHER11 Fate is better already than all rangefinder handcannons. EP gives flinch, aoe, magnetism, less damage falloff, whilst fatebringer itself reaches 33m without rangefinder and also has eye of the storm.
Only one I hard disagree with is Dire Promise. As far as I know it had one of if not the highest aim assist out of all 140s, on top of having solid perks and a great reticle. You can also roll different reticles on it so it can get higher zoom than other 140s.
No hand cannon reticles grant zoom. Dire is slim and steady, feels better almost all other handcannona, but you haven't lived until you've fired eyasluna with whatever combination tickles your fancy. Dire is great, but it's power crept
idk how crimson isnt in a tier of its own or even just at the highest rank. its put below ace by a little bit which is weird. if i recall correctly it does more damage that momento ace and requires no setup, has more range literally has 3 short of 2x aces stability, only 15 less handling and 16 more reload speed and lastly has 5 more aim assistance and 1 more airborn effectiveness. ontop of crimsons insane damageput outdoing aces literal exotic perk that requires a kill to activate it also regenerates like 40 hp and reloads ur gun on kills..not to mention that with 3 bullets the recoil ur opponents get is way harder to control than with ace cause as soon as you get shot you make the adjustment to ur aim then you get hit 2 more times..requires you to adjust ur aim multiple times whilst ace is just a predictable single adjustment. especially because its been so popular for so long that its not difficult to adjust anymore if ur a long time player.
Hand Cannons on Hunter with Lucky Pants always have a place in PvE, even if it's just Eriana's Vow. Crimson + Lucky Pants + Strand has been my default build since the Hand Cannon buff.
With the zhaouli's bane, one of the main reason is its sights are muuch wider and just chunkier then any other hand cannon, making it feel and act as if its close range
For pve, I actually find 120s quite enjoyable to use. High enough damage profiles without having to get into smg territory. Scouts can feel awkward in that middling range, so if your play style is too aggressive for scouts and not enough for smgs, I recommend a good 120
I like to use my crafted Zahoulis Bane with enhanced explosive payload and incandescent in pve content, and its feels great. However, i never wanna use it in grandmaster-esque content cause i prefer longer range primarys
Bottom dollar is underated in this list, with insane perk combos like rangefinder and explosive payload, it has the highest range out of any 120 hand cannon in the game. It feels good to use, has a clean sight, and a good origin trait, yeah you have to play gambit to get it, but that shouldn't affect it on the tier list as a god roll of it is just incredible.
Crimson isn't used on PC because PC players typically play max FOV and the guns sight's are broken and prevent you seeing what you're shooting at. Not such an issue with aim assist.

As of rn, Trust is my favourite handcannon in the game. The one I use has Dragonfly, Heating up, and stability mw. I agree with the placement tho, bc I've always felt it's more for PvE use than PvP, especially my role. It feels amazing tho, get one if you don't have one.
For Zaouli’s Bane there’s some kind of weird zoom bug or reticle placement that makes it really weird to use. You cant even see your hands it’s so zoomed in
Out of all the HC's on this list, I somehow always default back to Eriana's Vow above everything else. Aha. Crimson, Ace or Trust were my go-to until I got the EV catalyst done. Might not be meta in any way but damn is it satisfying to use, especially in pvp with a Titan throwing hammer to soften up the unsuspecting first. Don't think I'll ever get bored of that unwieldy chunk of metal as my personal #1.
interestingly, i started playing the game in season of the chosen, having picked the game up because of xbox game pass, and having played D1 growing up (17 now), and dropped waking vigil in my first hour of playing the game, rangefinder dragonfly and it's still to this day my favorite handcannon i have
Got a godly Crisis Inverted with Extended Barrel so it’s pattern is 100 with ricochet rounds, tunnel, and ranger finder with range master work and dear lord it’s so crispy it brings me back to the D1 Omolon Handcannon days and that was when you could order guns from Banshee every Wednesday and get nasty ass roles.
Is anyone else really confused by his perk nitpicks? He says Fatebringer can't be elite because its perks hold it back when it literally has Eye of the Storm + Explosive Payload (arguably the best, most consistent perk combo for handcannons in the game), and then when he talks about weapons like the Steady Hand he gives freaking mulligan and honorable mention and places it in elite above Fatebringer? How does that work? Palindrome has a completely dead column 3 with no consistency perks but its the cannon he praises most highly, while Austringer is completely stacked with godly PvP perks like Eye of the Storm, Opening Shot, Zen Moment, Rangefinder, Snapshot, even Air Assault for building AE, but he criticizes it for "not having the greatest selection of PvP perks". This tier list legitimately makes zero sense, it just seems like he rated whatever is most popular most highly and whatever isn't was put low on the list. Also, why include NF and Luna's when they are both sunset? They are the only sunset options on the list, their inclusion is nonsensical. And putting Crimson that high when it is literally one of the worst handcannons in the game? You can't peak shot with it so it can't compete with other handcannons, it doesn't have the range of pulse rifles so it can't compete with pulse rifles, and it lacks the ttk of shorter range options like smgs and sidearms. The only primaries worse and more out of place than Crimson are auto rifles. Crimson only works against bad opponents with no primary shot who can't use cover. As a fellow PvP lover and a handcannon main, I have to say that this tier list is kinda shite. For a 28 minute video, its kind of shocking how little useful information was given on each handcannon, and how many inaccuracies were made. How can anyone gush about how Rose is a "stat monster" when it literally is not from a statistical standpoint? Let's compare Timelost Fatebringer (which was rated lower) and Rose for a second. In terms of base stats, Fatebringer beats Rose by 3 range, a whopping 12 stability, only has 5 less handling (which is easily made up by the adept masterwork and adept icarus), and only 1 less aim assist. Reload speed is a throwaway stat, the only stat where Rose really has a compelling lead is in Airborne Effectiveness, which wasn't even mentioned in the video. AE is the real appeal of Rose, not stats. Rose actually has extremely garbage stability for a 140 handcannon in the kinetic slot, Austringer has 14 more base stability and Eyasluna has 19 more base stability. And in order to make up that stability and get to a reasonable number you have to sacrifice its high base handling by running heavy grip, at which point you're still going to have less stability than the other meta kinetic 140s. Rose is, on paper, the statistically worst handcannon that is considered meta, its popularity stems primarily from its high AE and lightweight bonus. This was a poorly made tier list that seemingly had very little actual thought put into it. If you are considered an authority on the crucible, you should at the very least aim to not say blatantly incorrect things in your videos about a topic you are supposed to be knowledgeable about.
I really love the way Loud Lullaby feels to use. It's heavy and clunky, but it hits hard and sounds great. It gives me the feeling of driving a miniature semi truck into somebody's skull. Kinda like how Arbalest felt back when it first released.
Thorn makes me so sad. I got my first Thorn the day after the big balance patch that buffed it to a 2 tap on D1 dropped. It was a good day. I miss when the poison actually justified the exotic slot
I recently got immensely lucky in running my friend through Avarice for his first time; I got an Eyasluna with perpetual motion and moving target. 100 aim assist and 100 stability when strafing. An absolute monster with stompees. Up until now, I've never used handcannons in crucible, but this was just too good to pass up. It's an absolute pleasure of a gun to use. *Edit after watching the tier list fully* Holy smokes I knew I had struck oil, but man! I'm rich!

Crimil's Dagger having Moving Target + Opening Shot should be illegal. Mine had the luck to roll with those, Sureshot, Accurized and a handling MW and I've never put it down except for Lumina support builds. My only guess is that it's never been made available because it was so good and it dodged the Sunset wave as we got a million 120s at the same time shortly after it came out last.

Love ascendant nomads videos but admittedly i don’t understand the theme of youtubers making tier lists right before a new season! Anyone watching this during the season of the deep, a few of the hand cannons look like they could be pretty good picks, but nation of the beasts after the rangefinder buff has a good chance to become top tier, not only because of a new perk pool, but its also now craftable! Has an amazing keep away exposive payload roll, and a memey(?) roll of hipfire grip offhand strike. Don’t know how this feels on a hand cannon yet but unironically an incredible roll on heritage, my personal favorite roll on the gun. May have some potential on this. Worth a try for some funky stuff if you get it as a random roll!

I am critically addicted to the space cowboy playstyle, in both PvP and PvE, particularly on my Hunter. Thus, Deadshot Golden Gun, Lucky Pants, and Last Word have carried me through the last two DLC campaigns, Strikes, Gambit, Crucible... literally everything I play in this game
i actually love the way zaouli's bane feels, *except* how the reload takes like a quarter of a second longer than it should for the bullets to actually end up in the mag. instant dealbreaker

The older seventh seraph revolver with ambitious assassin and timed payload is so good. Amazing damage at all ranges and possibly a 30 round magazine makes it worth using

Trust, Duke and Not forgotten are my favorite.... Though I use the Halo CE Magnum because it's a handcannon in sidearm skin plus uses special letting me pair it with a primary without having to dual primaries... I hate doing that. I am talking pve/gambit btw.
You’re missing the part where steady hand is the best pal of le Monarque. I have one with QuickDraw snapshot and when I feel like ruining people’s day, I equip these bad boys and let it tear, my face included after all the T bagging you get with that cheeky hot swap combo.
There is also Optative, which used to be kinda strong when it released, especially when paired with something like OG mountaintop (sure, you could just shoot the person on the body, but whats the fun in that?) You could rock that perk that made you change faster with empty mag (forgot the name) on mtt, kill clip on optative, any decent perk on third column, tune it for range, shoot near someone with MTT, insta-change to optative to finish the person off, reload and you have a not forgotten, pair that with its excellent feel and movement exotics and well... you could just run over 6x6's, unfortunately i lost the opportunity to craft its reincarnation when i didn't have time to play during season of the wish. I hope it comes back soon, also i'd like to see how sightline survey would compare with the ones on this list, especially as a fan of the 180 archetype.
I miss my Trust, I never used it for PVP, not really, but it dropped with dragonfly and a few others. I had so much fun getting headshots and making them explode.

Great list! I have a few Roses but my favourite has slideshot and explosive payload. I have a True Prophecy with opening shot and explosive payload... happy to see that I farmed the right Hand Cannons. I am currently farming Gambit for Malfeasance... and just got sunshot which I am loving but testing it out before I bring it into the Crucible. Also, got a midnight Coup with Firefly and Rampage which is lovely when you get rampage going (which is easy to do because of FF) I have a few others on your list except AOS and Last Word. But after this video, I think it's time to add them to my hand cannon collection as well.
While HCs were never Great in PvE, the Precision Multiplier Nerf that dropped with the release of Shadowkeep really pushed them further away. Having said that I really like Sunshot. Zaouhlis Bane with Explosive + Incandescent is a nice Legendary replacement. I wouldn't use it in PvP though.
As a resident Waking Vigil main, I take great offense! It not only rolls some of the best perks for aim assist and weapon feel you can get, and has sight options over barrel options, which tend to have a greater stat package, it also did get buffed with the other former 150s, putting its stats back in line with other hand cannons. I highly recommend one with a high handling, with Fastdraw HCS, Handling masterwork, and your mag of choice (mine has High-Cal), with Targeting Adjuster, I have 88 Handling and 92 Aim Assist, plus Opening Shot and Rangefinder to make it even stickier. It trades slightly less range compared to options like Austringer and Eyasluna with similar parts, in exchange for a significant Handling bump and a slight aim assist bump. a It's a fantastic weapon if you prefer weapon feel and bullet magnetism over other perk options, it is most certainly not an "Okay" weapon! The only hand cannon I have seen that feels even remotely close is Rose with Quickdraw and Snapshot.
Sunshot the most fun weapons to use in pve when there's a group of low/medium health enemies in a tight group. 30 thralls running at me are gone with one shot and it's so cool to watch the chain reaction

doesnt even need an exotic perk for me, it just feels good. dont care at all about the synergy, the stat package punches way above its weight class

The Duke was the best 120 to use in destiny 1 and 2. I’m sad it’s been sunset into nonexistence and 120s aren’t that strong without high damage perks

For anyone trying this keep in mind that Vow has a custom interaction with Luck Pants and gets a smaller damage buff than other hand cannons.

I prefer saving the exotic slot and using second seraph with vorpal and a major mod. Let’s me use le monarche for overloads or another exotic.

Honestly the weird feeling to me is mainly because of the 88 recoil, but this is easily fixed by a a counterbalance mod which helps a lot.

i got an explosive payload incandescent one and it is literally a legendary SunShot, ive been using it in both pvp and pve

There’s definitely a learning curve that’s for sure, as a hand cannon addict I really don’t know what works for me until I try it, sunshot is gorgeous for me but I could not stand the new palindrome, fatebringer is my baby but I can never use ace consistently, I’m only now getting used to 120’s and even then round Robin is the cream of the crop for me, just experiment and see what works for you

I normally disagree with most Tier Listings, but.. I can't. Everything you listed fits perfectly and what is what I would place each of them in the exact same spots. My baby Ace getting the respect it deserves. Your summation of Palindrome was also interesting but accurate, it's a gun so good it's like watching a Storm Trooper go up against Darth Vader in his prime just to be absolutely demolished.

Yes, my baby is in Elite! Eyasluna was the first legendary HC I fell in love with in Crucible. With Rangefinder and Moving Target, this puppy dances in my hand (and no, I don't think the change/nerf to Rangefinder is gonna hurt it).

As a hunter who mains Void a handcannon is the best weapon to use. Along with the ace of spades simply getting one headshot has killed entire mobs of enemies while allowing me to go invisible and get ready for the next.

Did you try Ikelos Hc with Golden Tricorn/Offhand Strike? That's a long lasting three tap damage buff for a good ttk at great ranges while hip firing, which is already extremely accurate.

Am I the odd one out here ? when Zhaouli's bane came back, me and my clan were amazed by how it performed in PvE ... incandescent and explosive rounds made it feel like an exotic to us, and i'm sure that i've got more than 3 thousands kills on it (which as someone who changes weapons to play with like shirts, is a lot)

It's not the feel. It's just the practical usefulness. Four shot unboosted ttk is 1s, and unlike 120's with the same tkk, they don't reach as far or hit as hard

Only one I hard disagree with is Dire Promise. As far as I know it had one of if not the highest aim assist out of all 140s, on top of having solid perks and a great reticle. You can also roll different reticles on it so it can get higher zoom than other 140s.
No hand cannon reticles grant zoom. Dire is slim and steady, feels better almost all other handcannona, but you haven't lived until you've fired eyasluna with whatever combination tickles your fancy. Dire is great, but it's power crept
idk how crimson isnt in a tier of its own or even just at the highest rank. its put below ace by a little bit which is weird. if i recall correctly it does more damage that momento ace and requires no setup, has more range literally has 3 short of 2x aces stability, only 15 less handling and 16 more reload speed and lastly has 5 more aim assistance and 1 more airborn effectiveness.
ontop of crimsons insane damageput outdoing aces literal exotic perk that requires a kill to activate it also regenerates like 40 hp and reloads ur gun on kills..not to mention that with 3 bullets the recoil ur opponents get is way harder to control than with ace cause as soon as you get shot you make the adjustment to ur aim then you get hit 2 more times..requires you to adjust ur aim multiple times whilst ace is just a predictable single adjustment. especially because its been so popular for so long that its not difficult to adjust anymore if ur a long time player.
Hand Cannons on Hunter with Lucky Pants always have a place in PvE, even if it's just Eriana's Vow. Crimson + Lucky Pants + Strand has been my default build since the Hand Cannon buff.

With the zhaouli's bane, one of the main reason is its sights are muuch wider and just chunkier then any other hand cannon, making it feel and act as if its close range

For pve, I actually find 120s quite enjoyable to use. High enough damage profiles without having to get into smg territory. Scouts can feel awkward in that middling range, so if your play style is too aggressive for scouts and not enough for smgs, I recommend a good 120
I like to use my crafted Zahoulis Bane with enhanced explosive payload and incandescent in pve content, and its feels great. However, i never wanna use it in grandmaster-esque content cause i prefer longer range primarys

Bottom dollar is underated in this list, with insane perk combos like rangefinder and explosive payload, it has the highest range out of any 120 hand cannon in the game. It feels good to use, has a clean sight, and a good origin trait, yeah you have to play gambit to get it, but that shouldn't affect it on the tier list as a god roll of it is just incredible.
Crimson isn't used on PC because PC players typically play max FOV and the guns sight's are broken and prevent you seeing what you're shooting at. Not such an issue with aim assist.

As of rn, Trust is my favourite handcannon in the game. The one I use has Dragonfly, Heating up, and stability mw. I agree with the placement tho, bc I've always felt it's more for PvE use than PvP, especially my role. It feels amazing tho, get one if you don't have one.
Zaolis is probably the only pve hand Cannon . Explosive payload and incandescent. Does have a strange feel to it though .
For Zaouli’s Bane there’s some kind of weird zoom bug or reticle placement that makes it really weird to use. You cant even see your hands it’s so zoomed in
Out of all the HC's on this list, I somehow always default back to Eriana's Vow above everything else. Aha. Crimson, Ace or Trust were my go-to until I got the EV catalyst done. Might not be meta in any way but damn is it satisfying to use, especially in pvp with a Titan throwing hammer to soften up the unsuspecting first. Don't think I'll ever get bored of that unwieldy chunk of metal as my personal #1.

Got a godly Crisis Inverted with Extended Barrel so it’s pattern is 100 with ricochet rounds, tunnel, and ranger finder with range master work and dear lord it’s so crispy it brings me back to the D1 Omolon Handcannon days and that was when you could order guns from Banshee every Wednesday and get nasty ass roles.
Is anyone else really confused by his perk nitpicks? He says Fatebringer can't be elite because its perks hold it back when it literally has Eye of the Storm + Explosive Payload (arguably the best, most consistent perk combo for handcannons in the game), and then when he talks about weapons like the Steady Hand he gives freaking mulligan and honorable mention and places it in elite above Fatebringer? How does that work? Palindrome has a completely dead column 3 with no consistency perks but its the cannon he praises most highly, while Austringer is completely stacked with godly PvP perks like Eye of the Storm, Opening Shot, Zen Moment, Rangefinder, Snapshot, even Air Assault for building AE, but he criticizes it for "not having the greatest selection of PvP perks". This tier list legitimately makes zero sense, it just seems like he rated whatever is most popular most highly and whatever isn't was put low on the list. Also, why include NF and Luna's when they are both sunset? They are the only sunset options on the list, their inclusion is nonsensical. And putting Crimson that high when it is literally one of the worst handcannons in the game? You can't peak shot with it so it can't compete with other handcannons, it doesn't have the range of pulse rifles so it can't compete with pulse rifles, and it lacks the ttk of shorter range options like smgs and sidearms. The only primaries worse and more out of place than Crimson are auto rifles. Crimson only works against bad opponents with no primary shot who can't use cover. As a fellow PvP lover and a handcannon main, I have to say that this tier list is kinda shite. For a 28 minute video, its kind of shocking how little useful information was given on each handcannon, and how many inaccuracies were made. How can anyone gush about how Rose is a "stat monster" when it literally is not from a statistical standpoint? Let's compare Timelost Fatebringer (which was rated lower) and Rose for a second. In terms of base stats, Fatebringer beats Rose by 3 range, a whopping 12 stability, only has 5 less handling (which is easily made up by the adept masterwork and adept icarus), and only 1 less aim assist. Reload speed is a throwaway stat, the only stat where Rose really has a compelling lead is in Airborne Effectiveness, which wasn't even mentioned in the video. AE is the real appeal of Rose, not stats. Rose actually has extremely garbage stability for a 140 handcannon in the kinetic slot, Austringer has 14 more base stability and Eyasluna has 19 more base stability. And in order to make up that stability and get to a reasonable number you have to sacrifice its high base handling by running heavy grip, at which point you're still going to have less stability than the other meta kinetic 140s. Rose is, on paper, the statistically worst handcannon that is considered meta, its popularity stems primarily from its high AE and lightweight bonus. This was a poorly made tier list that seemingly had very little actual thought put into it. If you are considered an authority on the crucible, you should at the very least aim to not say blatantly incorrect things in your videos about a topic you are supposed to be knowledgeable about.

I really love the way Loud Lullaby feels to use. It's heavy and clunky, but it hits hard and sounds great. It gives me the feeling of driving a miniature semi truck into somebody's skull. Kinda like how Arbalest felt back when it first released.

Thorn makes me so sad. I got my first Thorn the day after the big balance patch that buffed it to a 2 tap on D1 dropped. It was a good day. I miss when the poison actually justified the exotic slot
I recently got immensely lucky in running my friend through Avarice for his first time; I got an Eyasluna with perpetual motion and moving target. 100 aim assist and 100 stability when strafing. An absolute monster with stompees. Up until now, I've never used handcannons in crucible, but this was just too good to pass up. It's an absolute pleasure of a gun to use. *Edit after watching the tier list fully* Holy smokes I knew I had struck oil, but man! I'm rich!
Yeah, i love my zaoli's bane in pve but im like, only 80 percent accurate with it, it feels like im holding a brick in my hands instead of an actual handcannon.
Crimil's Dagger having Moving Target + Opening Shot should be illegal. Mine had the luck to roll with those, Sureshot, Accurized and a handling MW and I've never put it down except for Lumina support builds. My only guess is that it's never been made available because it was so good and it dodged the Sunset wave as we got a million 120s at the same time shortly after it came out last.

Love ascendant nomads videos but admittedly i don’t understand the theme of youtubers making tier lists right before a new season! Anyone watching this during the season of the deep, a few of the hand cannons look like they could be pretty good picks, but nation of the beasts after the rangefinder buff has a good chance to become top tier, not only because of a new perk pool, but its also now craftable! Has an amazing keep away exposive payload roll, and a memey(?) roll of hipfire grip offhand strike. Don’t know how this feels on a hand cannon yet but unironically an incredible roll on heritage, my personal favorite roll on the gun. May have some potential on this. Worth a try for some funky stuff if you get it as a random roll!

I am critically addicted to the space cowboy playstyle, in both PvP and PvE, particularly on my Hunter. Thus, Deadshot Golden Gun, Lucky Pants, and Last Word have carried me through the last two DLC campaigns, Strikes, Gambit, Crucible... literally everything I play in this game

Yep. Used that for my entire Legendary campaign with Path of Burning Steps. Even better now with the damage increase.
There is also Optative, which used to be kinda strong when it released, especially when paired with something like OG mountaintop (sure, you could just shoot the person on the body, but whats the fun in that?) You could rock that perk that made you change faster with empty mag (forgot the name) on mtt, kill clip on optative, any decent perk on third column, tune it for range, shoot near someone with MTT, insta-change to optative to finish the person off, reload and you have a not forgotten, pair that with its excellent feel and movement exotics and well... you could just run over 6x6's, unfortunately i lost the opportunity to craft its reincarnation when i didn't have time to play during season of the wish. I hope it comes back soon, also i'd like to see how sightline survey would compare with the ones on this list, especially as a fan of the 180 archetype.
I find the fact there are currently 44 hand cannons in game funny seeing as they are based after revolvers.
I miss my Trust, I never used it for PVP, not really, but it dropped with dragonfly and a few others. I had so much fun getting headshots and making them explode.

Great list! I have a few Roses but my favourite has slideshot and explosive payload. I have a True Prophecy with opening shot and explosive payload... happy to see that I farmed the right Hand Cannons.
I am currently farming Gambit for Malfeasance... and just got sunshot which I am loving but testing it out before I bring it into the Crucible.
Also, got a midnight Coup with Firefly and Rampage which is lovely when you get rampage going (which is easy to do because of FF)
I have a few others on your list except AOS and Last Word. But after this video, I think it's time to add them to my hand cannon collection as well.
As for PVE I think Crimson is top teir. It has a 24 round mag, 3 shot bursts and reloads with precision hits. Not a bad gun for Hand Cannon lovers.
While HCs were never Great in PvE, the Precision Multiplier Nerf that dropped with the release of Shadowkeep really pushed them further away.
Having said that I really like Sunshot.

Explosive + Incandescent is a nice Legendary replacement. I wouldn't use it in PvP though.
As a resident Waking Vigil main, I take great offense!
It not only rolls some of the best perks for aim assist and weapon feel you can get, and has sight options over barrel options, which tend to have a greater stat package, it also did get buffed with the other former 150s, putting its stats back in line with other hand cannons. I highly recommend one with a high handling, with Fastdraw HCS, Handling masterwork, and your mag of choice (mine has High-Cal), with Targeting Adjuster, I have 88 Handling and 92 Aim Assist, plus Opening Shot and Rangefinder to make it even stickier. It trades slightly less range compared to options like Austringer and Eyasluna with similar parts, in exchange for a significant Handling bump and a slight aim assist bump. a It's a fantastic weapon if you prefer weapon feel and bullet magnetism over other perk options, it is most certainly not an "Okay" weapon! The only hand cannon I have seen that feels even remotely close is Rose with Quickdraw and Snapshot.

Sunshot the most fun weapons to use in pve when there's a group of low/medium health enemies in a tight group. 30 thralls running at me are gone with one shot and it's so cool to watch the chain reaction
