    Thank you Jen. I first found out about RFA by pure chance from you on you-tube. Thank you so much. Suddenly I could see another less evasive option.
    I finally had RFA on 2 nodules 11 days ago. It was a difficult journey finding a DR that did this procedure in the UK. But I am so glad I did. My thyroid consultant initially in 2015 told me the only option I had was to have my entire thyroid out even though it was working & then the nodules were small. My nodules grew over time, but thyroid was still working even if it was a bit wobbly. I eventually found one hospital & DR that did RFA.
    Thank you telling the world about RFA JEN. ❤ Forever grateful

    Yes it helped me a lot. I had all these thoughts and stuff about RFA and now I’m feeling great about the possibility of this being an option for me, although my endocrinologist is a little less optimistic because of the size of my nodule.

    Jen, I disagree with one thing you said - I think this video was very well done! 😂 Both illustrations work!

    Have you had only one nodule or there are multiple ones?If s,o did you get treatment for all of them?

      I had one very large nodule treated 2 times. Watch my playlist about my personal experience with RFA.

    Does the nodule shrink because the burning dries it out?

      No. The burning kills it. The body disposes of the dead tissue through the immune system.

    Does this procedure destroys nerves

      If the operator is well trained, they will know what areas to avoid to protect nerves in the neck. While there is a small risk or nerve injury, it is less than in surgery.

    I thought "radio frequency" refers to sound vibration?

    • @ItsmeJenagain
      @ItsmeJenagain  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, it is heat. The particles vibrate very quickly, creating friction, which creates heat. This heat destroys the nodule.
