I just had surgery to remove my thyroid and I can't tell you how important and comforting your videos have been for me. I have watched them several times and the information you provided helped me to prepare for everything that is involved with surgery and recovery! Thank you so, so much!
I just got my thyroid out at 22 after a long battle of thyroiditis and goiters about 5 on each side. I’m 4 days post op and already notice a difference in my lifestyle. Thank you so much for informative videos like these Rachel!
Thank you so much for your videos. They’re helped me so much. I had my thyroid removed 2 weeks ago and I would go back and reference your videos. Thank you again!
Thank you for this new video ❤ It makes me so happy ! I now have hope and plans for the future again ! I will know the final date for the surgery soon and I know it will be a new start in my life ! Being able to sleep on the side without hearing my heart and blood flow … Cannot wait to watch your future videos ! The one about the special diet sounds interesting !
I have undifferentiated thyroid cancer aka anaplastic. My surgery has is 4/12/24, total removal and cancer in lymph nodes… it has spread… I am so thankful for your channel.
I had a total thyroidectomy June 21. Multinodular substernal goiter. Experiencing low calcium Getting blood rechecked in two days Two days ago calcium levels Were normal 9.1 but I still have numbness and tingling especially feet. Will it take some time for symptoms to go away even after calcium levels improve?
Hi there. Great video. You put in a lot of muscle. Did you take anything to bulk up? If so was it recommended as you now take hormone meds. In other words, did it affect your medications?
@@stephmar6693 hello! The only things I did where pay attention to my macronutrients like increasing my protein intake, and also lifting heavy weights. I didn’t take any medications to increase my muscle mass. I hope that helps!

Get to the Clayman Thyroid Center in Tampa ASAP. Google it. They are the only surgeons who have cured anaplastic. So sorry.

Hi, can i ask do you still go to hospital to monitor your fsh, t3 and t4 every month?
Any brand name of Calcium you would recommend? Is calcium with K-2 is also good? Thanks.
@@mariachua3780 I am so sorry I don’t have any specific brands to recommend, but I imagine a generic brand is just as good as any other!
Did you have TED? My husband does and keep getting conflicting answers whether the surgery is going to help it.
I'm sorry I'm not familiar with TED! I have Grave's disease :)

I would never take my thyroid out, unless it was absolutely necessary. Most of the time, it’s not necessary.
