Nothing wrong with Timex. Possibly one of the greatest brands over the years with the best accuracy for the most affordable price. Very underrated. I have a bunch of mechanicals and other brands, but my two Timex are rock solid pieces...
I have the same watch with yellow dial, it has an awesome design , I just love this watch. The thermometer indicates 2 C in plus but I can live with that , no big deal. if you leave it on your hand the indicator will show much higher value. This one has an excelent indiglo , in pitch black it seems like a monitor so I am very pleased with that , and the lume works fine as well, in my case it lasted about an hour only on minute and hour dial.
I know I’m late to the party on this video, but you can calibrate/adjust the hands if they’re off. You can even set your local declination on the compass, etc. The instructions say take it off your wrist for an accurate temp reading.
I have had mine 2 months and love it. Mine came with a brown band, I exchanged it with a bkack velcro band and it looks and feels alot better. The tide function is very accurate. Thanks for the nice job on the video
I have this watch too. It's very cool and practical if you're a hunter, salt water fisherman or hiker/explorer. Like you I normally would not be caught dead in a Timex but as you say this is a "cool" watch and frankly Timex watches have come a long, long way in the last five years.
Great video I have about each model of Timex compass watches, you really have to calibrate the compass and declination of your area, then it is really accurate, as well as the tide, you will need to look up your correct tide for your area.
Wife gave me one of these last Christmas and it is a nice watch. I love the complications, but not being a sailor or outdoorsman, some of the functions are unnecessary but still interesting to have available. As for me, l alternate between the tide and temp function on the watch the most.
I like the Suunto Core All Black, my review is coming soon. Try Ebay - I found a couple on EbayUS for 195, 210. If you like the Timex, you should buy it if you find a good price. The watch is worth the price paid if you love it and keep it. The way you will get burned is if you try to resell it later, because probably no one else will pay 200$ for it.
You ever get the white face ? I’m sure you can understand why… but the Indiglo works really good on that one. Can see the whole face/numbers perfectly.
Ferragamo has a very similar watch. When I told the sales person that Timex has a very similar watch, I was told that Times is the licensee for Ferragamo and makes all their watches..................................just different material, different movement, and different price..........haha
Have you replaced the battery yet? After replacing the battery on mine, the seconds hand stopped moving and the watch no longer shows the time. the temp and tide functions still work.
To be honest, my reviews are for the consumer. I don't really care what Timex would say about the review. I like to be fair and honest so that people can make educated buying decisions. I would say the watch is worth 105.00. It's shortcomings are easily forgiveable for the price.
Zimmy Watches .hi am looking forward to buy this watch... Can u please tell me how is this different from Timex t2n721(available for 100$ usd) ... This one on your video is t2n720. I tried but couldn't find anything... would be helpful..thanks in advance
I bought the T2n720 watch because of the tide feature. I didn’t want another G-shock and this looked pretty cool. I had it about 3 months and always have to reset it. After a day of running well the tide hand always stops at the 2 o’clock position. How do I fix that?
hi, i when i saw this timepiece i loved it, but also found out that they have 2 models, T2N720 and T45581, one is older and one is newer i think, and i would like to know wich is newer? Also saw the T2N723 with the metal bracelet, wich is very nice
Hey, some other video mentioned calibrating the compass in the middle position - this doesn't seem to be the case in mine, the compass seems to be accurate anyway. Mine is T2N721AU.
@thedjcamacho how often do u actually need to read the temperature on a normal day? taking the watch off for a few minutes isn't too much of an act in my opinion. if u r on a hike u can hold the watch by the strap on the go so u r not even losing time.
I Owned 2 ,Brown leather Band,Silver Steel Watch, same features, looks even better. It is a very nice watch, but in everyday use it will only last like 2 years. On 1 the band broke, the other the Time Date adjust knob broke off. Shop was unable to refix the band. Still wanna buy another, that s how much I love this watch. I also own 2 Timex E Yellow band Altimeter ,same wear n tear issues.
@thedjcamacho OBVIOUSLY every thermometer only works good if not in contact with human body or any surface... happens with mercury thermometers and watches as well
I have this watch about for about 6 months now, problem is with its tide & temp indicator. As you probably know that when you push either temp or tide button the indicator goes back to its initial position and after that it indicates tide or temp reading and that its manual says that while adjusting the time THE INDICATOR HAND should be on 12'o Clock .Problem is that approx a month of its calibration the initial starting point of the INDICATOR HAND moves ahead some points. Is it normal or not?
temperature is "more indicated" in water. For water temperature. It should work fine out of water if you use it over a jacket or when you leave in somewhere away from human heat.
i have this watch for about about 6 months it is a great watch but (it is always a but) my indiglo worked for just about 2 weeks then and that was it. I thought that maybe the battery is to wick and i took the cap (lid) of to change the battery , the battery was ok but taking out the cap was very big misstake , i could never put it back even using a vise , i had to take it to jeweler to put it back for almost no money. Indiglo stil don't work and since then temperature shows far from true
@bradilus Because he usually wears Omegas and Breitlings. Owning a TAG Heuer myself I too wouldn't wear a Timex unless I was going to beat it around...
I'd love one like that, but a bit expensive :/ I remember I saw a similar watch but with less features on a Chinese gadget webstore with an integrated spy camera, this would be a very nice feature on the original one! The 'fake' one with camera was at 35 $ I think...
ask you a question this the watch could tell you what body temperature when you check it out and put watch on your wrist then watch tell you what temperature will turn specific the body temperature??
The temp will always be incorrect if you are wearing the watch. It's a limitation of the sensor, not a malfunction in any way. If you held a mercury thermometer to your forehead all day, it would not show you the correct air temp, same for these watches.
Why doesn't anyone put model number in the notes? The old model didn't light up in the center and was hard to tell time. The new model does, so I wanna make sure I get the new one but nobody puts the actual model number. Frustrating.
@fredaddai no ML acha por 400 conto tava de olho nele mas não tô acostumado a olhar só em ponteiros sem números, tô juntando pra comprar um SUUNTO ADVIZOR CORE ALL BLACK mas é o dobro do preço
Indiglo stil don't work and since then temperature shows far from true even when it's not on my hand. Now ,can anyone help me with indiglo light , temperature calibration and even compass calibration cause if i do what they say it will only work for one they then the compass shows bullshit again
All Thermometer watches have this issue, it's unavoidable. Your skin heats up the case of whatever watch you are wearing regardless of material. You have to remove all temp watches from your arm for at least 2-3 minutes to get an accurate reading, the longer the better.
Hi, does anyone know the procedure to restart the watch after a battery change? A jewellery changed the battery and it does not work. The back plate has been placed wrongly the first time so i took to another professional who could not as well start it again. Thanks in advance for anyone who could help.
Some professional ! Take it back and ask to talk with the service centre manager if they dont sort it out find another actual professional and ask to see there credentials before letting them work on your watch
Wow, for 200$, I really don't know. If you are totally in love with the watch, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and you need to decide if that is too steep for this watch. Personally, I could find something better to buy for 200$. You are only 20-30$ away from something like a Suunto Core, etc. This watch is very cool, but thats a lot of money for any Timex. I would wait to find one used somewhere if I were you.
You lost me at "I wouldn't be caught dead wearing a Timex". In the grand scheme of things, Timex makes the best "dollar for dollar" watches in the world, unless you just want to bash a watch for being what it is; a great, lasting value that snobs thumb their noses at.
Nothing wrong with Timex. Possibly one of the greatest brands over the years with the best accuracy for the most affordable price. Very underrated. I have a bunch of mechanicals and other brands, but my two Timex are rock solid pieces...
Just bought one in Manilla at a Timex store! Timex is very underrated and still lives up to it's old "Takes a licking and keeps on ticking!"
I WILL be seen sporting a TIMEX anytime of the day!
I have the same watch with yellow dial, it has an awesome design , I just love this watch. The thermometer indicates 2 C in plus but I can live with that , no big deal.

I got one and it fixed all the issues of the newer model
I have had mine 2 months and love it. Mine came with a brown band, I exchanged it with a bkack velcro band and it looks and feels alot better. The tide function is very accurate. Thanks for the nice job on the video
I normally wouldn't wear a Timex either, but I rarley take it off now, it's my favorite watch. Went swimming with it 15 times, hasn't missed a lick.
My Dad got this watch as a gift from a online store..This Watch is just Awesome
I have this watch too. It's very cool and practical if you're a hunter, salt water fisherman or hiker/explorer. Like you I normally would not be caught dead in a Timex but as you say this is a "cool" watch and frankly Timex watches have come a long, long way in the last five years.

please next time you make a review on watches, try and put it on to see how it look like on the wrist cos it's for that!

You wouldnt be caught wearing a Timex? Whats wrong with Timex??
How would You like a huge Mascular man with the voice of a 2year old...this is as simple as i could say...rest you figure it out...
You said you got this watch for roughly $60 used - where did you buy it??
Good Review 👍👍👍
I have a Timex with WR 100 m and works very nice in water so don't worry if you want to go into the see with it :) cheers
Excellent Job Dude! Kudos! Brilliant commentary. "....seconds needle does not line up, makes me fell like throwing in trash.." lol
That is a kick ass watch.
Have you replaced the battery yet? After replacing the battery on mine, the seconds hand stopped moving and the watch no longer shows the time. the temp and tide functions still work.

I bought one too it's a great wacky watch.

only on waiting list.
@Jocee888 as pointed out if u want to measure the temperature u should take it off and wait a few minutes
hi,
i when i saw this timepiece i loved it, but also found out that they have 2 models, T2N720 and T45581, one is older and one is newer i think, and i would like to know wich is newer?
Also saw the T2N723 with the metal bracelet, wich is very nice
you can get them on ebay for 115 free shipping all day long now; mine just came in and i love it!
How long does battery last?
Hey, some other video mentioned calibrating the compass in the middle position - this doesn't seem to be the case in mine, the compass seems to be accurate anyway. Mine is T2N721AU.
Do you have any link for calibration .....
Make a video on changing the battery
@thedjcamacho how often do u actually need to read the temperature on a normal day? taking the watch off for a few minutes isn't too much of an act in my opinion. if u r on a hike u can hold the watch by the strap on the go so u r not even losing time.

Hey How is the Battery life..?
Battery last for like 2 years.
I have it, and It rocks!

i want this watch so bad. but would it work if u pushed and pulled the buttons under water. and would the compass still work under water?
Do yoy know if the tide function is compatible with argentina tides?? Sorry my english..
My temp and wave functions, the hand does not line up with the initial point as shown in your video?
is the face on this watch unusualy large or is it about normal for this kind of watch?
temperature is "more indicated" in water. For water temperature.
It should work fine out of water if you use it over a jacket or when you leave in somewhere away from human heat.
They made a better one in the 80s with the same features, but with a real compass. (Timex blazer 707) I love this watch
Very good presentation...but you did not show how to calibrate this watch...thx
more functions and useful than them rolex
Not gonna lie ur right lol
Where can you get spare parts? The crown is missing from mine!
i have this watch for about about 6 months it is a great watch but (it is always a but) my indiglo worked for just about 2 weeks then and that was it. @bradilus Because he usually wears Omegas and Breitlings. Owning a TAG Heuer myself I too wouldn't wear a Timex unless I was going to beat it around...
Is it still cool?
what is the default setting on the watch for the tide and temp? it's confusing and I have no idea what it's doing
User manual springs to mind or are you one of those guys who compensates by saying he dosnt need a manual ?
Hey,actually you said the temperature wrong (or correct me) it shows you somewhere 28 celsuius and like you said 84 FAHRENHEIT butmaybe im wrong
I'd love one like that, but a bit expensive :/
I remember I saw a similar watch but with less features on a Chinese gadget webstore with an integrated spy camera, this would be a very nice feature on the original one! The 'fake' one with camera was at 35 $ I think...
Where are the timex watches made? It's not written either on casing, either in manual...?
That highly reliable bulletproof watch is made in the Philippines
I have this watch. It's nice but the buttons stick out too much and when you bend your wrist back it activates the buttons.
how much? i like it
is their a user manual for this watch? i found one in my garage and ive been trying to set it up but cant.
on the timex website
how loud is the tick? Do you have a video where we can hear the tick sound?
with mine I can hear it when it is pressed to my ear, 1 inch/25m.m. away I cannot hear it. (my hearing is good)
How much was it??
ask you a question this the watch could tell you what body temperature when you check it out and put watch on your wrist then watch tell you what temperature will turn specific the body temperature??
I just bought the cream face/brown leather strap version for $86.29(including tax) on Amazon.
This is easily the sexiest watch.
The temp will always be incorrect if you are wearing the watch. It's a limitation of the sensor, not a malfunction in any way.
If you held a mercury thermometer to your forehead all day, it would not show you the correct air temp, same for these watches.
can u plz tell me how to activate the inglow ie which button !
wonderful
any idea about stopwatch and timer???
How to change it’s battery?
I like it

I was wondering how that worked.
that second hand not lining up can be fixed at a watch repair store
I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO ADJUST THE COMPASS, BECAUSE MINE IS NOT WELL.

it's weird to me, being an old man, how timex went from being a household name in the seventies to not even relevant now.
