  • My first official hundred miler with the help of my amazing crew.
Special thanks to Mike for capturing this footage and the best damn race photographer, Takao Suzuki, for the beautiful finish-line photos.

Loved seeing this! Great job getting to the end with time to spare, and getting that hug and belt buckle from Jason. I know that's what propelled me forward when the miles got tough

Holy cow - way to go! I'm running my first 100-miler attempt with the Yeti 100 in VA next month.
Do you mind if I ask what kept you from training for 11 weeks? Was it injury? Were you able to get other exercise in during that time? Incredible you pulled this off!

So I went from being a stay at home mom to working again, was still able to run. But then summer break started and I just couldn't find the time/energy. I didn't work out but I was on my feet all day at work, walking 15k steps or more which I'm sure helped a lot. But honestly I trained so hard for my first attempt at 100 miles last fall, was in the best shape of my life, still hurt like hell after 40 miles. This hurt the same amount or even less, so I think it's just knowing that it will hurt no matter what and continuing on anyway. I also felt physically pain/soreness free less than a week later, so the pain is super short-lived. I think that's mostly due to me walking so much of it. My friend podiumed at her first 100, ran super hard, and was sore for a month.
