    PERFECT! Finally an informative, and to the point video without all the ghetto effects and horrible music. THANK YOU sir!

    That tools list was VERY VERY helpful! Thank you for this How To, my son and I will build memories from our Hot Wheels upgrades! We already “collect “ them together, this will be a great addition to our hobby.

      I'm glad the tool list helped. There may be other bit sizes that might work also. This is just what I used. Have fun.

    Very interesting and very helpful. I would just add one thing. If you’re going to be doing this quite a bit, it might be worth investing in a small light duty drill press. Something from Amazon or HF would work. It would give you a bit more control

    Hot wheels should make their cars with screws not rivets.

      i get mine at ababa/QA. i use #0 metal screws with pan heads or countersunk heads depending on which ends up being more hidden, but thats for the RC micros.

    Would the drill bit also open up a hot wheels with metal base?

    • @StickShiftHotWheels
      @StickShiftHotWheels  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Rodrigo. I would think so, the rivets look the same. I haven't drilled a metal based car yet. Might just dull the bit more.

    • @tommurphy4307

      you'll have to use something a bit bigger to cut off the rivet lip. i use a 7/64" for the micros

    Can you use a drill to add threads in the post's holes for the screws?

    • @braydenewing5269
      @braydenewing5269 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, I don't think so. You're going to have to buy a tap. I got mine from Harbor Frights.

    I wish they would use small screws instead of self tappins would make wheels swapping a lot easier and a lot faster just my idea..

    • @tommurphy4307
      @tommurphy4307 ปีที่แล้ว

      they do that via the cheapest way possible and rivet posts are what they use

    Where should I buy wheels

    • @StickShiftHotWheels
      @StickShiftHotWheels  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I bought a donor car for the wheels. Any easy 99¢. But many vendors sell custom aluminum wheels. Many people swap the Real Rider wheels from the car culture cars that are $5.
