Super concise and efficient demonstration! I need to remember to use the flathead to remove the last of the rivet buttonhead instead of relying on the drill bit, much cleaner release.
Quick tip for depth gauging the second drill bit (or any drill bit for that matter) - Figure the depth you want it to go, and then wrap a small piece of masking tape around the bit at that measurement. Helps when eyeballing the depth as you drill into anything.
I learned there's always a risk and reward of drilling out rivets. Sometimes it's like the bits are either too big or not enough sometimes. Worse is drilling into your hand.
So cool to see how easy it is to open them up I will be getting some wheels and paint to custom a few of my hot wheels thanks mate this has help me out I can't find a super treasure hunt so what to make some similar where's the best place to get wheels 😊
The amount of nice expensive cars like r34’s, rlc’s and OG boulevard’s I’ve thrown away because I trashed it one way or another makes me sick luckily I’ve gotten 100% better than back then and rarely mess up now. Practice practice especially on premiums! Also One 32nd size bigger bit would work wonders getting that ring off easier or drilling your pilot hole a little bigger

yes I love the flat head screwdriver for doing that otherwise sometimes I drill too deep and it becomes a pain to work with. Glad you liked the video!

yeah it definitely takes some practice to know when to stop drilling, ive drilled through my fair share of cars when I was starting lol
@@hhwcustoms Yeah. Not fun getting hurt, or drilling vehicle's wrong to ruin them.
You can do better.
Really helpful thanks bro! I just did my first wheel swap today. I took some blue wheels and put them on a mad mike drift attack.

@@hhwcustoms cheers mate will be buying some wheels soon just need to order some tools first
Do you use screws to reassemble afterward? Or not take apart vehicle's for swaps?
Thanks for posting this video….very helpful
Glad it helped you in some way :)

So instead of a 1/16 bit should I use a 1/32 for the pilot hole
he said nice and slow, but proceed full throttle lol.
A good bit head should fit right in the post groove.
A good and simple video
Thanks so much man, didn't fuck it up this time 😂
Where can I find a small tap and die set to thread back into the post for screws?
I have some available on my website check the tools tab :) hhwcustoms.com
But how do you fix it back together?
Tap and screws. From my research, 2-56 tap and 2-56x3/16 screw
That’s great… How bout ppl using MM for their drill bits…
U need the easy jig!!! From Eddie @simple kustoms!!! Lol
Hi Sir, if im using 1.5 or 2.0mm drill bit? Also can?
Great video man 🎉🎉 new sub 👍

Good job.
Nice🍀
How do you assemble it back? Tap it and use screws?
Yes I tap it and use screws Ill probably make another video on how I did it soon
@@hhwcustoms just wondering size of the screws
@@uxtbI 2-56 Thread and 3/16 is what I usually use
