DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES - Welcome to Dubai, UAE, and today we’re going on an ultimate 48 hour food tour of Dubai. We’ll be eating traditional Emirati food, Iranian, Pakistani, Indian, and local street food fast food. It’s going to be an amazing two days of eating our way through Dubai and I can’t wait to share it all with you now!
Here are all the places we ate:
Al Jawareh Traditional Restaurant (goo.gl/maps/yar176XFEuGBnrQJA) - This restaurant specializes in traditional Emirati food, a little outside of the center of the city. I especially love the omelet with tomato and chabab bread that you can eat with cheese and date syrup.
Al Fareej Restaurant (goo.gl/maps/Ane6nRYdmBKuyK397) - Next up, Iraian food and a massive kebab tray that included a big variety. Of course kebab koobideh is the king of all kebabs and it was delicious.
Mumbai Express Restaurant and Cafe (goo.gl/maps/BEtXCkNNxkfvb1WR9) - Next up we ate at Mumbai Express, an Indian restaurant serving mainly Mumbai snacks, chaats, and light meals. Their pav bhaji was fantastic.
Ravi Restaurant (goo.gl/maps/AzFd8vizLBTY399j8) - One of the meals of this entire Dubai food tour was at Ravi Restaurant that’s probably the most well known Pakistani food in all of Dubai. Their food is outstanding, including the variety of grilled meats and especially their mutton Peshawari.
Al Ijaza Cafeteria (goo.gl/maps/bQfjHy42qgkGA9Pa6) - Next up, Al Ijaza Cafeteria which is one of the most family street food / fast food spots in Dubai. They have a humorous and creative menu highlights sandwiches and grilled meats with a huge selection of milkshakes and fruit shakes.
Sonara Camp (goo.gl/maps/mLdfany8byVUrzdc6) - Finally to complete this ultimate Dubai food tour, we headed out to the desert to the luxurious Sonara Camp. There was entertainment and food and a great family and special meal experience.

You would think having a production team would be better, but it misses that magic touch that only Mark can do. But we are really happy for all the success Mark has achieved and it is so deserved! We get the same level of enjoyment that we do watching Anthony Bourdain’s shows. They share a similar vibe of authenticity and kindness.

Thank you! This was a great and all...But IMO it came across more as sneaky commercial for UAE tourism and not an actual Mark Wiens video.
It didn't feel natural at all and everything came across scripted and over produced.
Which wouldn't surprise me at all...They are probably don't trust Mark to show their country in the most perfect light and exactly how they want it to look.

Somehow a sponsored, professionally produced video just gives itself away and can never bring the magic that some of Mark’s old, unplanned videos had.

I think the Dubai tourism guys made a mistake by giving a full production team to Mark. He is best as a one man or 2 and half person show. This looks so much polished where it takes away the organic flow of his videos.
Having said that seeing Mark eating anywhere in the world is always great.

South Asians, South-East Asians etc. people that Mark supposedly cares about. To see Mark just relinquish creative control to Dubai is extremely disheartening. I wonder if he'd take the sponsorship money if he saw firsthand how Emiratis treat their Filipino and Indonesian domestic workers.

Totally agree, this isn't his style. Way off with the vibe. His videos where he is filming alone with Jing and Micah are his bread and butter and what got him 8m+ subscribers .
I like when he has his own camera. It's more personal. Right now he is not looking at the right cameras so we can tell others are around. Less personal 😌

I’m glad to see he’s being sponsored…it’s always great for creator. But I wish they showed his wife and kid too..this feels like very “business” like. The best part of Mark is his authenticity and simplicity…but I’m sure it’s going to be a mixture. Happy for your growth ❤️
Ying and Micah were most likely there but because it was a more professional blog (Mark said something like this at the beginning) they didn't have them featured in this video.
I believe because of the culture their, men do not eat with the woman, if you notice in the restaurants there are only men eating together.

You know the best thing about Mark is his excited infectious whole face smile. His eyes sparkle and he has a gift of making visiting a new culture a wonderful adventure for both the viewer and himself. He will get his own prime time show on television soon once the networks see how fantastic he connects with the audience….oh and that smile! And he actually understands what he’s talking about. Understanding the subject is just as important. I bet he get’s his own show within a year. We, his fans need to use social media and ask the world to watch a few of his videos and spread the word.
Mr Mark is such a genuine person and he’s so respectful to other culture and most important of all he has the ability to make even a dry bread sound so yummy! Not to mention, he’s such a good family man, he takes his family along in the food journey, which I love the most. Keep eating 🍽 Mr Mark, we will forever be your fan.

Mark is one of a kind vlogger. I feel like travelling with him and enjoying all the food.
That breakfast spread was incredible and so unique! Noodles, cheese sauce, fish sauce, pancakes all in one meal 😋. Wish we had access to such an experience in America.
Even though alot of effort and evolution has gone into this video, I really loved the older format which seemed more raw and engaging. This seems like a tv episode rather than a vlog, my 2 cents and each to their own. Hope you go back to the older format
This video was great, but I miss the more welcoming and comfortable style of your own videos with your family... It was so noticeable that Ying and Micah weren't there. It's so much better hearing Micah running around in the background. Hope you go back to that!
as much as I love watching his travels to try all these amazing foods, I'm most jealous of his metabolism
seems like he is able to simultaneously digest and burn off all the calories that he consumes as he eats. I'd be lucky to fit in a single airplane seat after one of these adventures

Just an honest feedback: It would have been great if Mark shot this himself in his usual style, the video seem to have lost that authenticity and *style* of mark. Nevertheless great video and I am happy to see the success of my favorite food vlogger.
He is working under a manager now. He basically just says what he is told. That's why it has lost its authenticity.

I love living thru Mark's travel...sometimes I can actually taste the food from his vivid descriptions.

I prefer Marks own productions personally. This one felt off. This 3-4 man camera crew didn’t quite capture the essence of Mark enjoying the food the way he does on his own. Actually ruined the whole video for me, but I can understand trying it out. The B-roll was fine, but I hope it goes back to Mark doing it, particularly when it comes to trying the food out. Can’t replace greatness.

Hi Mark! Hope you're having a amazing day! Everytime we watch your mouth watering vlogs my wife would mention she wish you would wear something different in some of your vlogs like a golf shirt, or a white colored Mark Wiens t-shirt with red pepper or short sleeve shirt when in high end restaurants or 5 star hotel restaurants. I told her because Mark is such a simple guy that's why but, he eats basically where he wants to eat.
Always fun trying new projects. This one was especially glitzy! Love the pride the Emirates put into their work. Best part was when Mark was in the volcanic kitchen, that type of thing is his jam. Lovely to get this wonderful taste of Dubai!

Mark I am a big fan of your work, and I have loved every video you have uploaded ever since I found your channel. But I have to say this video just isn't it. I understand that this must be a great sourceof income, but the essence of what makes your videos great is just missing. The authentic interactions with the locals, the feel through sound and video of the different places in their normal element (not restaurents that are serving you probably before their openning hours), and your interactions with the venders and the people that are with you on your journeys (whether your family, friends, or the local area guides) is just missing here.
That being said I wish you and your family nothing but health happiness and more success.

That's what's so amazing with Dubai (UAE) it's a melting pot. So many people from different countries, living there and that's why you see the diversity here with the different foods he eats in the video. Indian, Pakistan, and so many other countries as well. It's a beautiful thing! ❤️

Food is not just food, its an experience and its important to exercise because the more you exercise the more you can eat! Healthy people always eat more and feel more satisfied with their meal. It seems mark wiens does it right, he keeps himself healthy so he can enjoy the food, he eats even more and enjoys the sights he sees.

Mark, I love your channel. But as I'm watching this episode, I am not crazy about this "profession" look done by the film crew. I'd much rather prefer the look of your videos when you and Ying film them. The multiple camera shots, the music you use and the way you edit them is what sets you apart from every other TH-camr. And, that is why I love watching your videos. That being said, I still enjoyed this video. But, next time they offer you a film crew, please decline them and film it yourself.
