- Let me guide you on a twenty-minute stroll inside the world's most visited cemetery, Père Lachaise Cemetery in Paris, France.
More than 3.5 million people visit this place every year, yet I don't think the more than 1 million people buried here mind.
Tombs, graves, monuments here are among the most artistic and varied that you'll find in any cemetery in the world.
This video contains a curated handful of "celebrity" tombs, and a selection of memorial monuments.
The map, if you want to follow the same route is here: www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edi...
All 6 music pieces are from Erik Satie, and all are copyright free:

Ive watched dozens of Pere Lachaise videos and this is by far the best - of course adding Eric Satie's music was a beautiful addition.
Thanks a lot 🙏
Beautifully shot and narrated film, and the music was a perfect accompaniment on the tour. Pere Lachaise is something I've never done in my years of visiting Paris so this was all new for me, thank you. Even my wife liked the video and cemeteries are not her thing...
Definitely a place for you to visit, Matthew!
What a wonderfully narrated tour. I visited Pere Lachaise in September of 2016. I hope to return soon to see more of this mesmerizing place.
Thank you!🙏
Outstanding video! We went for a long walk in the cemetery last year. We did not look for any graves in particular - we just wandered around appreciating the park like environment. I wish I had seen this video first - you shared so many interesting stories! I also loved the music! Many thanks!
Thanks for the nice comment 🙏
Thank you for making a marvelous video and the narrative. I loved every bit of it. Shall pay a visit when in Paris next time.
Great if it can be a good suggestion for you
Fantastic video. Next time I visit this place is going to be on my list of must-see places.

Merci à vous
This is definitely going on my list to do when I revisit Paris. I really appreciate you highlighting this, because there is a lot of information here that I didn't know about. Thanks again for this.
Glad if I can help!

I visited Pere Lachaise on a beautiful and sunny autumn day😊
Did you like it ?
It was beautiful@@paristoptips
Lovely video! I am about to publish my own Pére Lachaise tour next month, and I will give you a shout-out.
Great! That will be interesting to see...
great video, love the background music intro by erik satie's gymnopedies & gnossiennes, very sombre & so fitting. it's funny how you say jim morrison's grave is the most visited, and he's not even french person. oscar wilde's grave is the second most visited grave at pere lachaise, and he's not even french person either, just sayin.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Yes, people love rock stars, and Oscar Wilde was kind of a rock star of his time 😂
@@paristoptips oui merci beaucoup! oscar wilde was i think the worlds first celebrity!!

"Oscar Wilde the world`s first celebrity"? Well, no...
There were many before him, even thousands of years before.
