Thanks! Once in awhile I could get it to stay on “My View”, but as soon as I hooked up the trailer’s electrical connection, back to towing permanently…. One of Ford’s Better Idea’s (you’re probably to young to have seen those commercials)!
Helpful video. Can you do a video on the reverse of that, which would be once you are on the Speedometer mode and you hook your trailer up how you get the truck to recognize the same trailer again. I am getting a trailer disconnected message.
If the truck is turned off when you disconnect the trailer lights then this problem will occur. Have the truck running or accessory power on and this shouldn’t be an issue. Or just follow the instructions from this video, either option should work.

Thank you. I called Ford, I went to the dealer, I spoke to the manager, nobody knows. You saved me from pulling the fuse and resetting the whole car. I have another issue with the warning coming on the entertainment display every time I shut the car off. It says "check for rear passengers"and it sounds the alert chime. I'm the only one in the car!!! Do you know how to disable it. This dumb alarm camouflages any real issues like leaving the lights on or some other problems.
That has been driving me nuts. I’m trying that this morning. I hope that works. My does that but when I do I hook up trailer it doesn’t recognize. So no recognize trailer and still goes to that screen …. Have to check that setting menu more. Maybe delete if its in there and start over. Ha. Thanks
I had the same problem and also when i WAS connected to a trailer it wouldn't detect it all the time, and wouldn't give me trailer brakes... I took it to Ford and there is a TSB out for this so they will fix it, goes back for the repair in a few days
