We are trying to get rid of everything masculine this days. Men grow your beard and don’t listen to anybody. I was also shocked to find out that some jobs will not accept you with a beard 😂
Shaving your face is the equivalent of make-up for men. Not sure how we decided that growing a beard which is natural, is the same as an artificial change like make-up, when shaving is the artificial change.
Depends on the face or the beard. I had a beard for 3 years in a row and women didn't give me a second glance. When I started clean shaving I got way more attention from women. Then again almost every guy in my city has a beard so I probably stand out from the norm now.
Faces without beards or moustaches tend to look more youthful. And also, more approachable and less threatening. I think of all those fully bearded men in Arabic and Middle Eastern countries and they look both much older and more scary.
I prefer smooth skin. Men's beards contain so much more bacteria and a shaved face doesn’t give me a rash in any sensitive areas like bearded faces do.

@@reality_check_575 Ir must be a hot and sweaty country, because I doubt you'd be showering that often in the depths of winter in N.Y.C. or Russia or many northern countries. It would already be dry and prone to cracking so you want to be adding moisture and oil not stripping it away. Cracked skin can allow bacteria in and cause infections.
Louis (not sure if it was Louis the 15th or 16th or whatever), the "Sun King" of France back in the 18th century, bathed only a handful of times in his lifetime. He lived into his 70s I believe, which was a good lifespan for those times. He believed that water carried some kind of unhealthy thing and that bathing often would cause that to somehow seep in through the skin and cause ill health and disease.
it all comes down to what kind of facial hair. big beards make most men less attractive, even though men think it makes them looks better and more masculine. (textbook case of male vs female gaze) 5 o clock shadows and light stubble on the other hand can enhance facial attractiveness in men who already have a nice jawline and are at least average looking.
About making it similar to make-up, why are people making that comparison? It is because beards can make someone look better like make-up, right? But having a shower can also make someone look better, but we are clearly differentiating between the two. Actually, having a shower or brushing the teeth are closer to make-up than beards are to make-up because it is easy to maintain a beard and have it on for years, but people take make-up off every day, and people need to shower frequently too.
@@stefanisilva2493 But that commonality is pretty weak, meaning a lot of things have those commonalities. Brushing your teeth has more commonality with makeup than beards have with makeup because you brush teeth frequently (everyday), and women who use makeup when they go out, they put it and take it off when they get home typically, but beards can still be the same throughout years, and without needing to be taken off or anything Clearly, something that is kept on the face for only some hours is very different from something that can easily be kept for years or a lifetime.

Beard don’t work for everybody , but it definitely works for the majority of people . Now when it comes to how big the beard is that’s a different question. But most guys would benefit from having some variation of a beard .
So why men get upset over make up ? Men hide their actual face with make up
@@fatemad4012 1: most guys at least from my experience that gets mad about the amount of makeup , not the fact that their is any. If there is so much makeup to the point where they are a totally different person than it is usually seen as bad. What’s a bad jawline ?
@@RobertOSullivan_1365 a jaw bone(mandible) that has too much downward growth creating “ a long face/horse face”. NO. Beard is used by a MAN.
i understand that people dislike the fact that they photoshopped the pictures. However you gotta see the big picture and what they're trying to tell. I for example look quite good clean shaven and often get compliments of my looks, but with beard i look like a homeless drug dealer. Beard clearly doesn't suit me, but clean shaven makes me look quite attractive. That's their message, that beard doesn't necessarily have to give the effect of "makeup" for men, for some it's the contrary
Same for me bro I have a square jaw and last winter i kept a beard and this summer I shaved it off and suddenly I get called names such as chick magnet
The beards that don't look good can be compared to badly applied, garish makeup that doesn't enhance your looks.
I'm thinking of Tammy Faye Bakker and the huge gobs of mascara on her eyelashes and the shimmery blue or green eyeshadows she used to cover her eyelids with.
I want to know how many people think that the beards of Hasidic Jewish men renders them more attractive. Or how about all those bearded men in the Middle East and Arabic countries?
@@SY-ok2dqbearded men in middle eastern countries are quite attractive because their beards are the fullest. White men's beards are relatively more patchy.

Nah. beards all the way. I find men with beards more attractive 10/10. I guarantee you that facial hair completes a man, whether it be a stubble, mustache, goatee or beard of any length. I’m glad the majority now want to keep their facial hair. Stop trying to affect opinion and sow doubt with this nonsense. It damages minds.
I've always thought.....who cares ?
But for those who have a strong jawline, would a stubble help?
You can have any type of beard with a strong jawline. The key is to trim it and maintain it to look clean and good. If you don't take care of your beard with or without a strong jawline you will look bad.
From my personal experience stubble shows your cheekbones and highlights the ogee curve which which is defined mostly in lgood lightings stubble makes it defined all most of the time
Thats not true. 👎 un sup.
if you actually have hollow cheeks then it doesnt matter
Having a beard is and should be a part of a man if he can grow one that is, a male lion has its hairs to show its dominance to the females around him if the hairs were removed you would assume its a femqle lioness😂
Nah men with beard are WAAAAY superior.

I actually liked the beard one in the start
We are trying to get rid of everything masculine this days. Men grow your beard and don’t listen to anybody. I was also shocked to find out that some jobs will not accept you with a beard 😂
Despite the photoshop the pic with the beard still looks better IMO
First man actually looks hot in beard !
I love beard so much
Beauty is very subjective. Please don’t impose your views on others. I thought first with beard was attractive.
Shaving your face is the equivalent of make-up for men. Not sure how we decided that growing a beard which is natural, is the same as an artificial change like make-up, when shaving is the artificial change.
That was a rare case where I preferred with a beard
Depends on the face or the beard. I had a beard for 3 years in a row and women didn't give me a second glance. When I started clean shaving I got way more attention from women. Then again almost every guy in my city has a beard so I probably stand out from the norm now.
Faces without beards or moustaches tend to look more youthful. And also, more approachable and less threatening. I think of all those fully bearded men in Arabic and Middle Eastern countries and they look both much older and more scary.
Nah dude looked better with the beard in the first pic
Beard is reality, make-up is synthetic artifice. Beard is the truth, makeup is a lie. No comparison.
Beard makes man attractive.
I prefer smooth skin. Men's beards contain so much more bacteria and a shaved face doesn’t give me a rash in any sensitive areas like bearded faces do.
yep - i always tell them "would YOU like to kiss someone with a beard?" then i wouldn't either
Clever way of saying your countrymen are not hygienic, 2-3 times shower a day is the norm on where I live.
Clean short beard is not hard or expensive to maintain and it looks nice
@@reality_check_575 Ir must be a hot and sweaty country, because I doubt you'd be showering that often in the depths of winter in N.Y.C. or Russia or many northern countries. Nor is that a good idea as cold winters can are very drying on the skin and you don't want to be overwashing skin in dry or very cold weather, as you'll be stripping off sebum and oil which protect your skin.
@@kenbrb6261 Well yeah, I wouldn't want to kiss a man with a beard because I ain't gay. 💀
This is true. Henry Cavill received a -50% when he has a beard.
His best look is with a stubble
it all comes down to what kind of facial hair. big beards make most men less attractive, even though men think it makes them looks better and more masculine. (textbook case of male vs female gaze)
5 o clock shadows and light stubble on the other hand can enhance facial attractiveness in men who already have a nice jawline and are at least average looking.
What if you're bald? I'm not trying to walk around looking like a Nazi.
Both increase atractiveness a lot despite what people say and both work despite we knowing it's a scam 😅. That's what they have in common.
@@stefanisilva2493
But that commonality is pretty weak, meaning a lot of things have those commonalities.
Brushing your teeth has more commonality with makeup than beards have with makeup because you brush teeth frequently (everyday), and women who use makeup when they go out, they put it and take it off when they get home typically, but beards can still be the same throughout years, and without needing to be taken off or anything
Clearly, something that is kept on the face for only some hours is very different from something that can easily be kept for years or a lifetime.
@@MA-gu2upthat’s not a good comparison. Brushing your teeth doesn’t have close to the same amount of effect as make up.
