Welcome to my world! Shall I, shan’t I, If I do this then that, will I regret it? My advice is the keep good old Alfie until you get an offer you can’t refuse. I wish I were in a position to buy him, but the rest of the fleet is currently bleeding me dry.
Alfie deserves to be garaged.
I would also worry about the catalyst being stolen.
Glad you are the saver of Rovers.
Personally I think you should keep Alfie. Look after him he will treat you in year's to come. If you sell him you will regret it for the rest of your life. I have done it with many car's. 👍Nice lunch time video

Alfie is definitely more than just a car. The best of the 45s. The alloys go really well with its colour. It looks like Oxford Blue.
Perhaps put Alfie up for sale, but for what would be considered a strong asking price. This'll deter anyone other than a dedicated enthusiast. It'll also likely take a while to sell, so you can still enjoy driving it in the mean time :)

The problem with Alfie is that most of your subscribers and commenters, myself included, already have too many cars and too little spare money/space. Hope you do get to keep/store him - it's a great looking car in that blue! Oh I saw Project Christine yesterday in Ashton. Another car that takes the eye!
Alfie is a keeper, so is the 420 Tourer as well.
I guess its how you feel about someone driving away in Alfie and not having him around. Is there a price on that? Probably . The cars I didn't like I moved on quickly, the ones I did only left as they were broken. Put a find another sale price on it and shove it your mates lock up I say

Personally I’d keep them all. I’ve had three rovers and I’d love to own another one now. The best rover I’ve owned was a 418 SLTD R8 in white a saloon on a J 1992 . I would sell my sol to own that car again ,but sadly she’s gone. So we need to keep all and every rover going for ever
And then I sold it 😂, again 😂, I know where there is another tourer for sale ! Binca Milton Keynes, 416 sli, clutch slipping, looks tidy.
A clutch isn't that expensive on a K-series
You should take the offer of the dry storage, and keep Alfie out of sight so it will not come to mind to sell. You have plenty of others you can send off to people who are willing to part with the right amount of money.
Did you see that some berk with more money than sense bought a Sierra for £600,000? As a result the value of Sierras will undoubtedly increase, even drab blue 1.6L Sapphires. Not to the same level of course, but the ceiling on Sierras has been raised stupidly high and it inevitably drags up the value of all of them. So if you list Alfie for sale at an absurd price, not unrealistic but also distinctly Not Cheap two things could happen. You get to keep it and enjoy it which is the main thing but turn there’s an advert out there for a 400 at this extraordinarily optimistic price which might elevate the values of the other 200s, 400s, 25s and 45s. It might not of course, car values are weird. In 1986 you could have bought a Sierra Cosworth or an S Class Merc for similar money, one of them would see you living a life of extravagant luxury, the other see you with barely enough to buy a 10 year old Fiesta. I like the brightness of the fish tank and i look forward to it featuring at the end of a video again. If I can enjoy yours with you then I won’t be tempted to get my own 👍

You can say "It's only a ..." about any car. It's irrelevant, what matters is whether the owner is interested in it.

@@kurtseyffert6649 That's right. Most Fords are worth ridiculous prices now. One that isn't though, is Ford Scorpios.
My Dad owned 3 Ford Scorpios until a couple of years ago (he now has 2), as he expected the values to rise, but they just haven't so far, despite being incredibly rare now.
People still complain about the styling, and then go and buy the ugly financed heaps that are on sale today.

The host city of the Olympic Games holds a large handing-over ceremony to pass the Olympic flag to the next city. I should think that was dwarfed by the parcel-shelf hat ceremony! I had suspected that Alfie wouldn't be parted from it and that Tourers might have their own style of accessory hat, but unfortunately Rover missed out on what would have been a very popular item on the options list! 😃
