    Can you look underneath at the inner n outer rocker to inspect for rust ????

      @TwoGuysandaRide  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can see the inner rocker panel but the outer rocker panel is covered with plastic trim. Thanks for watching

    Having owned this truck for about 2 more months since the review was done, I have to say I absolutely love it! People ask me if it’s new which is fun for me. I've had the chance to put the backup camera to work as well, hauling two boats this summer. I was able to backup and place the hitch right under the trailer tongue! Fantastic truck if your looking for something used I would sure recommend one.

    Do you still own this explorer? I'm looking at a 2011 four-wheel drive with 104 thousand miles on it? Everyone's giving explore such bad reviews I'm a little nervous

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I just traded it in for a 2015 explorer. But I had over 200,000 on it. Basic issues were infotainment screen went out, had to replace the computer module for the screen. The coil packs for the plugs tend to need replacing although they drive fine without the coils working as long as you don’t floor it. Other than that, it worked fine. Anything with 100,000 plus is going to have some basic needs, tires brakes, etc and each vehicle is unique. Mine was a local trade in, one owner, I had all the service records etc. So if all those things check out, I would not hesitate to buy it, and figure I’ll get another 100,000 miles out of it with some expense along the way. Hope that helps (either way) and thanks for watching!

    Have you had any experience with the AWD in snow conditions? I have a 2014 Sport with AWD but have not seen snow.

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks for the question. Yes I have had quite a bit of experience in the snow and ice with my truck. It handles just as good as my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee did. I have also used it to haul 4000lb boats over rocky terrain ( like small boulder size) on landings to lakes, and it’s never let me down, worked great. On a side note, I also have hill descent control which works great, but the cool thing is that it works in reverse as well as forward! Thanks for watching!

    Seats are uncomfortable on anything more than an hour ride! Wife has a 13 Limited 4X4 with the heated and cooled seats. The PTU will fail prematurely if not serviced regularly, Ford has it filled for life with a 1/2qt of gear oil. Change coolant earlier than recommended if you don't want an expensive water pump/timing chain repair.

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Thanks for sharing. Maybe I have different seats as this is an XLT but I like my seats and find them to be very comfortable on long several hour rides. Thanks for the suggestions for preventative maintenance much appreciated. Thanks for watching!

    i had my mind set on buying one of these but when i found that that it has that issue where the water pump can leak into the engine, AND THEN COST NEARLY 2,000 to fix it?!, NO THANKS!, and then it was recalled for that carbon monoxide poisoning where the exhaust can leak into the cabin i lost interest

    • @TwoGuysandaRide
      @TwoGuysandaRide  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks for sharing. I still own this and the carbon monoxide issue was fixed at no cost to me, and I’ve never had the issue with the water pump. So I’m still enjoying it. Thanks for watching.

      @kay6257 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've had a 2011 explorer for almost 5 years now, the carbon monoxide issue was fixed for free at the dealership, apart from that I've had no major issue apart from changing the rotors and hub, I still think it's a good car.

    • @DepletedMan
