I bought a 2015 with a 3.7L engine and AWD, fully loaded back in Aug. Just came back from a 2000 mile road trip and it drove like a dream. Favorite car so far!!!!
Thanks for the review. I picked up a granny used 2011 with 90,000 for $5500. I love this car. It is stylish and the white pearl looks nice. I'm 62 and plan to keep it till my retirement at 65.
Great value, got a 2010 for 7500 out the door from dealer but with 118,000 miles. Ecoboost, adaptive cruise, parallel park assist, 20” wheels, silver exterior/black interior. Love it
I just turned 20 and found a good deal on a 2015 Lincoln MKS 3.5 liter eco boost and I love it so much one of my favorite cars I’ve ever been in and I’ve been in a lot of nice cars. It’s fully loaded just like this one massaging seats and all the fun gadgets you’d want. Also if you do get the 3.5 torbo charged MKS the car does launch with the 365hp. Love it so much highly recommend thank you for this video on helping me with my decision!
Congratulations I’m sure you’ll love it as much as Nathan and his family love theirs. Lots of happy miles ahead for you! Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching
I just got a 2011 MKS EcoBoost in immaculate condition. Garage kept , 85,000 for $10,000. I love this car and am researching all the bells as whistles .
Awesome video guys!! And VERY informative. I LOVE my 2013 MKS EcoBoost. Most definitely the nicest car I have ever owned. Glad that I ran across your video. I enjoyed watching it. 👍🏻
I like your video and how in-depth it was. I have a '14 Ecoboost. I do not notice any road noise, but I have 20-inch wheels with the high-end Michelin MXV4, which are OEM. I also have the wheels aligned about twice a year. My model year has the so-called "lifetime" PTU fluid. It took some calling around, but I found a Ford dealership in the Kansas City area, where I live, that used a vacuum system to change the fluid. The PTU is an issue with this vehicle up to MY15. The leather seats are premium Bridge of Weir leather. I maintain mine with the Colourlock system.
@@TwoGuysandaRide I hope u still have the car cause it is very nice. I have the Ford Taurus I love it & I agree with the other viewer I would have the seat fixed & the rear window shade fixed.
Thanks for the question. You can’t with a factory upgrade, but you could possibly with a aftermarket stereo, but I would be cautious about doing this as many of the vehicles other functions are in the infotainment system as well such as you’re heated seats and heated steering wheel. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Just got a 2014 MKS AWD with 37k miles. Had I known about the hassle with the PTU I'd have never bought it so my bad. I like the car but I hate the way it crashes when hitting rough pavement. Not becoming for Lincoln. Actually learned a couple things from your demonstration so thanks!
Thanks for the question. I’m assuming here that you’ll be driving along listening to something and all of a sudden the volume goes down all on its own, is that correct? I’m also assuming that you e tried to raise the volume via both the center touch buttons and the steering wheel? If this is correct you probably need to replace the touch panel in the center that houses all the touch buttons like your climate and volume controls. Mine did something similar except it would randomly turn the heat all the way up while no one was touching the controls. Those touch buttons tend to do that after a while. I replaced mine and it fixed the problem right away. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
I'm in MN. I have a 2013 MKS Ecoboost, been a pain with maintenance but I have extended warranty so all is good. I do really like the car. I'd suggest upgrading to Sync 3.
Thanks for the question. The voice command button is on the steering wheel (right side). Has a picture of a mouth with sound coming out of it. Thanks for watching!
Yeah the whole design of the front changed between those years including the grill. Great cars altogether I couldn’t agree more..Luxury and power combined! Enjoy your ride. Thanks for watching!
Unfortunately with all the items such as heated seats and steering wheel that are tied into the infotainment system, it is not a great idea to try and replace the system. You should check out aftermarket apple CarPlay units that mount to your dashboard like a phone, connect to your cars speaker via a 1/8 audio jack and has a 7-10” screen. Thanks for watching!
I have a 2014 I got it like 4 months ago. It have the 3.5L ecoboost I got it at 46k mileage on it and I only payed 15k for it it's a very nice car and fast for how hevy this car is
I just lost my 2010 MKZ at 316,734 Kms to its self destructing V6, mine was 3,5, yours is 3.7 but they share the same fatal flaw. The water pump is inside the engine and driven by the timing chain. Water pump is therefore long lasting, but engine has an expected life of 300, 000 kms. Up to 200,00kms should be trouble free, pass that you are on borrowed time :-( Replacing the water pump is really expensive (US 1K and up, its about a full day job) Water pump will leak, contaminating the oil (it's inside engine) or eventually seized (like mine) timing chain will skip over sprocket and screw timing seizing engine. I loved that car, but if you are buying used keep an eye on the millage ...Whish I knew about the time bomb ticking under the hood. The engines in questions are the Durateck V6 engine, which are used in various Fords.
I'm sorry this happened to your car! To be honest, I used to worry about the water pump going out on mine, and ruining the entire engine. But I've been told that it is critical to keep the coolant changed with the exact Motorcraft coolant required for the vehicle. They supposedly then last 2 to 300k miles. I change my coolant every 2 years. I was also told if the water pump is designed to leak a little under the car to give Advance warning and to also keep an eye on your oil dip stick and your coolant recovery tank to see if there's any water in the oil or any oil in the coolant early on so the pump can be replaced for the entire engine is ruined. So yeah, if that happens you have the thousand-dollar repair vs. Total engine replacement.
The car has been great and very reliable. Only two things have gone wrong with it. I had to replace the backup camera and the rear window shade does not work, other than that everything has worked as expected! Thanks for the kind words and thanks for watching
@@TwoGuysandaRide I did my research this one has the twin turbos . Thanks guys for your input your awesome! Less than 53,000 miles. I'm gonna have some fun with this. Picking up tomorrow.
