I reveal my 20-year struggle a solution that finally worked: a combo of micro needling and topical minoxidil. After trying everything from finasteride to traditional Chinese medicine, I finally found something that worked. I'm not promoting products, just sharing my honest experience. Your mileage might vary.

Thanx for sharing your story. I have similar story, but it started when i was about 15. Through the long time i started topical mix of fin and minoxidil + dermastamp. After only 1 month i saw a little white hairs on the balding places. Some of them are browning already. Hope the progress will go on.

It’s great that you are using three of them together. For me the real game changer is combing topical minoxidil and derma-rolling. I read a study claimed that it’ll multiple fold more effective than topical minoxidil alone. I wish you super successful with your regimen!

    Minoxidil is lifetime use?

How often are you doing the combo of derma roller plus minoxidil?

I do it everyday or every other day at a length of 0.25-0.55mm

Thanks for sharing! Which website did you get your pen and needles from.
I got my pen from Temu and needles from Aliexpress (M8 derma pen) idk if it’s trustworthy to use

I just microneedle every other night with a length of .3mm than apply topical minoxidil. I try to needle different parts of the scalp to give scalp time to heal.

You are usung minoxidil and microneeding and you do not use finas or dutas. Is it correct?

      Exactly.

Minoxidil promotes the growth but doesn’t stop the cause of hair loss, the miniaturising of the follicles, you need Fin or Dut for that. Otherwise the hair loss continues just on minoxidil.

@@thpxs0554 yes, theoretically I agree. That's all we learn from studies. I'm just adding that dut and fin didn't make much of a difference on me. we need more studies for microneedling and topical mino and see if they combined can offset some miniturization issue.

@@bassmanwho I rescued my temples with micro-needling and minoxidil but the crown isn’t so responsive so I got a topical fin-min- tretinoin called Maxogen-X from USA. But as I’m 60 it may just be old age hair loss rather than pattern hair loss. It’s only 2 months and too soon to tell, I’ll know better in a year. The needling and minoxidil foam gave great results at the front.

@@thpxs0554 wow thanks for the information. Glad that the combo worked for you. The combo saved my crown but the M areas not so much since the follicles have die out. Will check out the topical you mentioned. Will be glad to hear more from you on your regimen :)

so you did not have any success with finaseride or even dutasteride?

I wouldn’t say other regimen didn’t work. I’d say, at best, they slowed down the deteriorating, but it was still going. So I grew reluctant to use them as time goes by.

@@bassmanwhohow long were u on fin and dut.. total time? I’ve been on finasteride for 14 months .. i finally started noticed some regrowth at the 11 month mark.. very slow progress but it’s definitely working

@@estebanramos4659 its very hard to tell since I started fin like 15yrs ago, and dut more recently, but they have not made significant differences on me so i have been on and off using them. I haven’t taken a pill of both in a couple of months already.
