Hi, I've started using a dermapen weekly and am 2 weeks in (1mm in week 1 then 1.5mm in the 2nd week) but after my most recent session, it looks like I've shed a considerable amount of hair. It actually looks worse than it did before - have you any advice on this please? Is this normal? It's very disheartening when all the research points to this being a trusted hair regrowth mechanism and does put me off continuing the sessions. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
This is 100% accurate info. I am 19 now. Started losing hair when I was 16. Started minoxidil very young saw a little bit of results and as soon as I started micro needling my hair was all the way back to normal. I have since quit minoxidil and only do micro needling. I am no longer loosing hair. ( ALL men in my family are completely bald )
Hey man. I’m 22. Starting stages of thinning. I’ve been using Minoxidil for a month now, should I just give that up and go to micro needling? I’m hearing everyone having great results from dermarolling
@@WaLLbAnGeR211If I were in your shoes I would definitely give it a go. Remember that any treatment you start now must be indefinite, for life. Discuss it with your doctor, and if you see that microneedling alone doesn't give results, you can always go back to the minoxidil.
@@Hairguard I used minoxidil for hair loss, and it worked for a period, now I lost most of the new formed hair, since I stopped 7 months ago, so I want ask, should I use a 1.5 mm dermaroller alone for scalp 1 time a week for some months to see if there will be any results? I must add, I'm 21, i am not balding but parts of my temples are thinning, that's why I want to recover my full hair potential.
@@noshit6790 Start using minoxydil and derma roller in combination. Once you feel your hair is thick enough. Stop using minoxydil gradually and stick with derma roller once in a week. Also have some good protein food, biotin and excercise regularly along with meditation. I'm pretty sure it will work for most of the people.
This is my 1st time growing out my hair, and your videos have been really helpful on this journey. I use an egg mask to my hair once a week and rub my scalp thrice weekly using liitlexttra coconioonn oil. Then, I wash it off with cocconioon shampoo, and I've been following this routine consistently. I'm pleased to say that my hair fall has completely stopped.
Just started microneedling 2 weeks ago with .5mm, instead of Rogaine, I use rosemary, castor, tea tree and mint oils. I feel the new hair growth already. 30 years and already liking the results
I'd like to share my results in terms of hair loss/hair regrowth after around 6-7 months of treatment. I'm 26 years old and baldness runs in my family, I also have a high stress job so needless to say that I'm at good risk of loosing my hair. First things first, I only use the scalp massage technique and microneedling. I don't use any minoxidil or finasteride for two reasons: 1. I don't like the fact that I'll be hooked on those products for life. 2. For some odd reason, stores don't sell them in the province of Quebec and I can't even get them shipped to me. Here's my routine: -everyday I do 5min. Of scalp massage with a shampoo brush focusing 15sec. On the spots where I feel there is more hair loss. -once a week I do microneedling on my balding spots, rolling over 4 times in as many directions as possible per spot. (I follow the instructions given by hairguard videos for both scalp massage and microneedling) Results: After about a month of starting the scalp massage I noticed my hair looked way thicker and stronger. When massaging it'll be normal for hair to fall off, it's the weaker hair. At the begining, I would notice an oily substance on my brush after I used it, after a while it stoped. It took about 3-4 months before I started noticing my bald spots were closing and once they started closing, they closed fast. Many of my friends even noticed how much my hair regrew! At first I didn't want to believe them but I did take progression pictures and it really did regrow! I have to say I'm very statisfied with the results and I plan on keep doing this for the forciable future. To whoever is wondering if they should start, I recommend starting by where I started before using monixidil and finasteride. It'll be less expensive and less risk for side-effects. Many thanks to hairguard for making these videos, you guys saved my hair!
Hey man! Im 16 and Baldness runs in my fam, my friends Always tell me im going to be bald. I have noticed some small signs of hair loss and I want to get ahead of it. I've got some questions if it doesn't bother you. Should I start with scalp massage before the microneedling ? And at what Time do you massage ? How many times a week do you shampoo your hair? Do you use Rosemary oil ?
@@julienleveaux3113 Sup buddy, I think starting with scalp massage is a great idea because it'll help with blood circulation and prevent further hair loss. I do my scalp massage in the afternoon before showering and I shampoo every 2 days or so, you don't want to shampoo every day because that'll break the sebum protective layer on your skull. Finally, no I don't used any product on my hair except my shampoo which is just a regular brand. Microneedling is to try to regrow hair so unless you're starting to see bald spots or a receeding hair line, you should just start with scalp massage. Hope it helps you!
After losing quite abit hair myself, luckily I was a hyper responder to treatments and able to recover it, but the mental health decline I experienced during the shedding is something that men shouldn’t ignore, and this mental health struggle seems to be common. Keep an out eye out for your hair fellas.
The overwhelming majority of people get absolutely zero results with any sort of needling protocol, in addition to the usual topicals and/or Rx. Who tf are these people in the studies reliably showing results? I trust the anecdotes, not the studies. People say it doesn't work. I've been doing this crap for 3 years and have just steadily gotten diffuse. Time for another FUE.
As you say your a responder. Hair naturally sheds in everyone so don't worry this is a natural occurrence. If the shedding results in baldness then seek expert help on treatment.
I can't believe how much microneedling does for my hair loss. I used minoxidil for months with my hair still falling out. Once I used the micropen every Sunday morning I stopped shedding. Than I stopped the micropen and continued with minoxidil and once again the hair continued to shed. I realized the micropen was a huge factor in treating my hair loss.
One key thing here is to not stop and restart the minoxidil treatment intermittently. Because minoxidil restarts the growth phase of the hairs which causes hairs in resting phase to fall out prematurely. Once you get on minoxidil, you need to stay on it for at least 2 months to see actual improvement. On the short term it will always look worse. And as long as you don't get skin rashes it has no downsides, so no real reason to not use it as a growth booster in combination with microneedling.
I'm now on my third week of my mirconeedling and daily minoxidil and the results are unbelievable. I had used minoxidil only before for 1 year and had almost zero results but once I had incorporated microneedling 1.5mm once every three weeks, results were amazing. Hopefully I could regain my confidence back...
I have been microneedling actually a dermapen for 2 years. I do it every 6 weeks. My hair is much thicker. My barber noticed. I'm not putting no chemicals in my hair
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have cats, minoxidil is not an option. Minoxidil is uniquely toxic to cats and even as little as a drop on their skin can be fatal. I was lucky enough to find out before I started, but a lot of people have lost their cats that way and there's usually no warning on the packaging.
The danger to cats is very real, one drop can easily kill them through skin contact alone. In one or two instances, someone had merely spilled a single drop on the counter, the cat later stepped on the drop, then died shortly thereafter. That said, I think there were only a handful of reports of cats being killed by minoxidil, ever. And last I checked, there has not been a single one in many years, despite the millions of men now using minoxidil (many of whom, if not most, have cats). Just be very careful, clean up all drops, rinse and dry all areas before going near your cats, they should be fine.
I've tried both the derma roller and derma pen for hair loss at a 1.5mm. They both work, I like the pen better as it hurts far less. Started seeing good results at 3 months
New PRP treatment is showing great success! How it works: Your blood is drawn and put through a centrifuge to separate the red blood cells from your plasma which contains growth factors. The plasma is then injected into the scalp. This is repeated every six weeks until growth is achieved and you don’t need to continue the treatment. Once your hair is restored, micro needling is recommended just for maintenance. I think this could be a game changer for hereditary hair loss. In the long run it’s cheaper and far less time consuming.
It's not cheaper, and most clinics don't even prepare prp correctly. They usually just perform one spin, which is PPP, two spins must be performed for PRP. And yes it's a good supplement to any hair loss routine. It's just costly in most places. Minoxidil and dermarolling is a must alongside PRP or PPP injections.
@@1Reggal will probably take 4 months to see some results. Once every 4 weeks. But needs to be in conjunction with minoxidil or it's really not going to do much of anything. After the 3rd or 4th injection you can stop and only use minoxidil. Be but beware results are minimal for the price.
I can vouch for the dermaroller alone. I have two small scars on my hairline (about 0.25 in), the furthest one on the back got covered after 4/5 months. I did not have minoxidil or finasteride, I used peppermind oil instead (the day after microneedling). The process is never pleasant but i keet at it 2x/week. I have to add : I am lvl III/IV on the Hamilton-Norwood scale and my family has a history of male pattern baldness. I spotted it early on and am actively doing something about it.
@@Bozzigmupp I recovered 1/4 inch of my hairline.I got tiny dark hairs where there were none. Note of advice: more factors were involved in achieving this, such as no hairstyling products, hair dryer (when necessary) always on cool, no phosphate shampoo's, be gentle with the hair you have.
After a previous video of yours I sent off for my free dermaroller. True to your word you’ve never spammed me with adverts etc and I’ve never bought your products either! It was genuinely free! Lol. I’ve now used it for almost a year combined with minoxidil/finesteride and daily scalp massage. The results have been phenomenal. Of course, it’s hard to attribute which of these is having the most effect. But the combination of these has produced better quality hair that has undoubtedly increased in thickness and density. Great videos. Thank you! :)
Been using a micro needle pen 1x a week and minoxidil 3-4x a week for my hair line the last 4 months. Seems to be new hair growth so I'll just continue since it seems to work.
In my personal case (severe alopecia, potentially norwood 6) I've used minoxidil for nearly 4 years and had worked until the third one; on the fourth i've started to see a progressive decrease in his effects; i've added dermapen 1 a week +Ketoconazole shampoo and after 2-3 months the front has seen a good improvment; however after reducing the application of dermapen from 1 a week to 1 every 2 week I've seeing a return to the original state before dermapen... I think the best possibile application it's 1 every week, at least in my personal case with severe alopecia; i will try returning to 1 a week and comment the results in case someone is interested
@@primorojo9481 It depends on how much sides you are suppose to take into account VS Regrow hair loss. Always remember that prevention is the optimal way to operate
@@raxerkingdom3 I've added serenoa repens in order to add another tool without the possible sides of finasteride; at the moment the situation is nearly as 2 months ago (I've started to count the process as soon as I've started serenoa repens), not better not worse; i think to see if it really work I'll have to wait 6 month nearly
Replace minoxidil with Rosemary oil mixed in 1:10 ratio with a virgin coconut oil carrier (don't use thick carrier oils). You get zero side effects like impotence with minoxidil & while it takes slightly longer to show results than minoxidil, the results are longer lasting & boost your mental health by boosting mood as well.
@@SodiumSyndicate no, it's light carrier oil mix your rosemary to your jojoba oil bottle. or you can add peppermint oil also you can mix rosemary oil to your shampoo
Wow. I thought it was too good to be true, but decided to try it anyway since you guys where giving away the derma roller. I'm baffled, but it actually works! I've been doing 1 microneedling session without any topical a week for about a month and I'm already seeing visible results! Thanks a lot! 😃
@@helios8004 The one they send out has a size of 1 mm. It's been effective so far, but I do plan to try 1.5 mm sooner or later to see if there's any difference.
@@marcevirdis98 hey, still dermarolling once every 1 or 2 weeks, still seeing slow but noticeable progress, i.e. new hair (even without using any medications). I'm going to soon switch to a 2mm dermapen and keep at it for the next few months: it's not a like hair transplant, of course, but good enough to alleviate a receding hairline
I have an other tip to stop hairloss. Try a head spider. I don't know how to say this in english. In german is a "Kopfmassage Spinne" it stimulate every single nerv on your head and I swear your hair will stop falling out. Your head will be so much relaxed you will see. It works very good to me. But it is the same like other products means the hair do not grow again when they were fallen out. But you will see it stops falling out I am sure.
I've been doing it for about 4 months now and I'm pretty sure my hair is a bit thicker. My wife thinks so too but I should have let her mention it without asking her because by asking her, I may have put the idea into her head that its thicker. We'll see what my mother and friends have to say if anything a few months down the road! ( No, I won't ask them this time! )
i am using derma 0.5mm trust me it works but it takes years to reverse and yes u might never get the hairs u have in your childhood but it will give u what u needed
@@samik884 Only 0.5? Shouldn't you got a big higher? Or do you do it more often than once a month like me? Also, how long have you been doing it? What kind of results have you experienced so far?
@@buyerofsorts i do it once a week and i use coconut oil with vitamin e one capsule mixed in the oil it gives perfect nourishment to the hair and more importantly to the scalp skin and i have been doing the dermaroller for alomost 8 to 10 months but mixing the vitamin e in my oil for 1.5 months and about results trust me even my barber told me that my hairs have become thicker without me asking
@@samik884 Oh by the way, I've been derma rolling with a 1.5mm for four months now and my wife commented that my hair looks thicker. She didn't even know I was doing it! I noticed it looked thicker too about a month ago. Pretty cool stuff!
I do a microneedling per week (always after a shower because the skin is smooth and easier to puncture) and add pumpkinseed oil after to help the scalp to cure faster. During the first few weeks I noticed that thinner hair fell but it came back thicker, then new hairs began to show up, at first the recovered hairs were thin and fell but grew back thicker. The progress is slow but solid. I would suggest an oil that the skin react well with after a microneedling, rosemary oil fit with about everybody, not only it helps the scalp to cure faster but hairs seem to enjoy it.
Med student here who worked in data science for 7 years before medical school where we once again study statistics and research. So in short, I do math and research for a long time. Not going into all the details here, as micro needling is indeed helpful and 10/10 recommend everything this guy is saying, But so people who dont know how to interpret research 91 - 50 => 41 Mean hair growth 22+20=> 42 Mean hair growth. They include each other in the range of the Mean...., so there is a chance this change was seen by chance alone. So, while yes he showed you a graph and read research, make sure you understand how to read it yourself.
I definitely needed this video. I hate applying minoxidil, it makes my hair so greasy no matter what solvent, and also fks up the scalp. I’ll continue using microneedling with dermapen only. Thank god
@@neometalx9 I just started this routine a few weeks ago, so I'm not sure if it works yet. I put the dermastamp at 2mm once a week, then follow it with rosemary oil mixed with Purador scalp therapy serum. I put that on the scalp twice a day. I also use a Hairmax comb three times a week. I'm hoping one of these techniques work. Too early to tell right now.

Once I burned my fingers to the bone on right hand and was treated at a burn center for over a year. During healing I grew hair on my fingers like a ape. Unbelievable how a wound will stimulate hair follicles.
I rather do this then having to use minoxidil or finasteride for a lifetime. Doing this once or twice a week that’s not a hassle at all. I have a minor receding hairline so this could possibly get it back to my original hairline.
Not at all, instead using 1,5 mm once a week or in two weeks, to would be better if you Just used the 0,75 or 1 mm, and it doesn't hurty your scalp at all, also you might see better result though..
No point if your not taking finastride though, microneedling does nothing fir DHT suppression and eventually all the hair that you do grow will be gone
@@symbiosisai not true at all, dermorolling the hair grows and doesn't fall out once you get your vellus hairs started. You're playing Russian roulette with Finasteride.
That sounds like a dream to me. I'm 21, my hair is super curly and i like having a fresh line up. I started to notice my hair thinning from the corners. It's still pretty unnoticeable to others but i can still see it I dont want a U shaped hairline when I'm 30 so that's perfect to me. Will add it to my lifestyle to protect my hairline
Get on it now. I'm 32 and I got a super receded hairline now. My hairline started thinning in my early 20's just like you. I don't know why I waited so long to try and do something, but I'm scrambling at this point. If fin and minox don't work for me, then I'll see a real dermatologist instead of going through Keeps, and see what they recommend. Let's see what happens.
@@UNPOCOLOCO444 I plan on getting a hair transplant by 27 or so if the thinning gets bad. Why don't you get one? It's worth the money imo. It's very effective and it only takes a couple hours. Edit: I bought a dermapen and some jamaican oil and will start micro needling using that hopefully it keeps my stuff fresh and stops the thinning
@@user-qd7pc7th7z it's super expensive here in the states for me, because of the number of grafts that I would need ($10k+), but I've considered getting it done in Mexico City, where it's much cheaper and the surgeons are excellent. Let me know how that microneedling works out for you.
Im 38 i started losing around 21 in the front. i did minoxidil and finasteride plus two hair transplants. after about five years and thousands of dollars i just gave up. i just got a dr . pen micro needler decided to give it one last shot. not expecting much, but i wish you luck.
This is my gripe with Minoxidil. Yes it works but you have to keep taking it in order for it to work and when you stop taking it, all the hair goes away. So I'm seriously thinking about going this route
@@BabaYaga-uc3gb bro i used shampoo with that stuff the next day my hair didnt fall out at all (when I was in my shedding phase) gotta be careful with that stuff tho I left it in a little too long and used it on my entire head and the next 2-3 days my balls hurt so bad I made peace with losing my hair (thankfully it went away)
@@BabaYaga-uc3gb it is in fact proven by studies that is indeed effective, the thing is, saw palmetto blocks around 30% of your DHT, while finasteride blocks around 70% of your DHT, that means saw palmetto is less effective than finsteride, and thus, work for a smaller group of man.
I didnt realize stopping dermarolling also made you lose results...was really hoping it wasn't a permanent thing but considering its once every 10 days, I think its an obvious solution over minoxidil x2 a day.
I use a derma roller 1.5mm once a week with peppermint oil and saw palmetto and biotin. I also wash my hair twice a week with nizoral. I believe I'm actually growing back some hairs. I'm not keen on using minoxidil because I have a sensitive scalp.
Wow very interesting because I have just started a very similar approach. I'm using nizoral to try and manage DHT levels locally and I have a 1.5mm derma roller that I will start using this week. I was a little weary of minoxidil and since reading your comment I have hope for this protocol
All these videos about microneedling are leaving out the one very thing I want to see. That is what the scalp looks like after performing the process. Would love to see during photos. Say right after the needling was done, then maybe 8hrs later and then a day later.
For me I have redness for a few hours and the next day I’m fine. I did this before bed and right after work so I had the weekend to heal but it wasn’t as bad as I thought. I used 1.5mm and yes I did have very few blood spots. Nothing crazy though
1 session every 3 weeks compared to applying that crap to your head everyday, with even better results...no contest. I just bought a derma pen excited to start seeing results
im doing that derma roller only and finasteride and vitamins for the hair like biotin zinc because its realy hard to commit minoxidil twice daily for lifetime

Non believers will be able to make use of it too. But as I noticed, back when I was a non believer, I saw no instant manifestation of hair and I made use of rules God had created that I didn't fully understand.
I had serous side effects from both minoxidil and Finasterid. Minoxidil caused very low heart rate and blood pressure was also dropped. I only applied it to my scalp and still it caused me these symptoms. Finasteride gave me very small kidney stones. I stopped and since then I didn't use anything and I didn't have the side effects either but my hair is still coming off slowly. This study gave me some some hope. at least I can still do something. I have done that and that was the worse thing I have ever done. My head doesn't look good bald. I had a hairtransplant a couple of years ago and I don't have too much hair on my donor area. My hairtransplant wasn't a success. I originally have very thin hair with high density. And of course I'm am blond :D I should have at least 2-3 surgeries to reach at least part of that density so that transplanted area could blend with my original hair. I had my surgery on my hairline. @@stolenn4me I guess maybe it doesn't work for everyone. As soon as I noticed thinning on my temples I began to use a derma roller. Perhaps, it's a time based thing.......preventative measures so to speak. I also noticed some thinning when I first started, but that's just the normal cutting action of the needle rolling over the finer hairs. I found my gains to far exceed the loss from the cutting action. As for the meds....I don't have any comment because I've never taken meds for hair loss.
I started using derma roller for 6 months and didn’t notice any changes -using it at my hair line. For the past 3 weeks started with the electric pen I’m using weekly and using topical finasteride 1% I will keep you updated. Great video and you have the hair dude. Thank you
Question! -if i clean the derma roller with alcohol and water solution, can i use it afterwards? -if i use derma roller at 10pm, can i take a bath in the morning at 7am? Hope you reply. Many thanks!
Hair doctors recommend that the needle should be 0.5mm only. A longer needle will damage your scalp and make it difficult for hair transplant down the line. Another thing, you should get a stamper instead of the roller.
Derma Roller is the only solution to regrow new hair in natural way.. It is good to go with Derma Roller with Organic Oil (better than using minoxidil - chemical side effect product).
There are 2 aspects, stopping hair loss and regrowing lost hair. The video answered growing new hair, but if I wish to stop the existing hair loss, then what to do?
Sounds great! I would add trying horsetail herbals caps, fresh veggie juice (Lettuce, greens, carrot), and after derma-stamping a nice blend with rosemary or peppermint oil. Oh, eat your seaweed, too. Ciao !!
it won't work if you have male pattern baldness. Get on finasteride, rely on clinical trial data that you can easily google, don't read articles, dont rely on youtube.
Thanks for the video. After they stopped taking the Minoxidil and microneedling do they have research of continuing the microneedling one a week to see what the hair loss or gain would be? Should you stop microneedling or continue for ever?
I've been doing this now once every 2 weeks and taking biotin. I am shocked with how it's working. I started growing what looked like peach fuzz at first and now there growing thicker and taking color. Wish I would of took a before to post. I'm still thin but I have a hairline now and more keep growing in once empty spots on head. I'm using a .30 roller. I may try a 1.0 or a 1.5 to see if I get more aggressive results but so far so good with what I'm using.
i have alopecia areata on my head and beard, ive been using a dermaroller since it began in feb 2021, and i started to see re-growth after 1 month, first tiny little white hairs that all of a sudden one day turned from white hairs to black like my hair is, 2 out of the 4 spots on my head are completely gone and full regrowth on these 2 spots. in my beard i started having regrowth almost 2-3 weeks after starting using my dermaroller, its getting thicker every day but still white hairs, but the regrowth is 100% there. This shit actually works TRUST ME.
I just started using the dermapen every other day for the last 2 weeks (@ 1mm) and I started growing the thick white hairs already. Only 4 in total so far, but it's like watching an old houseplant come back from the dead lol. I'm just happy to see anything growing out of this spot that's been dormant for so many years. So far so good. 👏
Hello, watching all the way from Papua New Guinea (PNG)🇵🇬 and am experiencing bad hair loss. But after watching your video I was so amazed by the fast hair regrowth of using dermaroller and I would be so pleased to have one of these for my hair regrowth.... How can I get a free one❤🙏🙏🙏
I feel like men such as us who are sensitive to DHT in our scalps, need to treat our hair like we do our teeth. If you don't maintain good dental hygiene, you will get cavities and your teeth will eventually fall out. If you don't microneedle, use a topical and something like saw palmetto, your hair will fall out.
I use a Dr Pen 1.5mm needle once a week. I've been doing it for two...almost three months and I haven't really noticed a difference. I just started fin and min so I'll keep doing it and see how it goes. The only thing I do notice is 3-4 days after my microneedling session I shed some skin. I read that that is because new cells or something like that are coming due to the microneedling, which is fine.. I don't mind it all that much, but I really wish I had some hairgrowth.
Celluar turnover can take 4-6 weeks, in my opinion weekly is too often. Sometimes less is more, you might want to consider laying off and just doing it once per month only. Given you have been at it a lot i would take a rest for 1 month and see if you notice any regrowth.
@@jmarshall7623 Roughly speaking the follicles sit at 3mm under the skin, and for some it's less (because some people have thinner skin than others). PLUS skin gets thinner as people age. For some people 2.5 could decimate and destroy the hair follicles under the skin, which is the opposite of what we are trying to achieve. In regards to frequency and how often, depending on your age, cellular turnover takes about 4 to 6 weeks. It’s best to wait and allow your cells to be replaced and renewed before you have another session. If you microneedle in this time, you would be re-damaging the skin that is about to be replaced by the cellular turnover.

Great video, Ive just invested in minoxodil dermaroller and loads of vitamins and natural DHT blockers like Saw Palmetto also, so as to cover all my bases!! This was really helpful as was wondering about just the derma rolling alone, as was no information out there as to if it worked and been mulling this over for a couple of months.. I'm yet to bite the bullet and actually start derma rolling and Minoxodil, but they're in the bathroom cabinet lol, so think I'm going to start this weekend, with derma rolling and Minoxodil. The other thing is I just grew my hair long and my hair fell out suddenly over a few months following having Covid I'm reluctant to shave it off due to taking nearly 2 years to grow out! But wondered whether derma rollering with long hair was viable or best to shave it off for better effect?? And avoid pulling out what's left lol ..Any advice you have would be appreciated! As don't want to lose it completely as it's just really thin on top now but no really BALD patches as yet apart from the male pattern baldness "peak" at the front.. Thanks from London England for a great video 👍😎
Hey man you literally explained my situation I got long hair losing hair around my temples and really curious about all this stuff as really want to stop losing hair and hopefully get my hair back
I've been microneedling off and on for about 4-5 months. I stopped most recently because my hair has become pretty long (6-7 inches). Any advice for microneedling without keeping your hair short? I enjoy my long hair and want to continue to derma-roll my crown.
Don´t use a derma-roll. Instead use a dermapen. 1. Your hair won´t get caught in the dermapen, cause it works up and down instead of rolling over your head. 2. When you roll with a dermaroll you can likely hurt your scalp, because the needles come in an angle and out of an angle, potentially making damage. With a pen you don´t have that problem. Here is a video on how to use one: th-cam.com/video/_UA9ezl9o-w/w-d-xo.html
My hair reaches below my shoulders and under my chin from front. I still use derma roller. The key is to push into direction of hair, not against it. Also don't push too far into the hair line. For me mid section reaching the lineis far enough. Never had issues with hair sticking
I have a relatively long but thin hair. My scalp is pretty visible but when microneedling, it was still able to get entangled on the needle So yeah, mybe microneedle arent so effective if i want to keep my hair a bit longer
I wish there was a study mixing other treatments as well. Like Low level laser therapy helmets with microneedling and/or minoxidil. I have a theradome ($1200 retail, i paid $300) and i have no idea if its helped a lot, i try to use it consistency but there are sometimes weeks that go by that i haven't, in total i've used it 200 times in 2 years. I've never been consistent with the micro needling, but i'm going to give my best shot, along with daily amla oil.
i have use dermo roller (0.5) with nio har lition & my hair start growing after one month my hair start to falling down again is their any other effective treatment ??? do tell
Thank you for this super informative video! Big Pharma is gonna hate you for bringing these journals to light. I swear whenever promising findings like that get journaled, they mysteriously get swept under the rug. Not enough $ to be made by big companies for microneedling right. On a side note, does anyone recommend any natural topicals to be applied a few hours after microdneedling? I often hear castor oil, or some carrier oil mixed with essentials. I'd love some help as I am new to all this :)
I started doing microneedling to the area of low beard growth below my lower lip. After a short time, I had to stop due to too much growth. I had to only do it where I wanted hair growth

It actually looks worse than it did before - have you any advice on this please? Is this normal? Once you feel your hair is thick enough. Stop using minoxydil gradually and stick with derma roller once in a week.

You take fina as well?
Too start once a week, add oils right after. What is fina?
@@pjwakelee8227 Fina is finasteride. Do you use a 1 mm dermaroller or a 1.5 mm dermaroller?
I'd like to share my results in terms of hair loss/hair regrowth after around 6-7 months of treatment. I'm 26 years old and baldness runs in my family, I also have a high stress job so needless to say that I'm at good risk of loosing my hair.
First things first, I only use the scalp massage technique and microneedling. I don't use any minoxidil or finasteride for two reasons:
1. I don't like the fact that I'll be hooked on those products for life.
2. For some odd reason, stores don't sell them in the province of Quebec and I can't even get them shipped to me.
Here's my routine:
-everyday I do 5min. Of scalp massage with a shampoo brush focusing 15sec. On the spots where I feel there is more hair loss.
-once a week I do microneedling on my balding spots, rolling over 4 times in as many directions as possible per spot.
(I follow the instructions given by hairguard videos for both scalp massage and microneedling)
Results:
After about a month of starting the scalp massage I noticed my hair looked way thicker and stronger.
I was wondering what is the technique you used for the messaging?
How severe was your hair loss??
What derma roller size you using?
After losing quite abit hair myself, luckily I was a hyper responder to treatments and able to recover it, but the mental health decline I experienced during the shedding is something that men shouldn’t ignore, and this mental health struggle seems to be common. Keep an out eye out for your hair fellas.
Can you tell how much hair did u lose and how did u recover
Pretty much ruined my life, it's true
The overwhelming majority of people get absolutely zero results with any sort of needling protocol, in addition to the usual topicals and/or Rx. Who tf are these people in the studies reliably showing results? I trust the anecdotes, not the studies. People say it doesn't work. I've been doing this crap for 3 years and have just steadily gotten diffuse. Time for another FUE.
As you say your a responder. Hair naturally sheds in everyone so don't worry this is a natural occurrence. If the shedding results in baldness then seek expert help on treatment.
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart
Jeremiah 29:13
And as long as you don't get skin rashes it has no downsides, so no real reason to not use it as a growth booster in combination with microneedling.
what micropen do you use man
What size pin do you use? And what brand and where did you buy it?

Thanks for sharing your experience.
Hello. Can i ask,do you use something topical or just microneedling ? And where do you see the regrowth ? Thanks.
Minoxidil and dermarolling is a must alongside PRP or PPP injections.
nope…the results is disappointed
If you do that PPP system how long do you have to do it for and how effective is it in regrowing hair or feeling bald spots
@@1Reggal will probably take 4 months to see some results. Once every 4 weeks. But needs to be in conjunction with minoxidil or it's really not going to do much of anything. After the 3rd or 4th injection you can stop and only use minoxidil. Be but beware results are minimal for the price.

This is my gripe with Minoxidil. Yes it works but you have to keep taking it in order for it to work and when you stop taking it, all the hair goes away. So I'm seriously thinking about going this route

Very skeptical does this realy work and does this also help to alopecia?
Yes, it really works. Alopecia is the medical term for hair loss.
I experience the same bro.... I have noticed also that masturbating affects the growth of hair, when I stop doing that the growth increases.
Go to 2.5mm. Meant to stimulate stem cell proliferation. I've recently bumped to 2.5mm every 2 weeks
