It's pretty amazing that dry ice can be such a powerful cleaner yet be so gentle on everything like the delicate electrical connections/wires
It truly is! You can make it super gentle or you can strip paint with it if you wanted. Unreal

Nice Job, just for future reference. The door light bezels and the glove box bezel have the positive and negative stamped on them. No need to write them in. The wires are self explanatory. Ground is solid brown. Cheers.

What a nice car and what a nice job you did restoring it. These older cars deserve to be kept and driven :) That dry ice is really next gen. Is it as tough as aqua blasting ?
Thank you! We completely agree :) Aqua blasting will definitely be abrasive, while dry ice is non abrasive blasting method. Dry ice cleaning uses a physics process call sublimation to remove contaminants from surfaces. Super interesting stuff!

I do have one question ? some of the stuff you are removing is fisholine " rust protection" is removing it detrimental? do you then re coat with weather proofing?

On this car was the chrome trim wrapped black or was it actually painted to match the body? I have a 500SE 1990, same AMG parts as this car minus the 3 piece, I have the monoblock wheels. All my trim is chrome and I'm looking to get the same look as this car.

Yes the new ones are nice but this generation of Mercedes is just classic and elegant and still looks awesome today unlike a lot American luxury cars from the same era just don’t show this nice good work nonetheless 💯
