It has a Macau's Portuguese era taxi permit plate with only one "M", so it was a taxi/hotel car service, ohh and the Alfa....lovely and Portuguese tags too. Awesome video, great work.
I think what struck me the most is that although it's an old car (maybe 1979,1980?), the cleanliness of your workshop - not just clean, GLEAMING - and the quiet, efficient, experienced, technicians with all the right tools and equipment and a lot of know how - plus quite evidently a SUPER well organised plan/process - not to mention the movie level quality of videography and editing - gave the whole thing an almost surreal feel of a team of surgeons operating on a magnificent old beast on the edge of extinction. And that bit by bit, his life signs stabilise until eventually he emerges not just with a new heart and new knees, but also a nose job, tummy tuck, skin peel, hair transplant, eye lift and teeth polished - as well as a full day at the spa being oiled, massaged and moisturised, nose hairs and eyebrows tidied, mani/pedi, shaved (in places where you both can - and can't - see!) - and sent out into the world with a clean bill of health and a haircut, new suit, shoes, spectacles and watch😂❤

Lo que me sorprende es que en sus vídeos o en descripción del video, ni menciona donde está la empresa (país y cuidad) ni tampoco el sitio web. Lo he encontrado, pero creo que será en su interés de ponerlo.
I’m amazed by your ability to restore this car to a level that equals or arguably surpasses how the car was when it rolled off the assembly line. Many of the w116 chassis parts are no longer available, so you are actually reproducing the quality and craftsmanship that would otherwise get lost to time. Great video!

I thought about the newer cars, and then I thought about my W210 with 428k km on it - I would love to do a restoration on it similar to this. Very very interesting and satisfying to watch. They do not make these cars like that any more. W124 and W126 were the last of this era. W116 is an extra treat to see in this condition - and of all places, coming from and going back to Macau. Thank you for this presentation.
Wonderful video of this restoration. That 450 SEL was (is) such a high quality car. I find it quite sad that even Daimler Benz has chosen to back away from producing the best automobiles possible. Great to see the Alcala team performing such impressive work on this icon of Mercedes engineering. Regards from Los Angeles.
Amazing craft! My uncle had the 450SEL 6.9 in the 1980s and I fell in love with it. I have been looking for one in the last few years. How much would a similar overhaul cost if I supplied a car in similar condition?

Amazing work! I enjoyed watching this video. I just have one question. Why did you paint the car with the windshield and rear glass still on? I would assume at that level of restoration, the glass would be also removed and inspected for corrosion underneath. Thank you for sharing this content.
Hello Sr, Thanks for watching our videos, always remove the front and rear glass is difficult depending on the status of the rubber. Our first question to the customer is, we have 2 options, either we leave the original glass, or we try to remove, always in a smooth and delicate way.. but you know.. depend on the rubbers and the long time the car has been outside.. is difficult not to crack it. It was a decision of the customer not to remove it, so we did our best to restore it as it was. I must say, there was not rust point under it, as normally those have UST points because of the water, but in the place where it was stored, there was not water and also the country is not popular for many rain.. so we got lucky at this point.. Many thanks for your question and I hope I helped with the explanation. Best regards and thanks for following us!
Magnificent job. Magnificent model of Mercedes-Benz. Your mechanics and technicians should work for NASA! I think that's the most impressive restoration/renewal I have ever seen. Thanks...
My uncle used to let me drive his 450 SEL 6.9 Mercedes when it was almost brand new back in the 70s. That one was a right hand drive also. Watching this brought back so many memories for me. I used to compare putting your foot down in this car to take off in a jet airliner! What you can achieve is truly amazing and the passion you do it with is truly a credit to you, your father and your team.
Thankyou for replying. I might add that the fastest my uncle and I drove in his car was 280kph, before our nerves gave out. Not because of the car - it was rock steady, and I'm sure able to get to at least 300kph. The thing is this was in central Australia, on narrow roads with kangaroos and cattle able to wander onto the road. It's amazing how much more narrow a road looks at 280kph! Still, at least we were not in danger of getting a speeding ticket in this part of Australia, as there was NO speed limit on outback roads in those days! Just like your fancy autopistas, hey? I'd love to come to Spain one day and meet great people like you guys. Cheers from Australia.
👍sehr umfangreiche Restauratorin. Eines der letzten schönen echten Mercedes Modelle. Ich besitze aus der Riehe W116 den kleinsten (S280 1979) mit 74.000km und den dicksten (450 SEL 6.9 1977) mit 196.000km.
I am sure that the driver of this renewed car will drive the car with peace of mind that he will not see a check engine or if he breathes inside the car, he will not see a message, please visit the nearest agent. Simple mechanic, no complications, no poor plastic inside the car, no high costs. Whoever made this car and similar ones at that time was making something to be proud of, but now whoever makes the car is only concerned with emptying your pockets. Imagine that most of the cars in the eighties and nineties had headlights made of glass, but now they are made of the worst types of plastic. May your right hand be safe, men, for renewing this icon. from Damascus Syria all love

Every project has a different cost, as the car status can vary, and the amount of parts to be changed also, if you want to have a budget for any project, send us an email with the details of the car and some pictures and we will be glad to do it. "Technology@alcala.cat". Thanks for watching us!
Best car ever made, in my opinion, and incredibly underappreciated.
This is the work of artisans, man. Thanks for sharing it.

You guys are the ultimate car restorers. You really know your stuff and you do it right. How much does such a restoration cost and how long does it take?
I’m amazed by your ability to restore this car to a level that equals or arguably surpasses how the car was when it rolled off the assembly line. Many of the w116 chassis parts are no longer available, so you are actually reproducing the quality and craftsmanship that would otherwise get lost to time. Great video!
@@alcalatechnology keep it at and thanks for sharing your work with us!
Even Mercedes is proud of what u did with this car well done mate.

Thank you for this presentation.
wow BEAUTIFUL car ! wow those guys did a great restoration job on this very NICE car !
what kinda paint did you use ? PPG Delton? or dupont?
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Beautifully photographed -- high production value. In addition, the workmanship is absolutely top notch on this classic 70s Mercedes Benz.
Good Lord! What a car. Beautiful restored
How much would a similar overhaul cost if I supplied a car in similar condition?

super 👍👍🇱🇰🇱🇰

Pure class, How much did this project cost?
The new interior color is a huge improve over the original--nice choice! You guys did a great job on this restoration.
Amazing work! I enjoyed watching this video. I just have one question. Why did you paint the car with the windshield and rear glass still on? I would assume at that level of restoration, the glass would be also removed and inspected for corrosion underneath.
Thank you for sharing this content.
Hello Sr,
Thanks for watching our videos, always remove the front and rear glass is difficult depending on the status of the rubber.
Thank you very much for your words and watching us! Best regards from Spain!
@michaelscheffler6073 of course! You are very welcome whenever you want!
me gusta más, ver vuestros vídeos, que ver una película!!
No sabes lo feliz que me hace leer esto! Muchas gracias por tus palabras y espero que disfrutes de todo lo que se viene!
👍sehr umfangreiche Restauratorin. Eines der letzten schönen echten Mercedes Modelle. Ich besitze aus der Riehe W116 den kleinsten (S280 1979) mit 74.000km und den dicksten (450 SEL 6.9 1977) mit 196.000km.

Impresionante trabajo e impresionante vídeo.
Enhorabuena.
Thank you for your words!
Yous guys are just amazing. I thoroughly enjoy watching what you do to those cars. Complete perfectionists, well done!

AMAZING TEAM WORK👍👍👍😇🙏
Thank you! 🙏🏻
I truly enjoy watching the magnificent transformation of a classic Mercedes Benz. Great work and thank you.
BUENAS TARDES.
@@alcalatechnology gracias
A ti por vernos
An incredible and stunning restoration of such a great car. And this video is so great to watch - you guys are wonderful! I had one when I was in my late 20's a dark walnut brown 1980 450SEL. Seeing this restoration reminds me of how the 450SEL was and is such a truly remarkable car!!
Thank you! 🙏
I cannot see any price tag attached to this perfect workmanship. Do I miss something?
As a matter of fact, I expected a (labor) price tag, so I would be able to estimate project cost, compared to the state a car is in. Nothing about this is mentioned in the video. @@alcalatechnology
You guys are true artists. What you did is simply amazing ❤
Thank you! 🙏
Very impressive. What did the restoration cost?
Thanks!
Gran trabajo, gusta ver que haya profesionales tan buenos por nuestra zona de Girona 🙌
¡Hola! Tengo exactamente el mismo coche en Málaga. Algún día os llamaré, ¡vaya trabajado!
Never seen this level of perfection and professionalism in my life 👌👍🫡
Neither do I travelling around the world and working in huge companies.. our level of detail is insane..
What can one say? I was blown away by this Magnificent transformation! Awesome workmanship, your guys are truly an amazing asset to this craft!!! If only there were more of you restoring all the wonderful cars that are rusting away. I’m looking forward to the next one. Thank You
This is exactly what loving cars really means.
Yes! 🙏🏻
You're doing amazing job. It would be cool to see extra acoustic/noise treatment to your projects (cabin, roof, doors, floor..) and sound (multimedia) system upgrades 👍
Magnifique, dommage que ce soit une conduite à droite mais à part cela, SIMPLEMENT MAGNIFIQUE.
Mérci BCP!
Please come restore my Alfa Romeo! I love the 450s series of that Era ! Can't wait for the Alfa! Beautiful work, amazing!

Simply amazing.. So whats the price on such a restoration?
This is incredible ! Never really been a Mercedes fan but this car i can appreciate, I'd own this in a heartbeat. The workmanship is unlike anything I've seen before, truly stunning.
The colour exterior/interior combination is perfect.
Would have loved to have seen a small video of the owner receiving it and his reaction. I think I'd cry if it was me lol.
Well done on a fantastic restoration.
You have accomplished the near impossible. I don't think even the Merz factory could do this.
Keep the dreams alive! Bravo!
I can only clap 👏👏👏 If all garages could do so much attention to details in restorations......
Many thanks, we just have passion for what we do!
Fantastic work guys , and I love the way you take care of people's property too . 👍👍
