Exactly what i meant, platforms have rules and regulations. We need to see how kids have access to these? Let us all go back to basics, where are the parents of these kids who keep on blaming these platforms instead of checking what they did to secure their kids... My thing

TikTok is taking more safety measures than parents are for their own children

Let's be honest, youth suicide has always been an issue here. Just like the significant rises in bullying. They don't want an actual solution because that would involve funding programs that are truly involved with mental health. They are using this as nothing more than a talking point for elections and sound bites. This happens every time. Same with child exploitation. They only care when they can use it for their own benefit. I mean, isn't there a website dedicated to the amount of high profile officials who have been caught doing the very thing they're screaming about. That Sound of Freedom movie for example. Gaetz for another.

Kids are smart enough not to put in their real ages so they can access whatever they want when they want.

and parents are dumb enough to not know their are parental controls on everything these days. Though I agree social media do need to make changes. I don't know if it requires heavy regulations that would limit expression or free speech by putting up access barriers of some sort. I don't like the idea of everything public by default for 1. And the fact privacy settings feel like they fall short. I think cell phone companies need to really take the lead on assuring parents know about parental controls when purchasing for a child.

Apps should require identification to prove your age..also know who you are so there would be less bullying...so many people say the nasty things and get it over with

I have an example. Everyone openly admitted that they let their kids watch Squid Game without batting an eye, what's up with that? Squid Game on Netflix obviously contained uncensored gore & violence, it's almost like half the parents can't be bothered.

And why over there in China is there a limitation on TikTok?? at least 40' per person for a day and you allow people to have fun all over the world!!! If I were president but in my country, I would also ban this application.

WTH 😅 dude china does have TikTok but it’s called Douyin. Unlike US where kids can lie about their age in social media, China has a system where you have to prove your id before you used the app or even if you can use it without proving your ID, you can’t click Like nor commenting nor messaging and etc. this is a problem within the US why do y’all have to brought up other nations? Like chill man

Senator should ask: 1. does TikTok have any CCP members? 2. How many CCP members are there? 3. Does TikTok have CCP committees?4. How do the CCP committees influence TikTok's operations and decisions?
