Shouldnt have any starting issues. Absolutely no throttle blip required as the ECU manages it. Possibly a leaking air throttle bleed valve.

Yeah, have to be careful riding I gjt the Triple as its smaller and lighter so I can move it about on its side stand. Was a bit worried about another Triumph though.

Got a slightly later model, same shape but with the 955i engine. I noticed the suspension was harsh too, I played around with settings with no luck. But after some investigation, the drag link was completely siezed and fused together. So, I was effectively riding a hardtail. It's quite a common issue on these due to the the Triumph factory using minimal grease from new, the location of the drag link, the age of the bikes and the fact it seems to get overlooked during maintenance. It would be a very quick and easy check. But the triumph factory had a good sense of humour and mounted the bolt to remove behind the exhaust. So you can either remove the radiator, then the exhaust, and then the drag link. Or do what I did, source a replacement bolt first. Then hacksaw through the original bolt. Then, reinsert the new bolt the opposite way for future easy maintenance. Fingers crossed yours just needs a bit of grease on the needle rollers. Unfortunately I had to use an angle grinder to get mine off in the end and buy a replacement drag link assembly.

This is not Tom Cruise bike,T595 was.T509 apears in the matrix movie with Trinity riding it. I think
'99 year saw the DAYTONA (t595) and the speed triple (T509) renamed as Daytona 955i and Speed Triple 955i. The speed triple T509 has an 885cc engine and the '99 Speed triple has the 955cc motor of the Daytona (but for some variations including different cams and non-nikasil cylinder liners). The MI2 movie featured one of each. There were actually several bikes of each bought for the movie, some died in stunts, some used for training/stunt preps, some for spare parts. Movie scenes featured various bikes, some with mods to facilitate the action. eg. Knobby tires escaping the "fort" scenes. And yes, some of these movie bikes did survive and made it out into real road life.

Nice bike pal whilst i have a 1 year old gsa i have picked up a 2005 daytona 955i as a second bike shes none runner so far its looking like a faulty fuel pump ordered a used one this bike is one of the last few daytona 955 its been owned by an old bloke for 15 years he died so his wife sold it to a bike company in northampton so fingers crossed shes a good runner cos i may keep her shes only dine 21k and 2100miles in 15 years shes in red
