August 07, 2016 now, so if this video is a year old...... oh what joy to see the $2.44 pump price, seeing as it's currently the equivalent of $6.40 (U.S.) per gallon here in the U.K. (it recently went down a little!!!!) World oil prices are pretty much standardised as you know, so all the extra is pure added TAX. If you think it's excruciating, you're damned right!
Petrol in the UK at the moment is around $7.50 per US Gallon. Of course the dollar is very strong against the pound just now due to our incompetent government almost bankrupting the country!
7/17 in Finland gas is about 1,50€/L which is about $6,65 (US)/gal. Lovely. In the 90's there used to be stickers on pumps that said 75 % of gas price is taxes. I believe it's about 90 % these days.

Virtually free and super quality healt care (giving birth 200€, including 3 hospital days, heart bypass about the same) free top of the world education incl.college and university, free food for kids during school day, virtually free daycare and totally free if you are unemployed. State pays your rent and gives you min 600€/month for living if you are unemployed etc. And this is for everyone without any additional insurances. That is how tax money has to be used.
One time I was driving my friends 2015 Cadillac Escalade 420 HP and someone riding an older 600cc sport bike opened it up on the freeway and he was surprised I kept pace with him lol

The US Gallon is only 0.83 of an Imperial one - but you are still right about the fuel duty :D
