At this point the term "alpha strike" has been used so many times and in so many different ways it has lost all meaning. The most definite thing I can say is that it means "attack"
Love games with non-lore specific lords. Makes it feel like a campaign where a victory means a new step towards that character getting a "name" but a defeat feels like a campaign match against a named lord.
Love the lizardmen, probably my favorite faction!
Great battle, can definitely see some potential in the umbral tide! Haven't seen them used too much. Interested to see a build that synergizes with them more

Gotta get as many of these Saurus Oldblood games in as possible before you drop him in favour of Nakai.
Nakai will be very slow so I doubt he will be very popular.

I haven't been a fan of the Ushabti summon since it dropped. It's a bit too much of an edge to just have by default any time you play Tomb Kings IMO.

hey turin i personally use the skink javvies over the cohort. If im not mistaken, they are the exact same statline and price, except the javvies have, well, javvies.

I think problem is when you try to duel Settra in the beginning, with this build of Windblast and Hunting Packs, you got much better AOE than the enemy so try to bait the Tomb Guard to clump up with Settra / Tomb Prince than blast em all, let the Dino tank the damage since Skinks can't take hit for shit. Also half this map is in water so your deployment should focus on the water side.

I'm trying to figure out where this really went south, but your opponent played really well so it's hard to see where things started to go wrong. I think the issue might've been going too wide and then putting all your heavy hitters on one flank since you were only able to buff that one flank and your opponent was able to counter that with Settra while winning all the other frontline engagements. Maybe it was also an issue with committing too early to a fight when you could've focused them down a bit more, or pulled back after being in frontline fight to heal a bit but it's really hard to say and I'm sure your opponent would've had an answer for anything you did in those regards, and probably would've been able to somewhat dodge the wind blasts (so you might have just needed different units like Saurus to win). Good game all around.
things went south when he focused the tomb princes instead of the solo setra and both his carnosaurs rampaged and were taken to half health.
@@kevinforget549 He could've recovered from that with the Bastilodon, so I don't think that was it. Even if that didn't happen as soon as his front line was taken down the two Carnosaurs wouldn't have saved him anyway so I think the issue lies in the troop fight rather than the Lord/Hero duels.
I feel like when your expressing whats happening, if you did close zoom-ups would be interesting to see ...
Lizardmen v Tomb Empire?
So what are everyone's thoughts on the new free dlc for Warhammer 2?
I quite like it, it's not that expensive, I mean maybe some find it expensive but I dont.
Also a cross game dlc opens the door for so so much more in the future.
The more ambitious they(CA) get the higher the chance we get an actual end game style dlc after game 3.
And while the ending for warhammer was lackluster to say the least, fighting at near impossible odds and with huge elite armies relative early on could be made so much fun.
More sub commanders plz
I don't think that red crested skinks are good choice in this matchup. Tomb guard is going to beat them down and there is no armor on TK infantry anyway, saurus are better choice imo. Also I believe in my boy Kroq-Gar, he is always serving me better than generic oldblood
Hmm, kind of expected to see another Lizardmen loss as that is all you can find anymore. I still don't see how ppl say they are powerful when everything I see demonstrates how much they suck. I hope this DLC and FLC will change that but I seriously doubt it.
Not to disagree with your point as I don't really know how good or bad the Lizard men are.
But these high level matches and players don't really show how good or how bad a faction is and they are being casted.
It's like many faction who often times get stunning victories in mere minutes often aren't shown, these include beastmen, chaos to a degree and empire because they often times aren't very fun to watch.
Not everyone might agree with the empire being on that list but if their combined arms come together they can make mince meat of an army in such short order it almost looks unfair.
So games cast and played by high level players aren't a good reference for how good or bad a faction is.
Why are you making my favorite 4 factions fight each other aka Tomb Kings, Lizardmen, Dark Elves and Vampire Counts...
