This is happenening to me and I am saying hello to a new job somewhere else ..... No means bye bye
Same deal, no raise this year, 5k bonus last year for joining....so I am 5k less in 2023....and inflation....more like 10k less in buying power.
Change jobs....any company that devalues the employee does not deserve your skills nor loyalty.
It’s time to leave that job. Those people are not people of their word. Why would you continue to work for someone who’s not a person of his word?
Start looking for another job, once you get that, say bye bye with smile😂

Definitely start looking, but you are also in a position where you can be picky. Dont accept the first thing that comes along with a pay rise. I moved jobs at the start of the pandemic, got a big raise by moving but ended up in a job that I hated. The warning signs were there at the beginning, but I ignored them because of $$$. If you are in a job you love and you consider moving, be picky and only move if the role feels right and that you will succeed in.
Never work for promises of wages in the future
Stuff a potatoe into the tailpipe on his car, keep doing this every three weeks until that raise comes through.
