If I understand your question correctly, there were a couple of ways shown in the video…you can group and move or use the timeline edit tool to lasso and select multiple objects.
Hello sir, first of all sincere thanks for this detailed video. I have a question though. Can i set different frame rates for different elements in same timelines on procreate dreams? For example, if i want to create an animation that has a character moving at 24 frames per second (FPS) and another character moving at 12 FPS in the timeline of the same project, is it possible? Because i animate with different technique by individually creating animated element and then merging all of them in editor. So, is it possible or expected to be possible in the future version?
I have the same doubt. I want to draw 12 FPS animation on top of a 24 FPS video. Within procreate it all plays at the same FPS. So I dont know if it will be possible in procreate dreams. I typically composite everything on after effects so that is what I will end up doing. Also you can just duplicate every layer to do 12 fps within 24 fps timeline as well. every frame plays twice and essentially is 12 fps.
@@andrewneet Mybe it is possible. They can make a feature to add a whole seperate secondary timeline panel in the same project beneath the main timeline panel. Note that it is not a new track, but a whole new timeline panel with different frame rate adjustment option and we can switch between the two timeline panels according to our work need. The main video will be exported according to the main primary timeline panel only. The secondary one will be only to add different elements with different frame rate of that secondary panel. We already do that in video editors when we add transparent .gif files or animated stickers on top of our videos. Those animated stickers gif files were created with different slower frame rates then the main 25 fps video, but in final export everything is rendered properly. I hope you are getting my idea. Maybe that's only possible as an idea and not practically but that would be really helpful and can easily replace my video editor for almost 95% of part. I dont want to have to change it to 12 frames per second.. I want some frames on 1s some frames on 2s some frames on 3s.. But manipulating framelenghts for drawings has been very difficult.
From what I gathered, content tracks are where you can draw on and animate frame-by-frame while video tracks are where you edit and animate through keyframe. You 👍
@@christianr.5868 not really…..according to Procreate and the little demonstration BeeJayDel did, I was able to extrapolate the idea of a video track to be a keyframe layer that doesn't really allow drawing except you open up the content track….since whatever you do on the content track can be grouped in other to utilize the video track embedded features. Toonsquid has something similar also.
Does this support image and text drag and drop support in split view or multi window , can we add multiple gif to our pockets and what about video overlays? Does this work as video editing app also? Thank you.
I am curious about the export options. Are you able to share what file types it can export to and if they can hold alpha? or how big the canvas can get to? excited for this. haven't been able to frame by frame draw for years given how expensive software has gotten
One very important thing is still missing i think I didn't see any option to export in .gif format. It is very important if i want to make any animation(like stickers) with transparent background.
@@Mrlonely-gs8ththere’s def a way to export as gif. You can even do that with normal procreate animation. I’d be super surprised if they didn’t include that in Dreams.

No “camera” feature per se….but you can achieve a similar effect by grouping everything and zooming/panning with the move tool and adjusting key frames.
True. I’m so used to the camera tools in storyboard pro that having to group everything first in procreate dreams feels like a lot of work for a simple thing.
And tested and rewatched video the thing with performance mode is strange the faster you move your pencil, the less your object is hona move and its nit exactly acurate to your motion either because it moves it like keyframes +10x+(-10x)=0x which is why it moves less as well

@@BeeJayDeL thanks for the quick answer! Tried the app quickly myself and it seemed 1) much harder to get into than my impression from all prerelease videos was, and 2) less mighty than I imagined it hoped it to be.
I was also hoping for some kind of camera node/control which I couldn't find yet...
I hope I find some more time to try it out in the future!
Where is the list ??
Plz tell i am not getting
Link is in the description to the page…near the bottom of the page you need to click on “Will my iPad be compatible with Procreate Dreams?” to expand the list.
Got it
Found it
Thanks a lot 🙃
how come i dont have that option of convert layers to track
Option is there…follow the steps exactly and try again?
yeah i did, we made a discussion on procreate help, it seemed a lot ofpeople did not have that option at all.@@BeeJayDeL
I jsut got procreate dreams. I'm excited to learn how to make a cartoon movies. I'm also looking forward to your tutorials on dreams as I followed you on the original procreate.
I dont want to have to change it to 12 frames per second.. I want some frames on 1s some frames on 2s some frames on 3s.. But manipulating framelenghts for drawings has been very difficult.
What are video and content tracks?
From what I gathered, content tracks are where you can draw on and animate frame-by-frame while video tracks are where you edit and animate through keyframe. You 👍
Video tracks are imported video I believe
@@christianr.5868 not really…..according to Procreate and the little demonstration BeeJayDel did, I was able to extrapolate the idea of a video track to be a keyframe layer that doesn't really allow drawing except you open up the content track….since whatever you do on the content track can be grouped in other to utilize the video track embedded features. Toonsquid has something similar also.
@@TMC3000yes but that would mean the highest end iPads could only have 4 of the keyframe layers. At least according to the website
Video tracks are imported videos, and content tracks are everything else. Have t tested, just watched all the videos out so far
Does this support image and text drag and drop support in split view or multi window , can we add multiple gif to our pockets and what about video overlays? Does this work as video editing app also? Thank you.
ya'll are spoiling us with there videos before release.🙌
And more to come! Thanks for watching!
@@LemonLoafEucharist No, there's not. I have downloaded the app and it is not there. .gif format and not having a lasso/selection tool in drawing mode are big downgrade, plus you can't adjust brush settings too. Hope they will add all these in future upgrades, rest the app is a revolutionary one for animators
I hope this Dreams puts Adobe gougeware out of buisiness and into slumber….with no dream
Fingers crossed for a “camera” feature where you can keyframe a camera as opposed to moving groups of layers
No “camera” feature per se….but you can achieve a similar effect by grouping everything and zooming/panning with the move tool and adjusting key frames.
True. I’m so used to the camera tools in storyboard pro that having to group everything first in procreate dreams feels like a lot of work for a simple thing.
And tested and rewatched video the thing with performance mode is strange the faster you move your pencil, the less your object is hona move and its nit exactly acurate to your motion either because it moves it like keyframes +10x+(-10x)=0x which is why it moves less as well
I’m patiently waiting for the iPad Pro 16 inch.
Me too….that would be awesome if the bigger rumors are true!
I'm wondering if you can have 2 frames appearing automatically instead of 1 frame for frame-by-frame animation
Can it import PNG Sequences? Thanks for this straight forward explanation of the program!
how can i remove the audio from the video?
Don’t believe there is an option for that currently (not as far as I can tell.)
Oh yes I'm getting it! Love procreate and a one time fee?!!! Yes thank you! I got enough monthly bills. Pre-ordered it. Really want to put some time in it
I cant wait to get this app!! Question, whats your favorite feature of the app so far? And what hopes do you have for this app in future updates? Cheers 😁
Can you slow performance mode time down to be more accurate
Great video! Can you import 3D-models from Procreate to Procreate Dreams?
Unfortunately not…it will act like it is importing but the track is left empty.
@@BeeJayDeL maybe in the future…
@@jacobiartthat’d be awesome for 3d camera movement!
We can go to the community to request and upvote these features…. let's help them help us! Bone rigging will be coming in upcoming updates, said the procreate team
@@TMC3000 Bond rigging is good news!
how do you export a layer from procreate dreams to procreate? It is essy the other way around to just drag a layer from procreate to procreate dreams, but the other way around doesn't work. 🤷🏻♀️
There would need to be an update to Procreate for that to work which hasn’t happened yet since the Dreams release…not sure if that is a planned feature or not
@@BeeJayDeLone workaround I found was to make only the wanted layer visible, including making the background transparent, and then exporting current frame to procreate.
Does anyone know If there is a way of using the action button to move a long background behind a character but keep it moving along a straight line and not just by hand?
I'm very excited for Procreate Dreams. Specially for the animation with a video file ☺️ Looks like a lot of fun 🤗
Damn dude! I watch a lot of your older vids (1+ years) and it looks like you have lost some weight since then, nice work!
Hahaha! Thanks!
I dont get it what does the track thingy mean?
It’s what an animation layer is called
Yeah…think of tracks almost as layers. Each individual piece of the timeline is a track.
