They're called "Mushroom peg joints" and most figures not only have them, but Ultra Magnus has them, and they're far easier to use to pop the legs off than the actual gimmick.

Apparently the Armada Thrust as ER Seeker mold was apparently the packaging artist having fun and to not pay to much mind to it, according to one the designers. Which could mean either we are getting a ER seeker Armada Thrust or we aren’t but it’s likely the idea is being considered.
one small correction on Frenzy. He was actually one of the least appearing decepticons in G1. Rumble however was one of the most appearing. So you are indeed right that the G1 used FIRRIB for more screentime than any other media. Though it was Rumble pulling the majority of that weight.
That honour goes to Buzzsaw if we’re going for characters who appeared more than once. Overkill, Slugfest, Sixshot and Runabout all share the same position of only appearing once.

But unlike the 86 Kup, who had pegs for that gimmick, the 86 Ultra Magnus will have those combiner ports so that the legs can actually lock in and thus won’t come undone so easily when you’re playing with the figure. Now I don’t know if the arms also have those combiner ports, but regardless those combiner ports are much more efficient for the “blown apart” gimmick than just pegs.
The Shattered Glass Sideswipe colors are “correct” though to be clear Since the original shattered glass Sideswipe was recolored from Armada Wheeljack since his silhouette resembled G1 Sideswipe to begin with Looking forward to the nova Prime if I can ever get my hands on it

Got alot to say so i will compound everything 1: SG sideswipe was originally a armada wheeljack repaint, so that explains why hes the pretool... 2: some of the photo photography has broken figures, specifically novaprimes right horn, kaskades right arm, and the right leg of nightbirds fucked (more info on NB below) 3: toy breakdown comes with a alt head of his toy 4: ultramagnus comboners are for a death gimmick (like 86 kup) 5: i think if they are going to reissue 86 rumble in any way, they should swap the names just to mess with people ):] 6: 86 ratchet shoulders matches his core class figure appearence 7: the stranger things crossover figure is important for the plot of season 4 Overall an ok batch of reveals, i am hyped that minicons are back, and that 86 magnus looks decent... *so nightbirds pins that allow ankle piviot and transformation joint are cracked and stressed, so beware for the final toys release...
When mpm bonecrusher was revealed, I realized that, other then ones I have, all of the other mpm decepticons are still readily available, so I've decided to make the great financial decision to get all the movie 1 decepticons Masterpiece figures, since now we just have to wait on brawl
I'll just say that I looked at the original Armada Wheeljack toy and that "other faction symbol" on the front of the car's hood is, in fact, there. And the way his autobot badge is "cut" is identical to Wheeljack's design as well. So this is just a pre-re-mold.
Yeah I was just flat out wrong about that. I looked back after this my self and I realized what I'd always kind of interpreted as a car Logo, like a Mazda M or something was actually a Con logo. So I was talking out my ass there a bit. But when I'm wrong I don't shy away from it. I will leave it up there for people to mock me on.

Toyhax will definitely give you a lot of what you're wanting minus the red head part. I got the Ironhide sticker set and they did an amazing job with fixing those details
And they won't do classics seekers that would actually be wanted, like sunstorm. But the mold is getting mold degradation. I found this out when I bought the dirge re-release, and the arm was pinned at a weird angle like it missed the hole. It still transforms but doesn't tab in. But hell I don't care, I completed both g1 seeker teams. I display Sandstorm as a Ramjet, didn't buy a ramjet because it would have just yellowed anyway, skip the middleman.

To be fair with the SG Sideswipe/Armada Wheeljack, we're definitely getting it as Armada Wheeljack, this is just their usual pre-tool stuff so they can sell an extra figure before we get the one most people want.
That 86 Ratchet is what I've been waiting for. Just got 86 Ironhide recently from a toy con and that suddenly got announced. Glad I missed out on the Siege and ER molds. SG Sideswipe is cool and all, but I'll be waiting for that eventual Legacy Armada Universe Wheeljack repaint. I'm down for that new Ultra Magnus, glad I missed on the Siege and Kingdom molds too. Gonna wait for price drops and sales for them
@@PerspectiveEnd I have Siege Ironhide in my collection, won't be selling him off anytime soon because I still like him. For Magnus, I'd go for playability over G1 model accuracy. Siege's truck alt mode is a neat homage, but the Kingdom is no excuse; to me personally, it's plain garbage (just like ER Ironhide/Ratchet, forced Earth modes where it doesn't belong or fit).
Yeah, sweet to see Hasbro actually making sure that anyone that couldn’t track down every member can now get them in one set. Granted they’re in their toy deco but still makes it feel more unique, plus we finally know now what that toy accurate Breakdown was meant for.
This SDCC had done much better than last year I feel more reveals and actual pre-orders went up, still a little annoyed that wave 4 of Evolution hadn’t gone up last week though. Armada Powerlinx Hot Shot & Jolt looks great to me, I know that I own the original release back in wave 1 but this is still something that I’d get. A little upset that Armada Thrust is potentially a slight retool of the ER seeker mould, just make him brand new! Pretty much only 86 SS Ratchet and Ultra Magnus have peaked much interests in the upcoming wave, everything else is mid to me. Finally IDW Nova Prime looks so cool, might get him soon?
I'm glad I was one of those people who were quick enough on the draw to show you those new reveals. Sorry about the shoddy picture quality though, they were just the first pictures of all of them I could find! XD Now, granted, out of all those, I think the only one's I'll get is the 86 Ultra Magnus and Ratchet because I tossed my Kingdom one when I heard about the listings and I started collecting after Earthrise so I couldn't get the two pack there, not like I wanted to though, that mould sucked.

San Diego Comic Con Transformers reveals were awesome. -Armada Universe Powerlinx Hot Shot and Jolt: Hot Shot in Hot Rod colors looks cool, he comes with the big guns from the later on in the Armada show, blast effects, and finally a minicon. And looks like Thrust is hinted to be in the Earthrise Seeker mold, which is fine. -Shattered Glass Rodimus and Sideswipe: Black/red/purple Hot Rod is already cool enough. But seeing the design for Sideswipe and his minicon Whisper, makes me excited because we're definitely getting a Armada Wheeljack and Wind Sheer later down the line. -Ascenticon Kaskade vs Senate Guard Autobot Javelin: Two IDW comic characters I didn't know existed, but really want in my collection. Like how Javelin uses the Studio Series BB Arcee mold, and Kaskade taking on the fembot mold from POTP is cool. -Nova Prime: The Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime mold got an awesome upgrade to Nova Prime. Really like how this turns out. -Stunticon combiner Menasor 5 pack: The Stunitcons are back, now in toy colors, which is cool. -Nacelle: Aside from Senator Shockwave, this is the 12th uses of the Siege Tetrajet mold, and I like this this Seeker looks. -Studio Series 86 Ultra Magnus: Hasbro release their first commander class figure for Studio Series, and Ultra Magnus looks awesome. I agree with you on the Stranger Things Crossover. While I have seen season 4 and I do think this new van mold looks cool (my fingers are very crossed for a Turtle Van and/or Mystery Machine), but the figure doesn't really have much iconography to the Show aside from the Energon Weapons(?) being both of Steve's weapons. It would've been cool if they had a somekind of Demogorgan (Maybe a remould of Cheetor that turns from Demogorgan to Demodog?). Better yet, maybe they could reuse the punch-counter punch mold, (based on Hopper's car or maybe Billy's cause they have the Camaro licence) and have the figure go from normal to an Upside Down version of itself?
Note about armada thrust on hot shot's packaging: designer Evan Brooks confirmed that thrust is not being released as a retool of the ER figure, they had no plans to release an armada thrust and it was just the packaging team having fun. There's still hope that we get a new mold for him!
@@PerspectiveEnd my working theory is that the main conehead part was a pre-made asset from one of the refresh boxes, and the design team just made a few tweaks with the wings and put it on the box. With the way they've been making the armada figures I'm inclined to believe we'll get a new mold of him rather than a half-assed conehead retool.

The funny thing is that the High Moon games, which you utterly despise, are the only modern media that actually HAD Frenzy and Rumble in the correct colors, Frenzy was red and Rumble was blue. I guess that’s one win for them.

Yeah, they have been really weird about how the release these repaints. I mean a MILLION versions of figures that no one knows, but like no version till now of Armada Wheeljack.
I kinda feel they're just going back through the siege and ss86 mold lists and giving us battle damaged variants of the molds with minor alterations as their latest cost cut cash grab. And now I'm trying to think what other characters were more memorable for their damaged chassis look.
I mean, SG Sideswipe is one of my favorite SG characters and he used the Armada Wheeljack mold so it makes sense. And if him getting the mold first and then we get an Armada Jackie later that’s fine by me
The New Magnus figure looks amazing. I'm glad I held off on the other figures of his. I'm down for the new Hotshot too. I didn't think I needed the redeco, but damn it looks so good. I'm disappointed about Armada Thrust. He needs his own new mould. He was one of my favourite characters from that series

I really wish they started doing commander classes earlier in studio series, because characters like grimlock, Jetfire and unicycle guy definitely are in that scale. For next year they should do a tfp predaking for legacy and a commander class 86 optimus prime, with a proper trailer, roller, ion blaster and everything

For the designs, I like the idea of the old characters being based off their G1 designs, but also adding a little bit of extra flavor to it, I have the new characters well to quote a favorite toy review the good thing about original characters is you don’t have to worry about who they used to be or something along those lines. Also, am I the only one that sees soundwaves Alternative mode looking like your logo? I know he turns into a self bomber, but still.

4: ultramagnus comboners are for a death gimmick (like 86 kup)
5: i think if they are going to reissue 86 rumble in any way, they should swap the names just to mess with people ):]
6: 86 ratchet shoulders matches his core class figure appearence
7: the stranger things crossover figure is important for the plot of season 4

When mpm bonecrusher was revealed, I realized that, other then ones I have, all of the other mpm decepticons are still readily available, so I've decided to make the great financial decision to get all the movie 1 decepticons Masterpiece figures, since now we just have to wait on brawl
I'll just say that I looked at the original Armada Wheeljack toy and that "other faction symbol" on the front of the car's hood is, in fact, there. And the way his autobot badge is "cut" is identical to Wheeljack's design as well. So this is just a pre-re-mold.
Yeah I was just flat out wrong about that. I looked back after this my self and I realized what I'd always kind of interpreted as a car Logo, like a Mazda M or something was actually a Con logo. So I was talking out my ass there a bit.
But when I'm wrong I don't shy away from it. I will leave it up there for people to mock me on.

Toyhax will definitely give you a lot of what you're wanting minus the red head part. I got the Ironhide sticker set and they did an amazing job with fixing those details
It's funny how Ratchet having a Red head is a big deal when the figure didn't even have a head.
And they won't do classics seekers that would actually be wanted, like sunstorm. But the mold is getting mold degradation. I found this out when I bought the dirge re-release, and the arm was pinned at a weird angle like it missed the hole. It still transforms but doesn't tab in. But hell I don't care, I completed both g1 seeker teams. I display Sandstorm as a Ramjet, didn't buy a ramjet because it would have just yellowed anyway, skip the middleman.
To be fair they did a Sunstorm with the Siege one.

Having the bumblebee movie arcee as javlin makes it weird as she looks more like a prime character than the prime character themselves
Not the first time a non-Generations Arcee mold was used in Generations to make another character.
I do feel you on that, Javelin had a very different design in the comics, and all of them deserve better than just a Retool, but I will take a Retool if I have to.

To be fair with the SG Sideswipe/Armada Wheeljack, we're definitely getting it as Armada Wheeljack, this is just their usual pre-tool stuff so they can sell an extra figure before we get the one most people want.

That 86 Ratchet is what I've been waiting for. Just got 86 Ironhide recently from a toy con and that suddenly got announced. Glad I missed out on the Siege and ER molds. SG Sideswipe is cool and all, but I'll be waiting for that eventual Legacy Armada Universe Wheeljack repaint. I'm down for that new Ultra Magnus, glad I missed on the Siege and Kingdom molds too. Gonna wait for price drops and sales for them

I have Siege Ironhide in my collection, won't be selling him off anytime soon because I still like him.
For Magnus, I'd go for playability over G1 model accuracy. Siege's truck alt mode is a neat homage, but the Kingdom is no excuse; to me personally, it's plain garbage (just like ER Ironhide/Ratchet, forced Earth modes where it doesn't belong or fit).

Yeah, sweet to see Hasbro actually making sure that anyone that couldn’t track down every member can now get them in one set. Granted they’re in their toy deco but still makes it feel more unique, plus we finally know now what that toy accurate Breakdown was meant for.
This SDCC had done much better than last year I feel more reveals and actual pre-orders went up, still a little annoyed that wave 4 of Evolution hadn’t gone up last week though. Armada Powerlinx Hot Shot & Jolt looks great to me, I know that I own the original release back in wave 1 but this is still something that I’d get. A little upset that Armada Thrust is potentially a slight retool of the ER seeker mould, just make him brand new!
Pretty much only 86 SS Ratchet and Ultra Magnus have peaked much interests in the upcoming wave, everything else is mid to me. Finally IDW Nova Prime looks so cool, might get him soon?
I didn't even remember that they did it at all last year. This year they definitely pulled out all the stops.

San Diego Comic Con Transformers reveals were awesome.
-Armada Universe Powerlinx Hot Shot and Jolt: Hot Shot in Hot Rod colors looks cool, he comes with the big guns from the later on in the Armada show, blast effects, and finally a minicon. And looks like Thrust is hinted to be in the Earthrise Seeker mold, which is fine.
-Shattered Glass Rodimus and Sideswipe: Black/red/purple Hot Rod is already cool enough. But seeing the design for Sideswipe and his minicon Whisper, makes me excited because we're definitely getting a Armada Wheeljack and Wind Sheer later down the line.
-Ascenticon Kaskade vs Senate Guard Autobot Javelin: Two IDW comic characters I didn't know existed, but really want in my collection. Like how Javelin uses the Studio Series BB Arcee mold, and Kaskade taking on the fembot mold from POTP is cool.
-Nova Prime: The Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime mold got an awesome upgrade to Nova Prime. Really like how this turns out.
-Stunticon combiner Menasor 5 pack: The Stunitcons are back, now in toy colors, which is cool.
-Nacelle: Aside from Senator Shockwave, this is the 12th uses of the Siege Tetrajet mold, and I like this this Seeker looks.
-Studio Series 86 Ultra Magnus: Hasbro release their first commander class figure for Studio Series, and Ultra Magnus looks awesome. Wasn't really a fan of the white Optimus in Ultra Magnus armor, so this really awesome.
-Frenzy(red): Soon he will join his twin Rumble(blue) in the Transformers collection.
-ROTB Noah exo-suit: The core class figure speaks for himself.
-ROTB Nightbird: Not as sleek as her movie appearance or character render on her box, but I'll get her to complete my Terrorcon faction.
--Edit: Novakane was also revealed. He's Freezer but with head damage by his left eyes. Still cool, looking forward to getting the little guy to further complete the Terrorcon faction.
-Transformers 2007 15th Anniversary Decepticon box set. This is cool, but I wish Brawl is in this set too. He was part of the Mission City battle.
-Studio Series 86 Ratchet: Looks great, looking forward to having him side by side with 86 Ironhide.
-Haslab Deathsaurus: Is cool, looking forward to the reviews on this Emperor of Destruction from Transformers Victory.
-Transformers crossover with Stranger Things: Not familiar with the show, but hope fans enjoy this Pizza Delivery van Transformer

I agree with you on the Stranger Things Crossover. While I have seen season 4 and I do think this new van mold looks cool (my fingers are very crossed for a Turtle Van and/or Mystery Machine), but the figure doesn't really have much iconography to the Show aside from the Energon Weapons(?) being both of Steve's weapons.
It would've been cool if they had a somekind of Demogorgan (Maybe a remould of Cheetor that turns from Demogorgan to Demodog?). Better yet, maybe they could reuse the punch-counter punch mold, (based on Hopper's car or maybe Billy's cause they have the Camaro licence) and have the figure go from normal to an Upside Down version of itself?

Note about armada thrust on hot shot's packaging: designer Evan Brooks confirmed that thrust is not being released as a retool of the ER figure, they had no plans to release an armada thrust and it was just the packaging team having fun. There's still hope that we get a new mold for him!
I hope Kingdom Cyclonus gets used as a basis for a future Armada Thrust. Getting sick of the Siege/ER Seeker tooling by now.

@@PerspectiveEnd my working theory is that the main conehead part was a pre-made asset from one of the refresh boxes, and the design team just made a few tweaks with the wings and put it on the box. With the way they've been making the armada figures I'm inclined to believe we'll get a new mold of him rather than a half-assed conehead retool.

One more thing- I think contrary to what everyone says, Ultra Magnus IS going to have a smaller robot mode TVEN THOUGH IT ISN'T SHOWN, which I think will be neat

The funny thing is that the High Moon games, which you utterly despise, are the only modern media that actually HAD Frenzy and Rumble in the correct colors, Frenzy was red and Rumble was blue. I guess that’s one win for them.
I don't despise those games. I just don't think they are very good. Only one level between the two really lived up to the concept.

Yeah, they have been really weird about how the release these repaints. I mean a MILLION versions of figures that no one knows, but like no version till now of Armada Wheeljack.
I kinda feel they're just going back through the siege and ss86 mold lists and giving us battle damaged variants of the molds with minor alterations as their latest cost cut cash grab.
And now I'm trying to think what other characters were more memorable for their damaged chassis look.

The New Magnus figure looks amazing. I'm glad I held off on the other figures of his. I'm down for the new Hotshot too. I didn't think I needed the redeco, but damn it looks so good. I'm disappointed about Armada Thrust. He needs his own new mould. He was one of my favourite characters from that series
Magnus looks fantastic, and yeah you made a good decision holding off, because now I bet you, you could get one for cheap if you did wind up wanting one, which you probably don't, but at least you don't need to sell one now.
I had some hopes that studio series Nightbird will get a little bit of that jet Shatter treatment, but they chose the wrong part of jet Shatter.

I really wish they started doing commander classes earlier in studio series, because characters like grimlock, Jetfire and unicycle guy definitely are in that scale. For next year they should do a tfp predaking for legacy and a commander class 86 optimus prime, with a proper trailer, roller, ion blaster and everything

Question of the comments, what do you personally think of transformers, earthspark? Considering Nickelodeon also made avatar the last Airbender and SpongeBob SquarePants I like it. For the designs, I like the idea of the old characters being based off their G1 designs, but also adding a little bit of extra flavor to it, I have the new characters well to quote a favorite toy review the good thing about original characters is you don’t have to worry about who they used to be or something along those lines. Also, am I the only one that sees soundwaves Alternative mode looking like your logo? I know he turns into a self bomber, but still.
