Final Destination is the only movie that has made me ask my pastor. “So let’s just say hypothetically you have a prophetic dream that something bad will happen to you and you pretend to have a panic attack to avoid it. Since only God knows our thoughts, would He clue in the Angel of D€@th that it is still our time or would we have to audibly acknowledge we are trying to avoid our end to be in danger again?”
Well what did he say ? Once I asked a priest why children have to go thru the hell of getting cancer. It seems extremely cruel to me. When he explained he said its not Gods intention for them to suffer. Life is a gamble from the day were born. It still seems unfair as hell. Heartbreaking
@@41663 Yeah the pastor of my parish is a priest too and he practically answered like Bludworth. the twist ending made me realize that in this universe, death has been chasing teens for a long time now cuz the mortician told them that bit at the beginning. weird stuff 😂
My most favorite horror franchise, no ghost, so serial killers, its death, everyone will experience it, no escape from it, it's the universal truth, truly scary.
Whenever I watch these types of retrospectives I am amazed to see that none of the 'trivia' (logs don't bounce, for example) are things I I have never noticed and once seeing them don't care. There must be something wrong with me because whenever I watch a film, I suspend my disbelief and imagine what it would be like in those situations. I watch films and read books in order to escape the cares of real life for a bit. People who watch films in order to pick them apart are the ones I feel sorry for since they can't immerse themselves in the stories.
What always got me about this series is the universe. Some people are saved in rather simple ways, which would happen every day, so wouldn't people dying in horrific ways just be a normal thing in this universe?
I do enjoy these movies. But funny thing is the amount of changes death would have to do is infinite. Think about, you survive the plane crash when you were meant to die. Imagine every little thing you after this is messing with everything, all your interactions after surviving will stop others things happening and thus causing more people to not die when they were meant to. Still, i love the movies, they are just so much fun.
Exactly. Same with time travel movies. Just travelling through time will change everything because you're made of trillions and trillions of atoms. They interact with the world, eventually the world will be completely and totally different. Although at least in these it seems that death decides when you die so at least he can just say not today and adjust.
The interior shots of the plane crash flash into my head every time I fly. EVERY. TIME. Not to mention the logging truck accident that made me a better driver…And tanning bed scene?! Or the falling glass scene?!? omg. Hell no. I’ve had that same fear since I was 15. I’ve only seen the first 3 (I think…) should I find em all?
I went on a rollercoaster the other day and as it pulled away the attendant called after us “have you seen final destination?” Really made me laugh haha. It really has stuck in everyone’s minds.
It’s so upsetting now with how long the new film has taken that we won’t be able to get more Tony Todd in the final destination franchised. He was already sorely missed is the films he wasn’t in as it was.
I'm surprised the 2nd one didn't have higher scores and ratings. It's a classic. But i'm really surprised to hear that the fourth one wasn't liked by some. It's much better than the 3rd one to me.
That second one was kinda chilling for my auntie as she had a, "bad feeling" about a lane of traffic she was once in and were it not for her urging my uncle to get out of it they would have been involved in the huge pileup which happened there moments later. She told me this in 1998 and she is still here so there was no list sisuation going on like in the films 😁
I just rewatched these a few days ago after watching this vid with the deleted scenes (got the dvd box set). The thing about 4 is some of the stuff they cut was GOOD stuff. Hunt's death for instance; still not a top tier one, but it had a bunch more elements of things going on that caused it. The track crash in the beginning had a really good practical fire stunt they cut; all sorts of things.
You'd have to really screw up a Final Destination movie for me to not be interesting in more movies from the series. They're all pretty enjoyable just for the unique kills
The final final final destination movie if didn’t end the way it did with the airplane scene. Showing the OG cast from the first one I would consider that to be one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen since being able to comprehend what a movie was. The ending actually saved it surprisingly.
@@Slim45ThaProducer watch movies like Dead Clowns and The Mailman to truly experience a terrible movie. It'll make any horror movie look like The Thing.
@@thecunninlynguist part 3 I believe. That's a great movie too. One of the best. Also part 3 on Blu-ray has a version that you can alter the way things play out. Things go differently in the movie depending on what options you pick.
Final Destination 5's gymnast scene is the one that scars me the most. No, not because I do anything related to gymnastics. It's all because of that one screw and the feet dancing around it. They do say you connect a lot more when you've lived something similar to what you're watching....
I'm only about 2 mins into the doc, but I wanted to mention that Final Destination 5 has -THE- most insane twist ending I ever seen, I didn't see it coming at all, and when it happened, I let out an audible gasp. I think it helped that because its not necesarily a very popular movie, plus it's 5 movies deep within a franchise, so I didnt even know there was a twist. I dont wanna give anything away, but there were clue through out the movie, but I 100% wrote them off and didnt give them a second thought- like the phones. lol.
I had huge crush on AJ Cook around this time, she was not unknown actress as she already had critical acclaim with Virgin Suicides and she was lead of several movies, most interesting to us being two horror movies, Ripper Letter from Hell and Wishmaster 3. She also did modeling, so yeah, she was definitively not unknown. Later on she got her role in Criminal Minds which pretty much made her world-wide known, but you know, if you love horror movies, good chance you already knew who she was because of Ripper and Wishmaster 3.
Clear's hair might have been because she was a natural blonde (I'm not sure if the actor is blonde or not) and obviously she's not going out to have her hair dyed all the time. And dying her own hair in a cell like that is inviting Death with open arms.
Took me a while to recover from the roller coaster one. I enjoyed them as a kid then watched that movie in theaters. Couple years until my brain reset lmao
Knowing that the original concept was to be an episode of the X files. I’m just a little upset to never got that. Imagine Mulder believing some other worldly act and Scully trying and failing to come up with scientific reasons for so many deaths occurring.
As much as I say, “not another one”, every time I heard about a new sequel, I always end up watching and enjoying them for the most part 😂. The premise will always be relatable and interesting

Tea's gone cold
Tod's death in the bathtub traumatized me for forever. I'm still hesitant of getting into a tub
I went on a rollercoaster the other day and as it pulled away the attendant called after us “have you seen final destination?” Really made me laugh haha. It really has stuck in everyone’s minds.
Holy crap didn’t realize 5 came out before I was in highschool I coulda sworn me and my buddies watched 5 in theatre 😂
It’s so upsetting now with how long the new film has taken that we won’t be able to get more Tony Todd in the final destination franchised. He was already sorely missed is the films he wasn’t in as it was.
True story.
I drive like a prat after watching a Fast & Furious movie at the cinema
After watching this, I crawl along like I'm driving Miss Daisy
Crossover Film when? "Fast N' Final Destination?"
@@dubuyajay9964 tbf, if you applied Final Destination logic to F&F 4 onwards, all 8bn people on earth would be dead by now
28:55 pretty cool. Saw it on the DVD I borrowed from the library
Joblo, please only use Tyler for your narrations, he’s by far your best 🙌🙏❤️
I will say that the Final Destination 5 poster did screw with me a bit as a kid, I always avoided looking at whenever I saw it 🤣
i still love the shadow foreshadowing from FD2. I wish they brought that back cuz it's hella creepy.
Wym?
I'm surprised the 2nd one didn't have higher scores and ratings. It's a classic. But i'm really surprised to hear that the fourth one wasn't liked by some. It's much better than the 3rd one to me.
That second one was kinda chilling for my auntie as she had a, "bad feeling" about a lane of traffic she was once in and were it not for her urging my uncle to get out of it they would have been involved in the huge pileup which happened there moments later. She told me this in 1998 and she is still here so there was no list sisuation going on like in the films 😁
The live bridge that collapsed this year screamed Final Destination
This franchise was peak 'so bad it's good' movies
I just rewatched these a few days ago after watching this vid with the deleted scenes (got the dvd box set). The thing about 4 is some of the stuff they cut was GOOD stuff. Hunt's death for instance; still not a top tier one, but it had a bunch more elements of things going on that caused it. The track crash in the beginning had a really good practical fire stunt they cut; all sorts of things.
These were all legit good
You'd have to really screw up a Final Destination movie for me to not be interesting in more movies from the series.
You must haven't watched many horror movies to even consider it one of the worst. I've watched at least 5 worse movies this month.
@@gunnerdom78 I’ve seen em all even the devil inside which is probably your favorite
@@Slim45ThaProducer watch movies like Dead Clowns and The Mailman to truly experience a terrible movie. It'll make any horror movie look like The Thing.
•Also agree that FD3 came out firing with tanning bed & fast food.
•FD5🐐 FD4 the worst lol
I drove behind a logging truck on a narrow Appalachian road on a road trip in August. 💀 The way I passed that thing so fast…
Always been the “Final Destination > Saw” guy !!🔥🔥
Nobody has ever looked at a log truck the same way again.
i've only really seen the first one..but i always liked the premise.
The second one is where it gets better in my opinion. It has better pacing and gore and more elaborate scenarios. You must watch it.
@@1978pq which one has the tanning bed death? I remember watching some of it on FX, lol.
@@thecunninlynguist part 3 I believe. That's a great movie too. One of the best. Also part 3 on Blu-ray has a version that you can alter the way things play out. Things go differently in the movie depending on what options you pick.
watch the rest of them! the 3rd one is amazing
Final Destination 5's gymnast scene is the one that scars me the most. No, not because I do anything related to gymnastics. It's all because of that one screw and the feet dancing around it. They do say you connect a lot more when you've lived something similar to what you're watching....
Oh how long i've been waiting for a Final Destination Retrospective
Can you do a video on Terror Tract (2000) and The Call (2020 with Tobin Bell)?
Clear was a blonde at the end of the 1st movie in Paris
The second movie has me terrified to be driving anywhere near a rig.
I dont wanna give anything away, but there were clue through out the movie, but I 100% wrote them off and didnt give them a second thought- like the phones. lol.
I don't remember a single scene or actor from the 5th movie 😂
I did not realize the time period in the movie now I’m gonna re watch the series starting with 5 first
The scores are crazy man
Iconic movies tbh
Final destination 3 is easily the best one IMO
Fun fact: TC Carson also was The original voice of Kratos from God of war
To this day I never drive behind big trucks or anything carrying loose objects.
Knowing that the original concept was to be an episode of the X files. I’m just a little upset to never got that. Imagine Mulder believing some other worldly act and Scully trying and failing to come up with scientific reasons for so many deaths occurring.
