New Blood is my favorite Jason/ Zombie jason in the franchise. The design and makeup up effects is awesome and incredibly bad ass and kane hodder truly brings the character to life. Just so f***in siiickening in every aspect 🤘🏼
VII is a great one. It was fun to see Jason confused and angry by someone who can actually hurt him. VI is my favorite, the script is so much better than the rest, the tone is so much fun, and all the Universal film tributes made me so happy. I also like that there is no nudity. And that image of him on the RV like the introduction of John Wayne in STAGECOACH!
Zombie Jason is when he became fun. Manhattan has some deserved criticism, especially since 80% of the film is on that damn boat, then New Yorkanda...but it's a fun film. That intro is iconic, with that monologue and kick ass Metropolis song. I'm weird, but films like JTM made me wanna move to NYC, lol. I think if they were able to negotiate the rights, Jason vs Carrie would've been fun...but what we got was cool.
I don't care what anyone says, I love this campy film. Like you said it's fun. I watch it yearly during October to this day. Also it's my favorite rendition of Zombie Jason. That mask with Kane Hodder's excellent portrayal makes him very intimidating in this movie. And also we can't forget to mention the greatest F13th scene in history: the rooftop boxing scene.
I’ll never forget my cousin showing me the scene of Jason knocking Julius’s head clean off in Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan! I thought it was so bad ass lol 🥊 I must’ve been 11. He had a whole closet filled from top to bottom of vhs 📼 tapes. Rip Sid the Squid. Another time, I rented Friday the 13th Part 3-D when I was about 15 yrs old and “discovered” that’s the film be finally wore the famous hockey mask. I felt like I knew some top secret information. This was before TH-cam, social media etc. great times! 📺
I think Michael has that record now. Unless you're counting the space station casualties in Jason X. Even in that case I believe the invisible man has an even higher body count. It's all pretty muddy and I wish someone could provide a definitive answer to who has the biggest body count.
Not that it matters or that it’s still weighs on my brain lol but a few Friday nights ago on a live stream I lost out on a box set of Friday the 13th Blu-rays because I incorrectly named the number of people who played Jason. Even though in this movie, “Dan Bradly” Jason wasn’t credited for a triple decapitation, but I was told that that actor wasn’t technically credited, but I mean come on!!! the dude does one of the most infamous kills in the entire series.not that I’m bitter but maybe one day I will get my box set of Friday the 13th. Keep the great content coming. I love this stuff.
This is probably my favorite one of the 80s Fri. 13th. I remember watching it on spike tv as kid. Miss those early2000s days. I always remember the megans dad sheriff get bent backwards haha
For Jason Lives, all you have to do is change an 'i' to an 'o' and you have a totally different movie...One man's tragic story to find love in a world that doesn't want him...Like Man without A Face.
Ive always thought this was the best one. When you have an unkillable zombie, how does an axe to the head work? You need someone that can go toe to toe with Jason. Thats what Tina did. Also the sleeping bag kill. Love it!
The Final Chapter will always be my favorite film of the franchise. It’s phenomenal and can defiantly be seen as a great end to the franchise and it was a great ending to the entire franchise for the 2 seconds Paramount meant it until it started making a lot of money at which point, they realized they should keep making more films in the franchise to keep the money coming in. Jason Lives is my second favorite film of the franchise. I enjoy it as a conclusion to the Tommy Jarvis trilogy that began with The Final Chapter, but I’ve always gone back to Part IV more than any other film in the franchise as I’ve always liked the characters in that film more than any other film in the franchise. Also Ted White did an excellent job as Jason Voorhees, but C.J. Graham was great as was Kane Hodder later on.
The best thing Jason does is hurl previous victims thru windows so he can scare the shit outta his next victim while also breaching/creating an access point. The man is an innovator.
Goddamnit! Yes, Bernie Lomax from “Weekend At Bernie’s”. All this damn time I’ve seen both movies numerous times & was like what other movie have I seen him in?
If someone needs to wet their appetite for a Friday the 13th movies there are some good fan films. "Never Hike Alone", "Never Hike in the Snow", "Never Hike Alone 2" and "MICHAEL vs JASON: Evil Emerges"
I personally like that one more than a lot of the other Fridays. The make up fx were better there than any other friday. The grisly deaths were back. Personally liked that there was more to the protaginists story than just "we came to camp". Heck if that movie were shot without the body swapping It probably would be remembered as one of the best rather than possibly the worst.

Part 5 felt like porn because they hired a porn director. But even though I'm not a fan of nudity, I thoroughly enjoyed it. My three favorite Fridays are parts 6, 7 and 5; in that order.
7,6,4,3 in that order of faves for me(leaving out my other 2 faves: FvsJ & F13’09). 7 is my favorite look but 6 is a perfect f13 film. Jason crashing through the window in the end of 2 was just a dream sequence. Beginning of pt3 takes us back to his shack with them leaving him. So the way I see it he never had the hair or scruff. And of course 2,3, & 4 take place within a few consecutive days.
My understanding of why Jason doesn't bother the Jarvis family "for a long time" was that he was dead up until the end of part 1, then when his mom dies he was brought back (Tam Savini's theory), when the Packanack camp was set up 5 years later it triggered him, and 2-4 take place across one long weekend (possibly Memorial Day).
Part 5 is underrated and it has loads of tits in it, always liked the movie. Oh and the final girl in 5 is stunning (Melanie Kinnaman) She still looks great, aged really well. Beautiful lady.
They need to bring back smth like New Blood Jason. With a different design it'd be so cool & goated but a more modern, & realistic look like back then. Best version of Zombie Jason & 2nd best version of Jason behind the remake.
At the risk of being a farthead, I want to note that Ron Palillo is not the only link to “Welcome Back Kotter in Jason Lives!” Tom Fridley, who played Cort, is John Travolta’s nephew.

I'm old enough to remember when Jason Lives was the black sheep of the franchise. And even 9 isn't bad, it's just not a Friday movie. There's a lot to like there if it were in its own movie. I liked Creighton Duke, I like the idea of a body swapping demon, I like the idea of a killer who leaps from person to person and the tension that you can do with that. Look at Fallen with Denzel, it's one of his best movies and that is the basic premise. There's a lot there that would have been good if it weren't shoehorned in to a Jason movie. I like Adam Marcus, I just think he got too excited about trying to fanfic Jason into the Evil Dead mythos with Jason Goes To Hell.
If part 2 and 3 take place back to back days, how did jason mess with chris out in the woods wearing his gear he got from the shopkeeper off the clothes line, then going back to the overalls and sack on his head with the long hair.
