Ive removed that fuel bowl and replaced fuel lines....prob on 5 different occasions. U r the only one ive seen in these vids who checked that fuel regulator screen on the driver's side of fuel bowl housing. 12:12 Its something Ive never checked and plan on as soon as it stops raining. U did a nice job. Shows u have some great common sense. I wish i had more of your ability. Good luck w what u do. Thanks. Owner 96 reg cab power stroke. 350k +-.
Jinx or coincidence? This video motivated me to hunt down a fuel leak I have in the valley (I knew for sure it was a hose). Turns out it is a fuel pump, UHG! I'm saving for a new pump to order online. You make it seem so easy! I'll be rehearsing my cuss words and mailing out flyers to my neighbors to warn them of the day when I swap it out. I don't have patience like I use to but this to shall pass. Thanks!
Good job! Mines leaking from the weep hole , the only thing that worries me is losing that rod 12:34 from the bottom of the pump ! I’ve seen other videos and yours is at the top👍🇨🇦
I changed my fuel pump...PITA! Mine is Cali model for the extra PITA!... No cat hair in the valley? Looks good and sounds good! I converted drums to disc in the spring...now it rusts much nicer out front...Thanks!
I have an 03... my lift pump is under the frame rail. Which is good because there's even more crap on the valley on mine. When I had diesel in the valley last year, it was the fuel bowl drain valve. Tried replacing the o-rings, but had to get a full dran valve kit to get it to fully stop leaking.
I broke off the whole bottom of the lift pump off in the block. The aluminum body as well as the lifter. Sheared it straight across where the O-ring is. I pushed it down into the block, fished out the O-ring with a hooked piece of wire, and garbed the busted off lifter with a pare of needle nose v-grips, wiggled it around and pulled the 2 busted parts out... I have picture. FYI the lifter push rod wont drop out, Its 3 inches long. Best not to bust the whole thing off, but if you do it's not the end of the world:)
@@valanderson9739 ...Thanks Val! I did have a good time. It's hard to come back to this shell of a life I'm living...I'll fool myself back in to thinking all is well...Thanks!
Fuel can leak from the fuel sensor on the side of the fuel bowl. If it's leaking it also makes it way to the valley and down the back of the motor. The same way a leak the fuel pump leaks
I have a 95 F-350 crew cab lwb dually with the 7.3 powerstroke turbo diesel , I love but with Bidenflation I can't drive it like I would like due to cost of diesel. 186,000 and going strong though.

How you keep the rod not coming out of the bottom of the pump and losing it
