I’m still confused on the perk. Deliverance can work just based on the wording of the perk. The perk states you take a hook state from the person on hook. So let’s say you got hooked once already. But now that person on the hook is on death hook and can be tunneled. Unless im getting the wording of this perk wrong then someone please tell me. @@shadowking1448i think you misunderstood the perk’s wording slightly, in your example if you’ve been hooked once and you go and unhook that other survivor on their first hook and use the perk, it then takes away their hook stage and gives it to you instead, leaving them with 0 hook stages and you at 2 edit: the deliverance point also applies if you start with 0 hook stages because if you use it then, you’re putting yourself at 1 hook stage which means the next time you get hooked you’ll be in struggle phase
Scott I would like to say that you completely misunderstood the Demogorgon add-on changes. All the add-ons were nerfed. The base-kit changes did not affect sealing time at all but all the add-ons had their sealing time increase nerfed.
I’m pretty sure the intention here was to kill the playstyle where demo would aggressively camp hex totems with lifeguard whistle and sealing addons. Or maybe they think the portal buffs made them more useful so they need their lethality reduced?
All shaking is somewhat better than it seems because it doesn’t get used up when you swing, so you can get multiple long swings with the effect in the 16secs
It's always cool when a game's community slang words become actual terms used by the developers. Also, i am *very* surprised that they, effectively, didn't touch the tombstone addons.
I'm glad Wesker got a buff, they destroyed his slowdown last patch. still no fucking anti camp on HUD, I don't know why you add a feature then never actually make it viable in the situation it is needed
$10 says they took away Lifeguard Whistle's effect after seeing SpookyLoop's latest video about Demogorgon and it's ability to keep Devour Hope up literally forever with that add-on
Ghost Face doesn't need that change, he needs rewards for Marked downs, or punishments for being revealed. Since they made the change that you can't reveal Ghosty once Marked by him, a reveal punishment would make the most sense and be easiest to apply. A simple 8-10% hindered on reveal for however long the Killer Instinct duration slows people down a bit, doesn't stealth Freddy/Clown Medium vault conversion, and makes the Killer Instinct add-ons not useless. Alternatively, giving a lesser Gift of Pain would be perfect for a Marked Down 'buff'. Healing takes time, but you are 1-hit against a stealth Killer. So you can take the time to play safe (as you can keep an eye out to prevent being Marked) at a mild gen slowdown (5-8%?), or don't have a redbar and risk an easy injured down. They could even allow you to remove the debuff if you reveal Ghosty, encouraging more interaction between opposing players.
Yes, for anyone who hasn't seen, SpookyLoopz just did a vid on this like 3 days ago. Basically, the notification when a survivor is near a portal [without having to charge your power] and putting a portal near a powerful totem (Devour Hope) made it near-impossible for survivors to cleanse that totem, removing the only survivor counterplay to strong hex perks like Devour Hope. You were just dead. So they're removing that "notify without charging power" feature of the add-on
Spookyloopz new video got it nerfed. Dbd devs are literally incompetent and using TH-cam videos and twitch streamers to determine balance rather than playing the fucking game 💀
Scourge Hook Jagged Compass has interesting synergy with a couple of other Scourge Hook perks: - With Hangman’s Trick adding new Scourge Hooks to the map extends Hangman’s aura reading area when you carry survivors. With just a few hooks you could cover significantly more of the map for possible aura reads. You could even combine both with Monstrous Shrine and get the basement hooks added as an aura area as well. - Jagged Compass apparently triggers before the other unhook perks, so if you combine it with Gift of Pain or Floods of Rage then those will trigger on ANY hook because with Jagged Compass all hooks become Scourge Hooks the moment someone is unhooked.
words cannot express how completely they killed my hype for the myer's buffs when they in their infinite wisdom added a nerf to scratched mirror. what was even the point of buffing tier one's speed since you now spend basically no time in it unless you're doing stealth myer's? Why would they add an unnecessary debuff to the ptb version when they should have just let it ride to see it if would remotely be a problem for a 110 stealth to exist. it wouldn't. 110 is pain to loop with and I assume he still have the useless tier one lunge.
We have chucky as proof of the strength of a 110 stealth killer. In short its not op. Maybe they were worried about mirror Myers at 110 being a menace to solo Q on lery's? idk
They effectively didn't do shit to scratched mirror Myers. Anything good or bad. And honestly? The playstyle doesn't need the 110%. You are permanently sneaky, which is strong on it's own, and you have ridiculous wallhacks to hit people with positioning.
FYI Shoulder the Burden isn’t compatible with Deliverance because when you use the perk you instantly gain a hook state and Deliverance only works on your first hook. So it’s impossible to Shoulder someone else and then if you get hooked right away use Deliverance to get yourself off the hook since you’ll already be on your second hook (or death hook if you shouldered when you had one already.)
I woulda liked to see something else done with the Lifeguard Whistle. Maybe whenever a survivor interats with a Portal, you get aura reading on them for 6 second whenever you charge your leap whenever you activate it, so it acts as a method of tracking people if your portals start going down frequently.

you look good in this video scott, hope you've been getting good sleep. as another comment pointed out, the demo add-ons were not adjustments based on the placing and teleport speeds, they are all nerfs to sealing time speed! probably trying to kill the totem playstyle on him
I think Clean Break is good for two scenarios. One where one person is getting hard tunneled. When a survivor is being hard tunneled, you don't want to heal and instead crank gens and this gives a passive timer so when the killer is finished hard tunneling, you'll be healthy without a threat. Another one is in time-sensitive situations where you want to separate from a survivor but still get heals while not being stationary with another survivor. Not an amazing perk, but it will have uses.
I think jagged compass is PERFECT with pain res since it creates scourge hooks but is also telling you which gen pain res has just hit so pain res basically has an extra effect like it was when it first came out. I think both together will be the choice on some killers.
@@xenomorphgirI This is much better. Pain res +surv is only on 1st hooks and this works on every scourge hook; even if you used your all your pain res you still get the info whethers surveillance wont do that unless pain res hits a gen (so after 4 uses your surveillance is basically useless). The perk makes new scourge hooks too so you get both effects considerably more consistently. Unless you run ruin as well, this perk is much better in the combo than surveillance.
@@NewSirenSong I don't think it power creeps agi per say. Agi still has the value of your hooking being much faster plus some TR synergy and most importantly it lets you strategically hook in key spots you want to defend even if you have 0 hooking perks. Since as a killer hooking in strategic locations is important and this perk is the best perk in the entire game for doing that. I don't know what you mean by "after the fact" though? I think if you remove this scourge hook creation then the perk is too weak, assuming thats what you mean?
As someone who enjoys playing Scratched Mirror Myers the change to the T one movement speed is much appreciated. Though I'm not so sure on the change from ten to twenty Evil Within, maybe fifteen? I just like fully draining people if I'm not running a Mirror is all. I am fully on board with the distance changes though, totally right in that it made no sense how they had it. I wrote the above before the add-ons where shown. Sad trombone sound for the new addition to Scratched Mirror. Why devs? WHY?! I AM happy they reverted the "need to be injured" bit from Pharmacy though.
@@glaive616you right, I should just 8 hook every survivor even if they are winning. The perk isn't even anit-tunnel, it is anti-kill the survivor closest to dying.
20:20 I would assume "affected survivors" means only those, that are within the 8 meter radius. so it's not that useful to avoid it, but it defenitely helps a lot in finding the item so you can then move it out of the way. which will now make you oblivious for a time so thats a bit of compensation for the killers.
I am giving a sigh of relief. I love playing tombstone myers and i was worried they were going to scrap it. Nerfing it while buffing him overall is fair enough.😊
Hi Scott! I play solo queue, third perk for surv looks good, but in principle someone being tunneled out and the other 3 SWF already choosing to not help them means this won't be used very often.
Deliverance when you transfer a hook state to yourself would not be a good idea... The only way to really know how shoulder the burden will play out is to see it on live servers, however the killer can just tunnel the survivor that unhooked if they are close enough
Cool they added shoulder the burden cant wait to add it to the ever increasing list of perks no one will use because most of the game is solo queue and I am not giving up a hook state for some random.
If Shoulder the Burden becomes a problem perk (it probably will), Pyramid Head will see a lot more play because the cages cancel out this perk in it’s entirety on both sides
@lifeisstrangelover-t8l Why not? Survivors get to see both their and the killer's objective progress. Killer should be able to do the same. Unless, of course, you want killers to be able to switch finished gens with incomplete gens. That'd also be fair compensation. 😁
Will having Deliverance do anything with the new burden perk? Wont you just go straight to second stage if you do trade, so you won't get the opportunity to unhook yourself with Deliverance?
Scott completely misunderstood the infinite tombstone build changes He said it gets eliviated significantly by survivors having more stalk in them. That is just not true You get 20 extra from infinite addon 20 extra from tombstone And 5+3 base. This means you need to fully stalk from 0 to 100 2 different survivors and then go and stalk someone else for half. That will take at least a full minute of pure stalking at the full distance (which is like 50 meters) assuming survivors dont do anything about it
clean break lets you heal while doing gens with another survivor its a decent perk and gets better the more anti heal the killer has, its a bit like adrenaline in my eyes it lets you ignore healing and let it happen slower but automatically and focus on gens. lastly the requirement to activate it is something you will do naturally too heal another survivor it doesn't send you on side quests cleanse a totem or open 2 chests.
You should do a test if Coup de grace, and All shaking thunder with wraith uncloak burst and see if you can do a full lunge around a pallet maybe even include like pwf
About Myers: I think scratched mirror DID need that added nerf. Imagine running around an indoor map (which is where you would send yourself to anyway) and there is a 110% mad man with wallhacks running around. That shit is genuinely horrifying. About the other add-on nerfs: For regular gameplay I think this is a welcome change for sure. I am a bit concerned about the Evil Incarnate achievement though. You gain stalk from afar easier but you also need a lot more. I guess time will tell if this is more of a buff than a nerf but it kind of feels like a hard nerf. And the achievement is still bullshit imo but what can you do.
Shoulder the burden will probably be banned from all comp matches. I think it could be fun to watch against a really good nurse or blight tho because it somewhat eliminates hard tunneling especially if the team is coordinated
I am wondering...can both invocations can be done at the same time by the same person? Because then 60sec is not bad at all ESPECIALLY if more invocation perks come out it may be sensible to have like 3 or even 4 of them and then the cost of one person being broken may be not so bad at all!!
You can use both. Deli requires you to have not been hooked. Using it means you're on 1st hook which is not death hook, so you can still use shoulder the burden.
@@llyukll incorrect. Using shoulder of burden puts you at hook stage 1. Then when the killer downs you and hooks you you'll now be on hook stage 2. Deli is impossible to use after using shoulder the burden.
@@Doomguy82984 what you're saying is true, though llyukll is saying you use deliverance first and then shoulder the burden second which is possible so im not sure why they are incorrect?
Would the hook perk actually work with deliverance? If you have no hooks, trade for one then get downed and hooked you would be on two and wouldnt be able to use deliverance
They just need to make it so you can use any invocation perks all at once, cause if you use the new one with weaving spiders you gotta spend 120 seconds in basement to get both effects, and if the killer is paying attention they can just B-line it to basement as soon as you become broken so you arent going to get the second perk off anyway. It would be cool to have a full invocation build like you do boon builds but the downsides right now are just too much for not enough payoff. By the time you find and get to basement and do the invocations then leave and get on gens, you probably couldve done 3 gens solo. Of course invocation perks would have to be balanced around that fact, and maybe behavior would rather then have strong effects but not able to be completed all at once rather than have weaker effects but be able to completed all at once.

Yeah, the Devour Hope, Thrill of the Hunt, Whistle build is basically dead now.
@@whorcares123and for what? to force a b-tier killer to play with the same slowdown build every killer uses, yay!
@@mak0893 why tho?
That playstyle is completely useless by atleast 2 ppl communicating?
@@renarenacat huh... a build that's either completely useless against swf but stomps solo queue, why they would ever remove that?
All shaking is somewhat better than it seems because it doesn’t get used up when you swing, so you can get multiple long swings with the effect in the 16secs
It's always cool when a game's community slang words become actual terms used by the developers.
Also, i am *very* surprised that they, effectively, didn't touch the tombstone addons.
But what if I run No Mither and Treacherous Crows Scott?? Didn't think about that OP combo now did ya?
I'm glad Wesker got a buff, they destroyed his slowdown last patch. still no fucking anti camp on HUD, I don't know why you add a feature then never actually make it viable in the situation it is needed
$10 says they took away Lifeguard Whistle's effect after seeing SpookyLoop's latest video about Demogorgon and it's ability to keep Devour Hope up literally forever with that add-on
Scott there’s a fly on your head
Being able to see the anti-camp bar removes the most important use of Kindred: being able to know if the killer is face camping
Lifeguard Whistle got nerfed bcs of Devour Demo
I figured it was nerfed because of basement demo. A portal at the top and bottom of the stairs with whistle was pretty strong 😅
@@birken13 yeah no fun add ons allowed, anything thats gets put into a yters video gets nerfed now
Scourge Hook Jagged Compass has interesting synergy with a couple of other Scourge Hook perks:
- With Hangman’s Trick adding new Scourge Hooks to the map extends Hangman’s aura reading area when you carry survivors.
Maybe they were worried about mirror Myers at 110 being a menace to solo Q on lery's? idk
@tsunekofuwakage It's arguably one of the most terrifying playstyles in the game. Wouldn't feel right if scratch mirror at lerrys got gutted 🤕
Because the playstyle is extremely boring unless you're still new to the game
Hate myers gimmicks personally I'm sure its fun but it always feels like bs matches.
2:14 hear me out: jagged compass + pain res + gift of pain + leverage = new meta. Also im almost sure that jagged compass makes gift of pain and floods of rage work on every hook, but i'll test that when i get home from work
I imagine it’s not counted as a scourge hook unhook because it turns it into a scourge hook after the unhook
@@DoctorDarlingTTV I just tested it rn. it does count during the unhook. i saw the auras of the floods of rage during the unhook of a non scourge hook LMAO best perk ever
Rare unique room lighting??? Thank you my Friday has been made!
The part I’m happiest about in this update is introducing thematic Myers. He might just become fun to play
I tried No Quarter with Nurses, sloppy, and Coulrophobia and it’s pretty strong. All the Self Care players were malding in the end game chat.
Running self care in 2024 is absolutely crazy on its own.
doesn’t sloppy not even work with her or did they change it
@@seeko9323 Last I recall, Sloppy only works on basic attacks. Attacks from nurse blinks do not count as basic attacks. They changed this a while ago so I believe you are correct.
@@seeko9323 Lol he wasn't playing Nurse, he just had her perk.
Hey, Scott. Here guys.
you look good in this video scott, hope you've been getting good sleep. as another comment pointed out, the demo add-ons were not adjustments based on the placing and teleport speeds, they are all nerfs to sealing time speed! probably trying to kill the totem playstyle on him
I think Clean Break is good for two scenarios.
The change to demos whistle is garbage the issue wasnt not having rnough portals it was information for when people are getting rid of your portals
Shoulder the burden will make the "Get down mr president" meme even funnier, in theory you can give 1 survivor 8 hooks
I’m glad we got compass when there aren’t that many scourges in the game, that way they can balance future ones around it’s awesome effect
I think jagged compass is PERFECT with pain res since it creates scourge hooks but is also telling you which gen pain res has just hit so pain res basically has an extra effect like it was when it first came out. I think both together will be the choice on some killers.
It will probably be adjusted post ptb to only treat it as a scourge hook after the fact so as to not power creep agitation
you can already get this exact same effect by using surviellance
Wait a second... You telling me, that fat woman have a perk called "all-shaking thunder" and it works when she drops from a heght ???
Hey Scott you’re the GOAT you’re the only person that gives clean concise information on updates and changes including your own thoughts! You matter
Bro them buffing Dracula's wolf form is crazy, i've been destroying everyone with it before the patch, this will be unecessarily easy now..
No, you're crazy!
Bad troll bait
Wolf form has been getting unwarranted complaints since they took away hug tech. It was always good w/o hug tech but ppl underestimate the doggo.
bruh its 0.15s faster pounce and one second less to get a haste orb its not gonna change much but its welcome IMO

If shoulder the burden goes live as is, survivors will be getting real cozy with the ground
Just don’t tunnel and you won’t even notice it.
@@glaive616you right, I should just 8 hook every survivor even if they are winning. The perk isn't even anit-tunnel, it is anti-kill the survivor closest to dying.
@@whorcares123 This might be a crazy idea but stick with me, maybe don't tunnel AND don't try and 8 hook.
Bro this perk is shit what u on about
@@whorcares123 you are telling me survivor perks help survivors not getting killed? crazy how that works.
Currently the activation sound for All-Shaking Thunder can be heard by Survivors globally. So there is no surprise element whatsoever.
guess im getting the myers 4k achievement before this patch goes live
Myers needs a full rework but this is a great start
I haven't been playing for a year, as a Myers main djd we FINALLY get some basekit buffs. Hope this is very noticeable
No quarter sounds like fun on full TR coulro doctor
Thunder + Coup + Tier 3 Myers super lunge let's go
Hi Scott! I play solo queue, third perk for surv looks good, but in principle someone being tunneled out and the other 3 SWF already choosing to not help them means this won't be used very often.
On the new map did you see the elevators full of bodies event on the outside of the map near killer shack?
Low-key I think it would be a better invocation affect to take a hookstate and make the crow thing a regular perk but only for the survivor running it
Deliverance when you transfer a hook state to yourself would not be a good idea...
What sucks with the invocation is that only one invocation activates at a time. I don't understand why, but it happens.
shoulder the burden is gonna be oppressive for anyone but the top killers
If Shoulder the Burden becomes a problem perk (it probably will), Pyramid Head will see a lot more play because the cages cancel out this perk in it’s entirety on both sides
Clean break might be decent with vigil. Vigil should knock off 18 seconds bringing down the timer from 60 seconds to 42 seconds.
invocations need different downsides and casting times per its effect just like exhaustion perks having different exhaustion periods
Isn't ability button 2 the same you use for Reassurance?
I wish they would give Myers an addon that drops him to Tier 1 when Tier 3 is out. I've always wanted to be able to go back to super stealth mode.
Myers now being faster in tier one! Then seeing scratched mirror slows him down :0
If survivors are going to start trading hook states, it's time to add hook states to the killer's HUD.
You do see them when the perk is used, which I think is fair
@lifeisstrangelover-t8l All the hook states?
@@Doncroft1 no ofc not, that would be dumb
@lifeisstrangelover-t8l Why not? Survivors get to see both their and the killer's objective progress. Killer should be able to do the same.
Unless, of course, you want killers to be able to switch finished gens with incomplete gens. That'd also be fair compensation. 😁
@@Doncroft1 your just spouting nonsense at this point lmao
Do you think stacking the I vocations makes it worth it though? Like 60 seconds for Weaving Spiders AND Treacherous Crows?
Will having Deliverance do anything with the new burden perk? Wont you just go straight to second stage if you do trade, so you won't get the opportunity to unhook yourself with Deliverance?
Scott completely misunderstood the infinite tombstone build changes
He said it gets eliviated significantly by survivors having more stalk in them.
That is just not true
You get 20 extra from infinite addon
20 extra from tombstone
And 5+3 base. This means you need to fully stalk from 0 to 100 2 different survivors and then go and stalk someone else for half.
That will take at least a full minute of pure stalking at the full distance (which is like 50 meters) assuming survivors dont do anything about it
Everytime I think BHVR will finally show a little love to us Jumpscare Myers enjoyers....they then make me sad immediately after.
Pharmacy guarantees a medkit for every chest now. Not just the 1st
clean break lets you heal while doing gens with another survivor its a decent perk and gets better the more anti heal the killer has, its a bit like adrenaline in my eyes it lets you ignore healing and let it happen slower but automatically and focus on gens.
lastly the requirement to activate it is something you will do naturally too heal another survivor it doesn't send you on side quests cleanse a totem or open 2 chests.
Can you activate both invocations at the same time ? If so it could be decent
You should do a test if Coup de grace, and All shaking thunder with wraith uncloak burst and see if you can do a full lunge around a pallet maybe even include like pwf
Can't use Deliverance with Shoulder the Burden, because at minimum you're giving up your first hook stage.
2:35 doctor impossible skill check has another victim to torment.
About Myers:
I think scratched mirror DID need that added nerf.
I’m #1 Ace in the Hole lover and this is huge
Shoulder the burden and Hardened are about to be my two new favorite perks
Shoulder the burden will probably be banned from all comp matches. I think it could be fun to watch against a really good nurse or blight tho because it somewhat eliminates hard tunneling especially if the team is coordinated
I am wondering...can both invocations can be done at the same time by the same person?
Because then 60sec is not bad at all
ESPECIALLY if more invocation perks come out it may be sensible to have like 3 or even 4 of them and then the cost of one person being broken may be not so bad at all!!
Deliverance won’t work with shoulder the burden since you’ll go into second stage

This Myers changes!
Oh fuck!
I might actually come back to the game!
You seem to be in good health Mr. Jund!
scratched mirror needs to stay at that slow ass speed because infinite undetectable is absurdly annoying to go against
Gosh we need like 2 more invocation perks and it’s going to be meta to just check basement first
Oh wait the invocation is for killer aura? The wording makes it sound like you see the survivors aura I was so confused on what they were going for
1:09 I wanna see a Spirit do this with the long lunge add-ons
17:59 We got a Michael buff before GTA6
23:01 BHVR W
Can’t wait for Omega Lunge T3 Myers.
So baffled there was no nerf to Medusa's Hair
