As part of my flexibility/baby contortion that I'm working on this year, I'm focusing on my back and arabasques as they're the one part of my body not as innately flexible as my hips and legs. So the arabasque 'pumps' are great at the 3/4 mark in the set. Plus I love this combination of at the barre and then back down on the floor. Great heart rate increases!

Loved this. Almost half way through your 28 day circuit. I have never done ballet (and I'm 49 now) but I really enjoyed this. I'm positive ballet was definitely not my calling in life when see how low my legs can lift lol....but did the best I could with your awesome workout and encouragement! Thank you so much xxxx. (I still burned a shed load of calories with this and the last 2 workouts)

The exercises were great but going back and forth from the bar to the floor was erratic. I get more out of a workout when I am working at one particular station versus going back and forth. For me it was too much to squeeze in such a short time. However, for someone who wants a quick workout such as this, it would probably work. Thanks.
Janie Rodriguez Thanks for your input! It’s certainly an exercise within itself alternating between mat & barre exercises. Most of my workouts are either one or the other...so if you prefer those kinds of exercises, just stick to those! 😉😉😉

Arunima Saha When doing barre work you want to keep your spine and pelvis in neutral. So don’t tuck your pelvis under OR stick your butt out...you need to be in between those two positions...so think of your tailbone shooting straight down to the floor. 👍🏼😘💗
