the other guy trying to restrain Neely, and the other bystander standing a foot away tells you everything you need to know. Guy was probably a complete menace. Shame he had to die, but Mr. Penny is no murderer. He was just a man with above average courage at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Penny is no hero…he’s a killer. People threaten people all the time. Did the victim act on his threats ? Did the victim have a weapon? The victim was hungry and angry and running his mouth. That’s no reason to kill anyone. Penny is going to go to jail over this. The victims family will sue Penny in civil court and they will win for wrongful death. Penny is done, any money he receives from the rubes and lemmings will go to the victims family.

That's cool and all yeah he's a good person but thankfully his fate isn't up to the public and it's up to the jury after being presented the evidence of the situation. A court of law is the final deciding factor because n this and every other US criminal case, NOT the public.

Where was Mr. Neely's family? Were they at fault for not taking better care of a man that had mental health issues, a man that made threats against others? Should they be held accountable for his death due to neglect? We have a white man being punished for an accidental death trying to subdue a man who was making threats against people on the train, a black man unknown to these people. How were they to know if all of a sudden he would lash out? I am truly sorry that this man lost his life and that his care was neglected and placed him in danger. However, I believe we have an issue of race more than facts and neglect. This is my opinion and let me say I know the pain of losing someone, I am sorry for this family but I think facts must be taken into account.
