Daniel Penny argues his actions ‘had nothing to do with race’ | Morning in America

  • The former Marine charged in the chokehold death of Jordan Neely on a New York subway earlier this month argued it “had nothing to do with race” in a recent interview. Daniel Penny, a 24-year-old white man, placed Neely, a 30-year-old Black man, in a chokehold for nearly 15 minutes, while he was reportedly experiencing a mental health episode. Neely was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

He was a hero when he took down Neely but you don't hold against someone's neck for 15 minutes and not expect death. He started our ok but then was unreasonable. There were also others there he could have sat on him or any other thing but to press against someone's neck for all that time or more than enough to subdue him for a second. So yes we want someone to take him down and subdue him but not to kill him. So why do people take complete opposite sides it's not rocket science.

@@aliyaforever2254girl, you really need to recheck your facts because if you'd actually watched the full video, you'd know that Jordan Neeley was still breathing after Daniek Penny released him into a recovery position. He didn't die until after he was sent at the hospital. This man was threatening to hurt passengers and being aggressive towards them if they didn't give him money and now we know he that he most definitely would have with his criminal record of 44 arrests. One where he punched an elderly woman in the face and broke her nose and then assaulted a 64-year-old man and also kidnapped a 7-year-old old little girl. This is the type of man you're supporting. Someone who violently beats elderly people and kidnaps little girls. And while Daniel Penny may not have known about all that before he certainly could tell the kind of potential threat Jordan Neeley was with the way he was acting towards other passengers. But all people like you and the media care about is to keep pushing this bs propaganda about BLM and use any opportunity you can find to do that. Daniel Penny IS a hero because he did what the judicial system failed to do so and it's to put a stop to criminals like Neeley from continuing to hurt other people. It's sad that we live in a day and age where scums and cowards like Neeley are glorified and painted as victims where as good samaritans like Daniel Penny who not only have had an impeccable record prior to this but also SERVED our country with honor are being vilified. But of course keep protecting violent criminals, child-kidnappers (and potential rapist/pedophiles) like Jordan Neeley. I really do hope that no elderly person or child ever needs to ever depend on you for help.
