The reason that the flatiron is popular is because it is a cool shape for sure. AND at the end of the day most people are just carrying a knife to open boxes or cut random little stuff anyway, so why not carry one that looks fun. and for me personally i have never had any reasonably sized pocket knife bother me with weight, perhaps if i was completely loaded with gear it would be an issue but for regular EDc it is a complete non issue unless you are literally the weakest person ever and that extra ounce is really weighing you down haha
Pretty much man, the blade profile on the flat iron is like a chef knife or razor. I usually keep a knife in my lunch box, I'd take that flat iron over the Pilar any day. My coworker has a Pilar and I'd argue it's one of the most useless blade shapes I've played with, basically a glorified box opener.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. With that being said. I originally bought the flat iron on discount and when it first arrived I found myself enjoying it. The lockup is by far the most solid lockup out of all the knives I have owned to date. Ergonomics are very good, not the best but they hold their own. And my little knit pick about the video is simply why would you choose a cleaver style blade if you plan on piercing random things? The blade is easy to open in my opinion but yet again I grew up with traditional pocket knives and learned very quickly on how to open a knife one handed in a pinch. The flaws in my opinion mainly consist of the texture on the handle is too smooth on my model they do make one with a lot more texture on the handle with a diamond pattern. As well as the liner lock is very low profile and hard to push out of the way. When you first get the knife it takes time to learn how to close it safely. I carry this knife in my back pocket with my wallet and I hardly notice it is there.
I've got a CRKT with a Klecker lock. It's very odd using a flipper that takes 2 hands to close. Because the pivot is tuned for smooth action due to the flipper deployment, if you press the lock open there's a real risk of the blade swinging shut on your fingers, which I don't find happens with traditional lockbacks like a Buck 110 or even a Spyderco Delica or Endura, because the lock maintains some pressure on the blade rather than letting it swing free.
*Thanks for the video. I appreciate your honesty regarding the Para3. I personally love the Para3, but I do understand your point, which it sounds like you're saying that it's not a necessity. Especially since you can now get the compression lock in a few different models. I might be way off on that, but it's just my take. Thanks again.*
Well I'm not a big fan of the paraframe there's nothing wrong with a Kershaw Shuffle. I honestly prefer the Kershaw Shuffle 2 over the original but that's just me.
I personally use the Kershaw Shuffle on a daily basis at work or in the field. It's compact, holds a nice edge, it's very ergonomic and easy to open and close.

Your assessment of the Skeletool was spot on. I bought it to replace my old Leatherman which was so heavy I never carried it. My Skeletool never leaves my pocket and I use it almost daily. It's the best EDC multitool I've ever owned.
Enjoyed your video, but stop it about the Crossbones. A trailing point blade is awesome if you know how to use it. The longer, thinner blade on the Crossbones is very conducive to slicing, which is a trailing points design. Very handy in the kitchen and will even fillet small fish. You also get a light weight carry in ratio to blade length. Your clunker blade looked like a tire weight next to the Crossbones design. I do appreciate your opinion and directness we’re just at a disagreement here.
I like the design, just don't like it for the EDC tasks that I put it up against. It's totally fine to disagree, don't feel like you hafta stop the video because of it though. I'm not trying to convert you to a different religion. :)
@Kevan Elliott The blade shape of the Crossbones is excellent for cutting and slicing. I've found it to be an excellent EDC which looks great. The Clunker or Clicker or Clackety-Clack recommended is as ugly as being forced to watch Hillary Clinton debate videos. Okay, maybe not quite that bad, but it certainly isn't aesthetically pleasing by any means.
I agree with you on the Crossbones, great knife for eating with, and easy to sharpen. Knives with curvy blades are difficult to put an edge back on and unless you intend to toss them when dull are not very piratical. The Brad Zinker Urban Trapper is a favorite EDC blade for me, keeps me from having to use a Spork to cut food with. (Budget Bugout, THANKS FOR THE VIDEO : )
@barkingspider2007 I use a lot of different sharpening tools, so curved blades aren't a problem. My favorite is still tried and true Arkansas stones or Japanese Water Stones, but for recurves I use ceramic rods, Spyderco's Tri-Angle Sharpmaker, and the regular model Worksharp (I am thinking about getting the Ken Onion model, but haven't yet.) By the way, I agree Budget Bugout made a great video, even the parts with which I disagreed.
I have a number of the CRKT knives you mentioned in this video. My M-16 with the annoying lock device no longer has that. I took it apart, removed it, and after some adjustments re-centered the blade.
Whoa, whoa, whoa! Para 3 is awesome!! I have a PM2 and love it too, but it is more knife than I need for my typical EDC office carry. Tried Delica before the Para 3 and did not like it so much. Great vid through! LOL
I'm only 5 minutes in but I already love this video, super informative. Its easy to want every knife out there, so its incredibly helpful to watch this video to know what to avoid and what to take a look at instead. Great job man!!!!!
I don't understand why people think framelocks are any more strong than liner locks : the cut out for tension relief is the weak spot and it's generally thinner than many liners . 9:17 never recommend a knife with a recurve blade. 1.) The strength of the lock is not if it breaks but how easy it moves or unlocks under force to the blade, hence the spine whack test. Frame locks are better locks. 2.) You absolutely can sharpen a recurve on a traditional stone. You just sharpen on the corner of the stone, it takes some practice but it works.
This is my favorite of your vids so far. Super helpful, you do more compare and contrast guides. For the record, not that anyone cares, I've used ALOT of knives, as most of us have, and the OKC R2-D2 is the perfect size, weight, feel, and steel to my taste. So smooth at everything it does, super sharp, easy to maintain and really versatile. Just truly a useful pleasure. Keep up the good work!
Funny that he thinks that spyderco knife is a better alternative to the pocket bushman. Clearly he doesn't pay attention what that knife was made for. In a hard use or survival situation the bushman will definitely out perform it.
keys, loose change, anything i dont want to sit on or put with my phone go into the pocket holding my knife, if you're worried about the knife then you really shouldn't be carrying it in the first place
Every time I let a coworker or trainee use my knife I say: "I don't know how you can get through your day to day life without a knife" I've carried a knife for so many years and I use them so often, I can't stand being without one. I keep spares in my work truck and my tool belt just in case I leave my edc on my nightstand, which very rarely happens. Great video and great suggestions👍 you got a new subscriber.
22:00 Would you say you honestly use that "hammer fist" grip on your knives that that often? I noticed that a lot of knife reviewers will do that...pointing out hot spots when using a vice-like hammer fist grip but I would guess that isn't the natural grip most people would use.
Got the leatherman skeletool KBx for christmas from my wife....the skeletool multitool just got intresting....EDC right now is a Leatherman Rebar. Cheers from sweden👍
The Skeletool multi-tool is a really good option if you find that the main things you use are the pliers and screwdriver. I keep it in my EDC bag as a back-up multi-tool in case I forget my normal Wave+.
Mostly agree, except for the CRKT Crossbones - it's a gentleman's knife. It's supposed to look classy and a bit snazzy. It will still cut what needs cutting in a formal situation.
Thanks again for another great video. I use your knowledge when I purchase my knives. Love the honesty no matter who the maker is. Keep it up Marty, I always look forward to your videos. ( from a female subscriber )
The Gerber Paraframe was the first knife that I caried on a regular basis, and I LOVED it for the 5 years that I carried it. The blade is a little exposed, but it never gave me any problems. I wouldn't say it's overrated, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a budget all metal knive. However, I would still recommend a CRKT Driftor or even better, a Rat 1 instead.
I actually loved my flat iron because I’d use it for a lot of things that need more chopping and the weight helped with that a lot and I could still choke up on it surprisingly well and still be able to do finer work or any other things I needed. That being said I recently lost it on a backpacking trip and next go around instead of that one I’m thinking of buying the spyderco roc which is their cleaver style blade.
I love my Gerber paraframe. I love how the blade rolls, how the inner lining of pockets get stuck in the frame. How I've nearly cut myself when I shove it into my pocket when I open it. But overall it's been a decent knife. It's just I'd never waste the money on it again. I've had the pleasure of abusing the heck out of it to see if I can break it. So far I haven't.
This is a first for me...I agree with EVERY choice that you made. I have most of the knives mentioned (both good & bad) or equivalent models and through experience will say that you nailed it. Thanks for the video, & have a great new year.
Tom Faranda Right? When I first received mine I couldn’t figure out why it was so expensive. I also have a Sebenza and an XM-18 and I could tell why those ones were expensive... not so much the SNG. 🤷🏻♂️
@@BudgetBugout : I also don't like the marketing as a heavy duty knife, on the Strider. Any knife with plastic (G10, FRN, Micarta) scales, even on one side, is NOT heavy duty...medium duty at best. For heavy duty, metal liners would be required on the G10 side.
Great Video. Great description of some knives I was aware of and unaware of.Unbiased and informative.I like the pics of the knives in some nature shots and at the bar. I`m going to do some research on my own.I subscribed.Keep up the good work!
The Squid is a bit small for me as a main pocket blade, but it is an excellent small knife and I wear it to the office due to it's lack of "scare factor". I have a BladeHQ version of the Squid that has an orange G-10 scale on one side and a black wash finish. I think it's an exclusive and it's only about $5 more than the regular squid.
I will stick with my old tried and true Buck 110 folding knife. It will most likely outlast me. Made of wood, brass and steel. Is it heavy, I don't think so. Is it "Tactical" I don't care. Its a knife I use every day for cutting things. That's what a knife is for.
There is something to be said for an overbuilt tried and true design,I recently bought one myself.I am sick and tired of the"tactical"horseshit.I do not plan to knife fight human beings with this knife nor do entertain fantasies of being a Navy Seal.A 110 Buck is just as good a knife today as when introduced,I also have a 119 Buck I have owned for46 years, guess it is obsolete also.
@@jamesellis5549 Yep my 119 is 38 years old and its seen a lot of use, but still in great shape. Funny when I started collecting knives back in the early 80's the only "tactical" knives where military, like my USMC KaBar. Ah well, nothing beats old school quality. Have a good one and stay sharp.
Haha that first knife the CRKT is my oldest pocket knife lol and I love it real durable I hated the edge so I resharpened it putting a better edge geometry on it lol
When I got my first crkt m16 I had no idea my auto locks mechanism did not work so it functioned as an optional extra lock. I found this out and engaged it one day and immediately disengaged it again.
I think the butter-knife is overrated. You just need a good Bowie to cook, cut, and eat food. You could even eat soup with a knife... Just not very quickly
Isaac Ammerman It is always on everyone’s “Top 10” list... a designer from Kershaw once asked me at SHOT Show why that knife is as popular as it is. I was surprised by the question but I answered it because of how much Blade it fits into such a small design. 🤷🏻♂️
I totally agree on the M16 blades, that safety feature had to go on the one I customized. When it comes to the Flatiron I love/hate it. I like the look but trying to take it apart and maintain it is a huge pain! Impossible to take apart! Great Video!🙂
I appreciate the list and the details. I personally love the look of the Gerber FlatIron but that is truly it. But idk about comparing it to a knife that’s so different would be the best thing ( do you have any suggestions on knives with that kind of blind style alone?)
I have a veteran coworker who I was surprised to find wasn't carrying a knife. I was going to give/sale for a penny him one of my favorite knives till he told me he loses a knife within a month.. I was in shock..lol. So I'm giving him an old Kershaw instead.
I have carried the Gerber paraframe for years had have never had an issue with my fingers going between the skeletized parts. The blade is far more protected than it looks.
Most definitely a lot of personal likes and dislikes and I agree with some for sure! :) Piercing is probably not something you try to do with a cleaver-style knife ;)
DW Strange LoL! Thanks for that feedback. But yeah I think you simply value honesty and if you’re used to seeing “Top 10” vids like I do on this channel you welcome hearing which knives I DON’T recommend and the reasons why.
@@Kevin-ty9hg I'd say gerber is made for people who don't know better and crkt has amazing designs and I do have two fixed blades from them (the obake and the hunt'n' fisch) which I love, but their folders suck. Suck hard.
Cold steel are working knives. I use mine at work all the time and i own it for the the locking system rather than the appearance (whichis my least favorite portion of cold steel knives).
I have to disagree with the cold steel comment yes a lot of their knives are tacticool like the xl espada but they have some of the strongest lockups out there use s30v blade steel now and do it at reasonable prices
I work at a retail store and we got the Gerber butcher style knife you showed and I would agree with what you said. It's funny you said it's trending cause I liked the looks of it too. The biggest problem I had with the display model at the store is that the lock bar over travels and is impossible to close
I've used the crap outta my para 2. I've sharpened and snapped the tip on so much I pretty much have a para 3 with a para 2 handle.... I never did and never will buy into the para 3.
I don't know if it is just because I have big hands or it is the flatiron I got but it is pretty easy to flick open with my middle finger and a little wrist movement
So I went to France and Germany last week, was afraid to pack my Sabenza. Sure enough the Squid was not in my luggage when I arrived. Very glad I took the cheap one. Bought one of those French lagola...(something or other) knives.
My Carson m16 14sfg is milled out on non spring side, and has the sloted tensioner. I got it for the lock and the double bolster that weaves out of the pocket. Paraframe is bad, I gave mine away after cutting fingertip on closed knife in my pocket. I agree; mostly.
David Carothers I have knives that are both. For me the placement of the pocket clip (ie: hotspots) is more important that the tip orientation. Some people insist that it needs to be a certain way to access the knife in case of self-defense. That’s fine but those people should just carry an Emerson if that’s what they are looking for. 🤷🏻♂️
At 8:19 that Gerber I have a smaller version of that same except smaller and a thumb nack instead of the bump thing it came in a little bear grylls kit once I accidentally brought it too school and in gym i ended up hiding it in my shoe let me tell you those suckers are very uhhh uncomfortable I mean really just ow. In pocket it's better (obviously) but they are kind un ergonomic
I have medium size hands and the native has been my favorite for a while, but the orange delica is nice. Wish I had an orange Native (drooling) I also carry an r2d2 alot.
There's a different version of the Gerber Flatiron also it's just called flatiron but the frame lock is different and the hole is a little longer (also the logo is behind the thumbhole) and out of the box they are very smooth to thumb flick open actually
My favorite knife was the first one on your list. I was like no way, ...its a great knife but you had very valid points that I had never even considered. I will be looking into your alternative suggestion. Thanks.
Gerber and CRKT, not sure any real knife enthusiast ever considers them in the first place. Tough call on the Para 3 vs PM2...both have their benefits. The only thing I use the Delica 4 for, is opening packages. Agree with you on the ZTs, best price to performance ratio that I know of. Wish they still made the 0550...
@youtubesucks Perhaps. However, when someone makes a post about overrated knives, I don't expect to see low end knives. My opinion of both Gerber and CRKT still stands though. They are low end knives that can't even be considered overrated because no one considers them highly in the first place. Sure, they may each have one or two models made of fairly decent materials and/or craftsmanship (the latter is highly doubtful) but that's not what's listed here... Just remember, TH-cam is a business for these posters, and when I decide to click on one of their videos, I expect to receive quality results since they are essentially getting paid for my view. I totally respect your opinion though, thanks.

I also carry an r2d2 at work on non raining days. Ever try the esee version? Been itching to try it out.
I have a cold steel spartan, it's a bit of a guilty pleasure. Every freind I've ever shown it to hates the handle but I just love it.
That's all that matters
I recently got one. Being bigger than my Recon1, it doesn't get carried. Nice knife, tho.
I LOVE the way it looks, but it's too big for me and edc. I'm glad someone else loves it though!
I carry a Spartan full time . Might be the toughest knife made for the cost . Actually carries well
Funny that he thinks that spyderco knife is a better alternative to the pocket bushman. Clearly he doesn't pay attention what that knife was made for. In a hard use or survival situation the bushman will definitely out perform it.
Keys do not go in the knife pocket, Knives go in the knife pocket.
Logan2070 I put my keys in the same pocket as my sebenza. Deal with it.
keys, loose change, anything i dont want to sit on or put with my phone go into the pocket holding my knife, if you're worried about the knife then you really shouldn't be carrying it in the first place
How many pockets do you have, guy?
I try not to intentionally limit myself by meaningless rules...
Deathwolves4 well my knife cost more then my phone so why wouldn't I rather scratch my phone
Every time I let a coworker or trainee use my knife I say: "I don't know how you can get through your day to day life without a knife"
I've carried a knife for so many years and I use them so often, I can't stand being without one.
HENRIK JAAKKONEN Great choice!
The Skeletool multi-tool is a really good option if you find that the main things you use are the pliers and screwdriver. I keep it in my EDC bag as a back-up multi-tool in case I forget my normal Wave+.
Love the Rebar, compact, simple and built like a tank
@BudgetBugout How do feel about the CRKT Ripsnort?
Mostly agree, except for the CRKT Crossbones - it's a gentleman's knife. It's supposed to look classy and a bit snazzy. It will still cut what needs cutting in a formal situation.
i like the flatiron for its weight , how it feels and the blade shape. its not hard to open after you oil it. right now i edc a flat iron and a zugang
And for the 1rst place for overrated fixed blades is the knife made by David at ultimate survival tips
Well, I can't afford that one even if I wanted to... 🤷♂️
ikr let me pay $400 for two d2 knives one with a "survival kit" and a kydex/nylon sheath
I don't have anything against d2 but that whole knife of his is nothing but a gimmick. Kinda feel like he vanished when it flopped.
Meh. I'd say every make from Medford Knife and Tool has that one beat.
@@ewat2102 it didn't flop just people who like knives didn't but it or make videos on it. And it's actually pretty good.
Thanks again for another great video. I use your knowledge when I purchase my knives. Love the honesty no matter who the maker is. Keep it up Marty, I always look forward to your videos. ( from a female subscriber )
I feel like you are trying to promote crkt😂
why not using the new version of Gerber Flatiron?
The Gerber Paraframe was the first knife that I caried on a regular basis, and I LOVED it for the 5 years that I carried it. The blade is a little exposed, but it never gave me any problems. I wouldn't say it's overrated, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a budget all metal knive. However, I would still recommend a CRKT Driftor or even better, a Rat 1 instead.
Got any CRKT knives?
Go for a Cold Steel Voyager over the folding Bushman. Better weight, blade designs and multiple sizes.
Agreed, it will cost more than my suggestion but I agree
A rat 1 in D2 also can do the job with. A. Way better steel than the 4116
Nice photos of the knives, and thanks for your service!!
Straight up love these kinds of comparisons, keep it up!
The Gerber Flatiron looks more like a modern day straight razor.
If I'm not mistaken it's like a pocket cleaver
Looks like a cheese knife... 🤣🤦♂️🔰
Wow! You really have everybody fooled with your fake expertise! That is actually amazing! Great job!
Most quote on quote knife experts are full of shit
@@Go4Bro The actual saying is "quote unquote" by the way. It's just two words not 3.
This is a first for me...I agree with EVERY choice that you made. I have most of the knives mentioned (both good & bad) or equivalent models and through experience will say that you nailed it. Thanks for the video, & have a great new year.
Very good vid and 1000% right about the strider.
Plus Strider is a stolen valor pos.
I noticed you didn't mention the crkt field strip models, what's your thinking about them?
Ontario rats and the spydercos budget knives like tenatioucs are over priced in europe, thats why i hate them
Great Video. Great description of some knives I was aware of and unaware of.Unbiased and informative.I like the pics of the knives in some nature shots and at the bar. I`m going to do some research on my own.I subscribed.Keep up the good work!
Love these type of vids that you make. Glad to see more knife vids coming from your channel. Love your advise
A Leatherman Wave on my belt and an Eskabar in my front pocket is my combination of choice. They serve me well.
David Meyer nice. I've got leatherman wave on my belt and a Benchmade Griptilian in my pocket
May as well of called it overrated crkt knives.
@BB do you have any "large choppers"? or any bark River stuff?
Budget big knife, I picked up a apocalypse cleaver or something from rampage
Very unique and informative video, we need more of these. Thank you!
How did I know the Squid would be recommended even before the video started? LOL.
Dcr 72104 I guess I do mention it a bit often as a great budget knife... 😂
But, its a GREAT VIDEO, as usual. Keep up the great work. And thank you for your service. dcr
@@darthblade2016 Oh nice.
1:31 M15?
i take the pocket clips off all of my knives. i fell they just get in the way and create hot spots in your palm.
Ty. What is ur opinion ofthe wildsteer wx?
I will stick with my old tried and true Buck 110 folding knife. It will most likely outlast me. Made of wood, brass and steel. Is it heavy, I don't think so. Is it "Tactical" I don't care. Its a knife I use every day for cutting things. That's what a knife is for.
It was good 25 years ago. Now there is much much MUCH better blades now days. Buck 110 is obsolete.
@@aw9389 Really? my 110 still does every thing I need a knife for. So its not obsolete, its just old school.
Have a good one and stay sharp.
while I have carried the corresponding Schrader--the Opinel is less intimidating especially since I prefer the 10 and 12
On the boker could you just sand ir grind down the ridges
I was thinking the same thing. I like it's small form factor.
Nothing says one can't modify their EDC..
What knives do YOU think are overrated???
Did you notice how many of those knives you hate come in Battlbox?
I think the butter-knife is overrated. You just need a good Bowie to cook, cut, and eat food. You could even eat soup with a knife...
Just not very quickly
DW Strange I do get a lot of disappointing knives in those boxes but I also get some good ones too (to be fair).
Harshhaze I love your mindset
Isaac Ammerman It is always on everyone’s “Top 10” list... a designer from Kershaw once asked me at SHOT Show why that knife is as popular as it is. I was surprised by the question but I answered it because of how much Blade it fits into such a small design. 🤷🏻♂️
I totally agree on the M16 blades, that safety feature had to go on the one I customized.
When it comes to the Flatiron I love/hate it. I like the look but trying to take it apart and maintain it is a huge pain! Impossible to take apart!
Great Video!🙂
What a great video, I really like that. Thank you for uploading.
SurvivalAustria
SurvivalAustria Thanks I appreciate it!
I appreciate the list and the details. I personally love the look of the Gerber FlatIron but that is truly it. But idk about comparing it to a knife that’s so different would be the best thing ( do you have any suggestions on knives with that kind of blind style alone?)
I carry the Kershaw shuffle because it cost 19 bucks and I lose them every year 😂
Got my kershufle for 5 when they first came out
I have a veteran coworker who I was surprised to find wasn't carrying a knife. I was going to give/sale for a penny him one of my favorite knives till he told me he loses a knife within a month.. I was in shock..lol. So I'm giving him an old Kershaw instead.
Great reviews my friend. I like the compare and contrast mentality of the video. 🤙
I have carried the Gerber paraframe for years had have never had an issue with my fingers going between the skeletized parts. The blade is far more protected than it looks.
Well normal people don't try to finger bang a knife handle so I see no problem with the design
I have both the PM2 and para 3 and I love both and probably prefer to carry the para 3 over the PM2. I have XXL glove hands to.
Most definitely a lot of personal likes and dislikes and I agree with some for sure! :)
Piercing is probably not something you try to do with a cleaver-style knife ;)
I want to know where you’re getting paramilitary 2s from for $120 because on average I see them priced at $150.
I'm only 5 minutes in and this is already one of favorite vids of yours. Does that make me a negative person? ;)
DW Strange LoL! Thanks for that feedback. But yeah I think you simply value honesty and if you’re used to seeing “Top 10” vids like I do on this channel you welcome hearing which knives I DON’T recommend and the reasons why.
For the gerber flatiron i fixed the openjng by adding the emerson zip tie mod makes it alot better
I didn't have a problem with this video until you chose thst hideous thing over the cross bones.
Bestech hornet great alternative to the flat iron if you want a cleaver shaped blade.
Okay the Piliar instead of the flat blade? Are you kidding me? Where did you get your information from? Are you serious?
I've got a gerber paraframe 2, the skeletonised handle isn't really that much of a problem and it's a pretty good beater knife just to have
Very helpful.
A Marmot Happy to hear it! 😊
i have no idea why but for some reason i fucking love this video, i love your style and honest commentary, i'm subscribing
"Anything made by SOG or Cold Steel is aimed at mall ninjas"
*yell now*
As well as Gerber and CRKT. Fucking hate CRKT
*YELLS INCOHERENTLY* (I agree)
Have you ever tried out the SOG Mini Trident?
The infamous M-15, the gun that won the civil war!
I wondered about the paramilitary 3. Thanks for the info.
Really awesome video!!!😊
OcOmega Shadow I appreciate it!
Para3 is for the gay little fan boys
I don't know if it is just because I have big hands or it is the flatiron I got but it is pretty easy to flick open with my middle finger and a little wrist movement
So I went to France and Germany last week, was afraid to pack my Sabenza. Sure enough the Squid was not in my luggage when I arrived. Very glad I took the cheap one. Bought one of those French lagola...(something or other) knives.
Should have left them steal the Sebenza
Randall Kelley I prefer the Opinel series, better steel
I kinda doubt this story happened. Nobody who has shelled out the $400 for a Sebenza will ever spell the name wrong lol.
My Carson m16 14sfg is milled out on non spring side, and has the sloted tensioner. I got it for the lock and the double bolster that weaves out of the pocket. Paraframe is bad, I gave mine away after cutting fingertip on closed knife in my pocket. I agree; mostly.
Big ass cleaver knives are useless. Manly man complex.
Randall Kelley My thoughts as well
Why all the "tip up" vs "tip down" controversy??
Both are fine for me!!
A simple adjustment in hand position...
I love the medium size paraframe as a beater knofe and normally carry a spyderco delica 50/50 but kinda want some benchmade and more spydercos
It's nice to see a dislike video every once in a while, even though I don't mind the original M16 lol
I owned a version of the M16 and I didn't mind it too much, but it was not a favorite. To each their own! 👍
Delica is the best edc by far !
Davie smith love mine
I have medium size hands and the native has been my favorite for a while, but the orange delica is nice. Wish I had an orange Native (drooling) I also carry an r2d2 alot.
There's a different version of the Gerber Flatiron also it's just called flatiron but the frame lock is different and the hole is a little longer (also the logo is behind the thumbhole) and out of the box they are very smooth to thumb flick open actually
Amen! Amen! Spot on critiquing, especially with the Gerber Flatiron.
I totally respect your opinion though, thanks.
the first knife i chose for myself was the squid. I was glad to see it amongst your recommendations
