    What a great video! Lisa made homemade biscuits years ago, but as things happened and she got out of that habit, I showed her this video, and she said she just might make me some soon. If she doesn't, I think I will try my hand at making some biscuits.

    I'm definitely going to try your recipe because I have been thinking of using butter in mine as well. I have got to where I am brushing butter on the biscuits before they come out of the oven.

    I notice you use whole milk for biscuits and gravy. Would 2% work okay? Because that’s what we keep on hand.

    • @ASimpleLifewithChrisTara
      @ASimpleLifewithChrisTara  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have never tried with 2% but I say it would probably be okay. Let us know when you try it and how it worked out. Thanks for watching.

    Wonder if you can put them over the fire to cook or would they burn. Like campfire I mean

    • @ASimpleLifewithChrisTara
      @ASimpleLifewithChrisTara  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes! Dutch ovens are more like using a conventional oven than any other campfire cooking method. To start, grease the oven and place your biscuit discs inside. Latch the lid onto the oven and place it over hot coals.
      Remember to sprinkle some coals on top of the oven for an evenly cooked biscuit. Also, check on the biscuits periodically so that they do not overcook.
