I'm 68 years old. I've raised my now 18 year old granddaughter who is autistic/Asperger's. I'm so glad I found you. I encourage her to watch and listen to your videos. They give me hope and I pray they will her as well. Her father took his life when she was three. Her mother, my daughter, never could kick the drug addiction. She's still in our lives but at a distance. My granddaughter self harms and is suicidal a lot. She is under psych care and we do a lot of therapy. But as her grandmother and she has pretty much only me, I am at a loss now as how to help her as she starts the journey into adulthood. M y dear friend, I send you a virtual hug. Here is part of my 5 minutes of joy for today to share with you: I watched a downey woodpecker who frequents a black walnut tree outside my bedroom window. I stepped out onto my patio and was greeted by one of the many baby squirrels who live in the old silver maple next to my back door. I went out to enjoy the salvia I had planted in all its lavender splendor. A beautiful bumblebee was enjoying the nectar of those blossoms. Sadly, in a month or so I will have to say goodbye to all of this. The property, which I have lived at for 12 years, is being sold. Life is change, but I will always have the joyful memory of this May morning. Blessings, Melinda! ❤

The proverbial wreckage of our past. Shattering pelvis; 22 places they could see. Thought when I learned to walk and later played tennis 5 x wk I was all good. Nope. Pudendal neuralgia came to call. That nearly took my life off the desire to be here. 34 years sober. Doing small things for pain that remains. Hoping in my 71st year I see progress physically. Not the athlete any longer but maybe a fit girl that can take it another day at time. 😊

The proverbial wreckage of our past. Shattering pelvis; 22 places they could see. Thought when I learned to walk and later played tennis 5 x wk I was all good. Nope. Pudendal neuralgia came to call. That nearly took my life off the desire to be here. 34 years sober. Doing small things for pain that remains.
