I had never heard of lantern bugs until now, thanks! As far as killing the Wolf snails, if you ever find yourself in Hawaii, or another area that they have invaded, then by all means smoosh away. Just be sure not to kill any you find in their native range!
I have never seen this documented anywhere, but i have had a rosy wolfsnail for about 5 months and it has had no contact with other snails in that time, and still manages to lay fertile eggs. Now i have to freeze all the little guys.
So we adding Wolf snails to the smoosh list along with Lantern bugs?

Favourite solution of some humans (you personally approve it as silver bullet for sure) is pesticide use

I have three Rosie wolf snails and one made it and I can’t wait for the eggs and I found them in the wild
