Something for the nerds. I have a 5800h in my Lenovo Legion 7 gaming laptop. It runs at 3.55ghz at 45w standard 2.8ghz at 25w in silent mode ant 4.4ghz at 85w when in gaming mode. It is paired with a 3060 and it is great. Can play most games at 1440p on medium settings.

Obs is a free, open source tool. If he's not satisfied with it, he's welcome to write his own flavor, but that would require him to learn something and do actual work

Look into Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC (2019). It will be supported till 2029. Also, windows has stated that after jan 2025 it will still push though security updates until 2029. Seems that you will still be able to use windows 10. Naturally, you need to be careful and not a numbnuts like DSP.

MS stopped that a couple weeks ago. His would have to buy a new license.
He could install Linux and OBS is available for it.
I doube he uses anything else exotic that he can't use or find linux equivalents for.
