I really like your honest and consistent take on OLED. People are generally stupid and big TH-camrs often lie - OLED will eventually burn in. Doesn't matter if it is 3rd gen, the basic technology is still the same. The question is how much do you really care about it and what is your budget and willingness to buy a new one in like 3 years. IMHO mini-led and micro-led is currently the way to go, like you said, but it seems that the focus is now currently more on OLEDs.
There are 2 versions. Rev. 1 and Rev. 2 , the latter one was released in October 2023. I saw the m27q x rev 1 had 98% adobe rgb. Does the rev. 2 covers the adobe rgb that well? Do you have any idea if you have the rev.1 or 2? Best regards from Portugal!
I dedited to give it back to shop. Overshooting playing 60hz is terrible when using OD. You have to turn it off. I had rev.2 with BOE panel not Sharp like in Rev 1
How does this compare to the LG ultra gear qhd 1440p 240hz? Keep seeing the two compared but I purchased the lg, got it and it didn’t work. Just a dead screen. Thinking this may be a better new purchase since the lg went up in price again (I got it on sale)
Really nice review. What do you think on an i9 (2023); rtx 4060 laptop if i extend it to this monitor? Will it perform nicely? Or will this monitor break my GPU down. Thankyou🙏🏻
I’m in the same boat but replace the aw2723df with the 180hz aw2724dm. The best one, without question is the AQMR Asus but I’m afraid that stupid stand is just way too big.
I bought this to use with my ps5 and when I try to play fortnite with 120fps the monitor changes the quality to 1080p, is this because I am usig it with hdmi?
I’m between this, the 240hz LG (gr83 something? Forget the model) the Asus AQMR (it’s the best one but the stand is ridiculously large) and, although only 180hz, the Alienware AW2724dm. I’m so lost at which one I want.
Have you tried the m27q rev 1 and the m27q x? I am thinking of changing from the m27q to the m27q x, I have tried many OLEDs like the pg27aqdm and I did not like them, there is a big difference between m27q and m27q x?
Nice review. I got one, but the first unit I got had a red stuck pixel I could not get away. The second unit I got still have a minor stuck green pixel (or half) which is not as bad as the first stuck pixel but still a little annoying. Does anyone else who bought this monitor have the same issues with stuck/dead pixels on this model?
Someone claims to be selling one secondhand for 40usd in my area. I don't have space but I just wanna see it in action lmao. I already have a 32" 1440p Dell 😂
I've owned many Gigabyte products over the years and they've never let me down. Asus has not been as reliable sadly so personally I'm choosing Gigabyte again
Man I’m torn between the 2 here in the U.S prices are the same rn. I know 20hz isn’t a big difference, but when I overclocked from 240 to 280 on my current asus I could see a difference.
@@skythundersky1544 we don't know yet, but maybe the asus has a better motion blur reduction feature. anyways i went for the dell alienware AW2723DF, cause it was on a sale in germany (499€). it has 10 bit 280hz at the same time which isn't possible on the asus or gigabyte monitors. also 3 years warranty and only 50€ more expensive than the gigabyte
Hi Please tell me which monitor is better Dell aw2723df or Gigabyte M27Q X for the same price? Some say that Dell is better, some say Gigabyte, I am currently looking for the best option for games and watching series/movies. Help please!
Most of the monitor buyers are looking for OLED with glossy panels. If they’re interested in IPS I’d look at ASUS with that 1440p 360hz ULMB2 or TN Zowie’s 2566K 360hz or the upcoming Zowie 540hz TN with DYAC2.
Not true. I will never go with OLED as I use the monitor for work (spreadsheets, email, word docs) and oled is a no-go. The text fringing and VERY dim aspects are something I couldn’t live with.
never buying Gigabyte product again. my 5 months old M27QX broke already, when i go to the RMA center they said Gigabyte have the highest return rate and they still have 35 more units of Gigabyte G24F waiting for RMA. when i have my new M27QX back, i will sell it immediately and will bought myself Samsung G6.
Good question. I think better than both is the AQMR Asus that is 300hz. It was on sale for $499 a month ago and I missed it. My only issue is not knowing whether the giant stand would fit well on my desk.
Got this monitor a week ago. Just noticed that my wallpaper "burned" into the screen and when displaying grayscales when playing video games etc i am seeing the wallpaper as well as icons. Is this normal? Monitor hasn't been used for almost 12 hours and still seeing the "image retention / burn-in". What can I do? Should I send it back? It's a pity since I really liked it on first impressions
ordered this yesterday, the good old ritual of watching reviews to validate my purchase lol
Is it good ? In fps games?
How is it? Good
Just ordered it as well

Really informative video, truly appreciate this and now I know i should get this monitor, thanks and keep up the amazing content
I wonder why Type-Cs monitors never have backlight bleed
Could you do a review on the Gigabyte GS32Q. Was released back in September and theres no coverage on it

Thats what I did back when I had a laptop settup, my laptop was worse but it worked fine.
Which would be your choice price being equal across? Lg27gr83q, AW2723 or the asus x27aqmr? Specifically for display clarity and color
I’m in the same boat but replace the aw2723df with the 180hz aw2724dm. The best one, without question is the AQMR Asus but I’m afraid that stupid stand is just way too big.
Could you make a video about the lg 27gr83q or the msi g274qpx?
There are definitely good oled options for 240hz. Alienware now has a 4k qdoled 240hz thats 32 inch and a 27 inch version thats 1440p at 360hz.
Don't forget people also work on their PCs and OLED simply sucks if it's your main monitor that'used for text based activities.
GIGABYTE M27Q X or LG UltraGear Gaming Monitor 27GP850-B.AED?
Could you rate this monitor.

I got the Aw2724dm and it's an amazing monitor, HDR is spectacular on it, I highly recommend it.
What about the response time and ghosting in the lower Hz, e.g. when gaming in 60fps on PS5?

70hz diff is probably the big thing
What you guys think about
Gigabyte M27QX vs MSI MAG G274QPX ?

"Really good ghosting" :))) haahhahahhaah.
We all love a little ghosting on our display. ;D IPS is notoriously higher in ghosting than TN and VA.
Is there ghosting or not plz tell😢
The only problem with the monitor is that doesn't have g-sync
None of them do. There are only 2-3 that have a native GSync hardware inside. They are all gsync “compatible.”
