My brain cannot understand how in the earth, rally drivers are able to ride so fast and so on edge, so many times without crash. They have really inhuman skills, that shock me every single time I watch motorsports.

And this is just the prologue track. The rest of the track to Finke is much more fun to watch.
Having raced that in a production class 4wd, its crazy to think how much faster and smoother the trucks are!

Watch how the shocks and sway bars deal with the turns and the amount of traction he is still getting while banking when turning

The is prologue. Its a timed loop to establish the starting grid order. I reckon it was to shave a few 10th's of a sec of his time.

No gear shifting?
We can hear him shifting gears
They either run 3 speed boxes that have such long gears that the shifts are rare or 6 speed boxes that have gears so close together that the revs hardly change between shifts.
Either way, you'll likely barely notice shifts.
