  • Is your hair dry, frizzy, brittle, or damaged?
There could be lots of reasons for dry hair, and in this video I list the 5 most common. It doesn't mean you have to do everything in this video. You might only have to do ONE thing. It depends on YOUR unique situation. I'm just a nerd and like to talk about all the potential things it could be.
amzn.to/2ZLNZD9 - Maybe you just need a nourishing hair oil, like argan oil.
amzn.to/3iI3IMb - Maybe you need a more pH balanced shampoo & conditioner (like this Shea Moisture with Shea Butter and Apple Cider Vinegar).
Or maybe you just need to wash with cooler water and use lower the heat on your blow dryer.
No matter your situation, I hope I have provided a solution for you to heal your dry & damaged hair.

    LCO & LOC Method:
High porosity - LOC method with HEAVIER creams and oils
Low porosity - LCO method with LIGHTER creams and oils
    Creams:
    amzn.to/2Z6uaHv - Moroccan Oil (heavier)
    amzn.to/2BMEGuS - Avocado + coconut oil (heavier)
    amzn.to/2ZEWoYY - Keratin + Argan Oil (lighter)
    Oils
    amzn.to/2ZLNZD9 - Argan Oil (lighter)
    amzn.to/2BG4LvI - Grapeseed Oil (lighter)
    amzn.to/3iydNeC - Castor + Coconut Oil (Heavier)

I have never in my life thought I would learn more chemistry from a hair knowledge youtuber than my 4 years in highschool lol... I actually learned a few things I've been wondering for months! Thank you so much! There is however a conflict on the curly hair bit, brushing everyday doesn't seem ideal because we generally want to keep the curls structure and brushing kind of does the opposite. Perhaps you could make a video for us curly haired fellas? I'd really appreciate it.

Awesome content, I'm glad PH is being discussed I feel like it's so important and mentioned nowhere!
I have low porosity hair as I do literally nothing to it and can confirm it is an absolute nightmare to keep hydrated. I've had uncontrollable frizz for a while now and I finally got some ACV to give that a go.
The thing is, I have used sulphate and silicone free products for about 7 years now and it doesn't cleanse well enough :( I have to double cleanse which still dries out the hair (I seem to get a lot of scalp build up quickly). I started pre-pooing (using a conditioner or oil before shampooing to protect the ends) hoping it all works out :)

Also by the way, you can test your hair's porosity by filling up a cup of water and placing a recently shampooed strand of hair into the cup. If it floats, it's low porosity, if it sinks quickly, it's high porosity, if it sinks slowly, it's medium porosity.

Is the use of a brush still advised if I have wavy to curly hair? I'm in the habit of keeping my those in place and developing them as my hair grows and brushing, especially when dry just seems to disrupt the curl pattern and make everything seem like an awkward mash of straight/ridgy hair.

A soapless soap called soapnut (all natural from the soapnut berry) can be bought to wash with and also wash hair with- which would be great for keeping the hair free of chemicals and sulphates...and not disturb its natural PH. It does not have the lather that we all look for- because the lather is ADDED and unnecessary and is just for the look and feel of being clean but it washes perfectly but you won't see the 'expected' lather. I'm buying that now.

I need help with something, So basically I have curly/frizzy hair and I would like to grow it long. The top of my head is already about 6 inches. I would like to know if I should cut all my hair off or just grow the sides and trim the top till around the same length, thanks

As a kid, a lot of people had complimented my hair back then but because I've been in a lot of competition wherein I had to use heat tools, a lot; Make sense why my hair's dry/frizzy af now.

I used to wash as well as rinse my hair with warm water. I had medium thick hair back them. Now, I switched to washing hair with warm water and rinsing hair with cold water. My hair has started thinning. Also, before I used to use only warm water for scalp and now I use cold water
