When u gonna do it with hall effect sticks ?
We can now, I have to add a page to the website in the next day or so. In the mean time. Contact us here: enquiries@ubermicro.co.uk
@UberMicroRepairs I was meaning the edge with hall effect sticks! But thanks btw I'm not from UK
What are you doing to the potentiometers when you calibrate it at 10:15? Are you bending the potentiometers? Or just rotating in the direction and closing it again?
I would like to know if these controllers would take those Hall Effect Sensor analog modules. The nice thing about them being that you get to easily adjust the center point after install. AND even down the line should there be any need to do so for whatever reason. Also, bonus that you don't need to open up the whole controller to swap one analog module. Adjusting the magnets though to get the nice center point calibration will ironically be harder to do so, as there's no way to do it live with the controller opened up now with the modules stuck inside their own little enclosure... Oh well, I guess we can only have our cake OR eat it after all.. :|
I’m waiting for Gulikit to release their Hall effect module for it, if they ever manage it, until then I’ll just buy a new module when it starts drifting.
They'll make the life easier 🔝.
I've heard from suppliers and Chinese repair shop that the Gulikit Hall sensors have a terrible centre dead zone. I'll confirm it soon as they are out.
@@UberMicroRepairs Any idea to what degree? I set my sniper profile up with a 5% dead zone as I don’t want it to be too sensitive but for SMG’s and AR’s I want it as snappy as possible.
I remember these being $20 when the edge launched. It already felt a bit steep then. But today? Bruh.
Now that it’s a shortage of them. it’s double to triple the price no thanks to the third party sellers.😟🤔🤦🏻♂️
We do offer a repair service. We can also put Hall Effect stick in them. ubermicro.co.uk/product/dualsense-edge-analog-stick-drift-repair/
If you have those modules with hall effect would love to buy a pair from you! Really! I already replaced 2 pairs of them already not even 1 year of usage!!
Help ?! I bought a new module and still dealing with stick drift now i have to use old.ps5 controller 😢
could you solve it?
Can you please do a video and explain how to celebrate this analog? Please 🙏
Stick drift ain’t cheap but when not if you get would you rather pay 20$ for the price of one ps edge module or would you rather pay the price of a brand new controller? And let’s be honest what would you rather pay?
I have been watching all your videos for 2 years now and i just gotta say that i wish you would take orders from Denmark because i have 3 elite 2 and 1 elite 1 that really need to have stick drift fix, and there are noone doing this in my country. Also i have a Dualsense edge that i would like to have 2 more buttons added to. You do a good job teaching us how to do the job ourself but im just always too busy working or gaming to do it and tbh i doubt i would be able to it right.
what iron and sucker would ya'll recommend for a diy'er?
i'd like to add hall effects on both my DS controllers
ur video worth much views , thanks
what cameras/displays are you using? the 4k images are outstanding!
Thank you, That means a lot. I've worked hard and invested lots of money in the camera stuff (check out my earlier vids to see the quality difference). I have a Lumix G7 main camera for the over head. The Microscope is an Eakins and the camera is a Runcam 4k 60 fps (Aliexpress thing). Head cam is a DJI Action 3. The capture card is a Blackmagic 4k (4 HDMI inputs PCI-E card), Mic is a cheaper Rode shotgun mic. All running through OBS.
Do you guys sell ps5 controllers with hall effect thumbsticks?
I broke my side function micro switch while taking hours to desolder the stick. Maybe I touched it with the iron without noticing it, or perhaps the whole board got too hot. The click is mushy and nonresponsive. I have no idea where to find a replacement switch, it seems proprietary? Any idea if that's the case?
great video
Thanks man.
Can you explain how calibrate it ? Please 🙏
I’ve tried to replace these with battle beaver high tension one twice and failed both times.
How did it fail?
@@torgnysafro idk. I thought my solder job on the second one was ok but, the stick ended up going in two directions. The first one I destroyed because I couldn’t remove the solder correctly. I’m learning still
@@TheMarinerfan05 im gonna learn aswell! Looking to be able to do the same thing as you! Had a battlebever that broke, getting the edge but I cant go back to that sloppy original tension🤣 I can only find 1 guy on this planet that sells the edge modules with the higher tension, but he’s down under and it’s expensive to ship I thought I should give it a try.
But hey Good luck man.
@@torgnysafro I’ve looked him up too. I can’t find any edge modules anymore so I’m using an older controller for now. Using the flux and copper wick helped tremendously to remove the solder. Let me know how it goes for you. Good luck!
Is it possible to change the spring without desoldering?
next time replace stick unit with a hall effect sensor and make the edge's gimick completely pointless.
On the way.. keep an eye out in the next few days!
Les boutons Lb et Rb peuvent être réparés ?
Dualsense is so tight on its tolerance you can tweak the pots soldered manipulated position 😂🤣😭.
They/them didn't see that coming did they when they reduced the resistance 🤫🫢🤭 lol, but when they go they throw a wobbly more so than the old DS4 don't they 🤦🏼♂️.
Noice
Replacing stick module doesn’t even fix the drift it’s trash
What's the tool called where you removed that screw
the hard part is to get these expensive and rare soldering tools, I have never ever seen that pump with rubber seal. What brand is it?
We have a basic soldeing kit here: ubermicro.co.uk/product/soldering-starter-kit/ or just the solder sucker here: amzn.to/4bnuBQS
Wish the module replacement was as easy as the Astro c40. If the module + stick were oos, I could easily replace the module.
I wish I could but a module
