Dust is the main cause of console overheating. If there is too much dust or debris blocking the vents, the hot air isn't able to leave the console. When that happens, the console essentially becomes a box full of swirling hot air, and it will definitely overheat
If the motherboard is getting too hot, the fans will rev up to keep the XBOX ONE S cool. Sometimes a build up of dust can contribute to higher temperatures in the XBOX ONE S. This repair option includes us opening the console and fully servicing it. Removing all dust and This can help the system to run cool.

This video will show you how to make your yellowed Xbox look almost new again.
Coat the plastic in hydrogen peroxide to fix discoloration. Hydrogen peroxide works well on plastics that have turned entirely yellow instead of in just one spot. Fill a plastic bag with enough hydrogen peroxide to cover the plastic. Stick the plastic in the bag of hydrogen peroxide and lay it out in direct sunlight. Wait 3-4 hours before rinsing it off with clean water.
You can purchase hydrogen peroxide at a drugstore or big box store.
If you’re treating some sort of plastic mechanism, make sure you remove all the parts that aren’t plastic before putting them into the hydrogen peroxide.
You can also use an old toothbrush to scrub the hydrogen peroxide onto the plastic if desired

Hello, my xbox one 1tb stopped working in the beginning of 2022. I haven't touched it since but I have a spare xbox one (512gb). Can I take the 1tb hard drive and put it in the working xbox? The working xbox has a newer update.
The faulty xbox first started turning off right after bootup and then during bootup. Later it didn't turn on at all. (even with new power supply)

To be fair, all he did was clean the console. Cleaning the console probably wouldn't fix the issue of shutting off unexpectedly. IDK, maybe im wrong...but it is a little suspicious

I have two Xbox one s like brand new my favorite console of all time. Never give them up.
Should of done like I did with my PS3 and PS4. I upgraded them to 1 and 2TB SSDs. They run amazing with them. Also, if you are going to Retro bright, do it with 10% Peroxide. It's comes out much brighter, and even. Looks amazing tho, great job. Also... what is the spray you are using?

I recently bought an one x for cheap, faulty hdd and needed a serious clean. I fixed that, but they left hair straighteners on it, and the black plastic casing is bent out of shape at the back. Any ideas on how to straighten it again?

I still own and use a Xbox one S and I have never opened it up or cleaned it yet it's still very clean and still has the white color of the Xbox one S
I still have one of these, and it’s actually still my main console. I’ve tried to keep it in the best possible condition, seeing one this dirty just looks wrong 😅
the 1S is surprisingly easy to take apart on your own at home tbh. It's always better to send it in if you don't know what you're doing though.
Not entirely convinced that was the perfect amount of thermal paste but it came out nice

I have one for 4 years and its a great Xbox my father also loves Xbox he had the original Xbox even the 360
Had an Xbox One S for 4 years, and even though i’m not using it now, the only issue that has developed is if there’s no disc inside, the drive tries to take in a disc that’s not there, but it it’s not a big issue, if I want to insert a disc, I just press the eject button so it’ll start pulling in the disc and guide it with my finger. But how do you let an Xbox One S get like this?

Would you fix an xbox series x disc drive pin connector on a motherboard? Thats the only downside on my xbox series x, everything works perfectly good and fine, problem is my disc drive won’t work it’ll accept discs but not read them anymore

I have the same model and I'm been on GTA online with it just like PS4 can't wait to get call of duty mw2 with headset and a external hard drive with 5 TB with a bunch of controllers I only have is the carbon black controller and gears 5 controller

Remember to swap in a 2TB solid state drive for that Xbox One S so it must run its fastest of them all.

No ESD protection.... :) BTW was jus dirt or the console was in a smoker room ? In my experience nicotine/tar are very diffcult to remove form PCBs becasue isopropile o pure alccol melt tar/nicotine but once melted you have to remove them and unless you can submerge your PCB in a alcool you alaways have some sticky residue...

How can I clean the fan to prevent dust?
I dont know why but I always fail with the thermal paste, in all consoles, I don't know if im just bad applying on chiplets but on IHS I do fine.
