    Agata Serge started with that setup a bunch of years ago doing commercial editorial photography, it's an amazing piece of kit! I'd save so much money if I were starting my photography journey nowadays :D

    Great video! Love the shot of the Koi. I actually just picked this lens up and a back up 5D.

    Everybody seems to love this lens. I think i am just not a 40mm kind of person. It is not close not wide. And it does not give me the feel of an nice fast 35mm. Love your video's btw.

    You made some very nice images - good work! Those colors and that B&W worked very well excellent all around. That 40mm is making you get closer, and closer can be good. It's a sweet little lens. With the 5D you can't appreciate the images until you get them off the card, the screen is the only weakness really on that camera, well the focus tracking too, but compared to what was out there back then, and even today, it does awesome work in the right hands, it's the photographer that makes the images, your work is getting even better. The camera is only a tool, but the sensors and specific cameras offer flavors that, let's face it, will never be made again. Kind of like how I wish Kodachrome was still around. Like the movies used to have "Technicolor" and 70mm wide screen. Image quality was amazing. I have an old Canon G10 and it is kind of an amazing thing for carrying around.
    Best wishes, God bless, stay safe!

      Hi John, I hope your weekend is a good one 👍 I agree with you about the 5D’s back LCD, but this is another reason why I gravitate to this camera so much, it forces me to only view the images when I get home 😊 Camera technology has come a long way in such a short space in time. It’s amazing how much a camera can do, there’s even Artificial Intelligence magic in some of the modern cameras now 😱 How did photographers ‘back in the day’ take pictures of anything moving without even having the luxury of autofocus? mind-boggling 😀 I agree with you about colour. The Wizard of OZ scene ‘Sepia’ to technicolour, still to this day startles me at how amazing the colour science was back in 1939, but imagine seeing it for the first time in the cinemas back then 🙀 I will look into the Canon G10. All the best, take care!

    Is that 40 mm lens compatible with a fullframe camera like the 5D?
    The 5D takes EF lenses, not efs.
    This is a mysterium to me...

      Hi there, all the pictures captured within this video were taken with the full-frame EF40mm F2.8 STM lens paired with the iconic Original full-frame Canon 5D, affectionately known as the Classic.
      As for understanding the Canon EF and EF-S mounts;
      * EF Lenses: Universally adaptable! EF lenses can be mounted on both full-frame and APS-C Canon DSLRs without a hitch.
      * EF-S Lenses: More selective, these lenses are tailored for APS-C cameras. While they physically can fit some full-frame bodies, they’re not recommended for them due to the image circle limitation.
      Hope this information helps, thanks 👍

      I have this camera and lens I love it except when I’m down low to the ground to get ground shots it’s difficult to see through the viewfinder and with no LCD live view what can I do as a workaround to get the shot? Thanks lovely shots
