Man I'd love to see a Sheldon and Mason tour of Hawaii series. Different breaks and towns each episode. Hanging with locals. Hearing their stories.

Makaha is is one of my favorite surf spots on Oahu! I Haven’t surfed there since the 90s and must return soon!

I love that Mason is not happy unless he falls trying something new at the end of a wave...his definition of a sucessful ride is clearly different than the fictional norm created by professional surfing.

What fin setup is on Sheldon's rnf 96? looks like the fanning thruster set. First time I've seen someone surfing a thruster set up on that board. Is it too stiff?

I surfed Makaha a few weeks ago a little bigger, a little more crowded. Got seven waves in two hours and got dropped in on on four of those waves. I'm a haole from the Big Island, it is what it is 😆

@@curtismann6851 Actually two great waves. One was crossed up with the backwash the whole way down the reef and never really stood up. But yeah, no complaints. I knew that's what it would be and I'm stoked I got a couple good ones at such an iconic spot.
