When I first went up against this thing, I was wondering why I was being slowed down so much, then I realized that this monster’s grimoire slows you down perpetually until you’re out of its range. It sounds like a recipe for an absolutely overpowered unit
@@Mod_121 worth noting that the raw damage output against other generals seems like it struggles a bit compared to Atlas or MPZZ, so it probably isn't totally cost-breaking... but obviously, that's only true because 600 already broke. *Glares at now-useless Jesta.* Anyone who doesn't think that 600 is a broken cost only needs to look at Hazenthley, which was powercreep central on release, but which has since needed *buffs* in order to stay relevant.
As the gbo2 player was gonna pick a suit for his 600 cost qm/cm, he asked the pgtb "would would win? over-on or you?" pgtb then said "well with that insta down melee it might cause me a little trouble" "but would you lose?" "Nah, id win" then a match started the over-on asked "are you the strongest because you're pgtb, or are you pgtb because you're the strongest" pgtb simply responded "stand proud you are strong, but nah id walk" over-on then activate it's cursed technique "Grimoire (white)" but it simply forgot two key things. First, the pgtb has god walkmod and second, after 5 seconds pgtb regains full potential to DOMAIN EXPANSION: DEFENSIVE SHOT for throughout the heavens and earth. I alone am the walking one
Totally makes sense as a 4*, in that it's strong in one very particular area and gimmick, but isn't broken. Even the Grimoire activation debuff is relatively short but definitely powerful in those few seconds where melee and outrunning you become mostly useless, and it's nice that it gives you a decent chance to counter something, but it can still be mostly played around with just a good tackle. The only thing i dislike is that The O Ver ON doesn't get to use the four beam sabers it's known for (i get why when it comes to balancing), I wanted it to ne a bit more all-rounded, and I wanted it to drop in a way that i could get it, lol. Also, I really hope this doesn't mean that the CA version and its bad guy (the Quebely series thingy with the three bug skirts) could all end up at 4*, if not a few more. Though I guess Raid O at 600 would fit the criteria for that, as would a 600 funnel-based suit (maybe a fast-ish support) could both easily fit my own criteria for a balaned 4*, I'd prefer this series not have every big unit locked behind that kind of drop, nor do think we really need any more units that can accidentally push power creep at this cost. Im looking forward to some of your likely videos on the recent buffs, like Zaku IV IP, Bolinoak Saman and maybe some of those tanks.
@@fenrir_Lokison9 What I meant was that non-700 4* suits originally were supposed to focus one one very different way of playing. They'd be strong like this new unit, mostly from being good at whatever it is they specifically do (high melee damage and the ability to catch people off guard if they try to use melee when it hits 50% HP, likely giving it an opening to get Counterboost up and running, though it's quite balanced outside that one skill and the usual Counter Program). At 700 where all the 4* supports are at, they're all doing quite well. Sazabi FF might be the worst of them, but that's still pretty good if you can manage the funnels well to get the extra mobility and damage while hopefully landing the gerobi a decent amount. Though I think it probably should have had the shield, even if technically as a buffer, just so it could have used the Beam Tomahawk as the melee weapon and have the missiles for build stun. But I don't see a problem with any of the 700 support units. They're all doing really good right now because the raids have mostly been hurting with how good the generals are at stopping them, meaning most melee raids were just struggling to get close enough to deal with supports since they couldn't fight from a distance well or get around most generals easily. Though the buffs to Zaku IV IP look like they might be quite a big help in surviving, using the funnels for attacks and defense since they can fire and lock on while boosting, and dealing more melee damage. Banshee I'm less sure of just from reading the changes. Though it got a decent amount of damage reduction to its claw, some HP, better heat on the main gun, and heavy stagger from claw attacks that will probably be the most important thing when it comes to letting you get off a big combo or just leave an enemy stuck pretty bad while you get to the support.
I've been running Jesta and doing just fine against it. It's the bad teams that kill me. 8/2, 1st place points and damage, and still losing rating points sucks.
I think Jesta's still pretty good but the power creep with just the new abilities newer MS are getting alone is so real now. Look at what having an aggressive use of a shield did just for the Perfect Gundam. 😰
Jegan is actually somewhat a counter-pick. You can do great damage to it cause it has low ballistic resist, and you don't need to worry much about melee anyway.
Arctic base is played a lot so when I queue up it is just the most likely thing to show up lol. I wouldn't mind playing on a map like military base more often.
I'm wondering if they'll add the Chobham Armor variant later on. For those who don't know/unfamiliar, this MS has armor making it look like "The-O." It's pretty sick for somewhat being a "2-in-1" MS
Do you think this is something you can use in space?🤔 The Grimorie seems useful to counter S Gundam, Modified Rick Dijeh and Haze'n-thley in space, but that 5 seconds nerf and beam shield really didn't do that much in my calculation🤔
At around 4:15, why didn't you retreat all the way to your base to make use of the greater healing there? You ended up going left after getting back in your suit anyway.
Honestly I was kinda sleepy when I was recording these matches, so I wasn't paying full attention to the game. I probably should have went back to the base there.
If an enemy is nearby when your Grimoire skill activates, their melee animations are slowed down and they also boost much slower. It is basically a free kill under the right conditions lol.
Man I would love this thing but I'm just getting to an amount of tokens that's comfortable, and going in on this thing (other than the 15 roll, which didn't get me it.) would pretty much drain me of all tokens and I'm so paranoid about sudden FA Unicorn or something showing up.
Full Armor Unicorn is leaked, so it might be a good idea to save for it. Not sure if it would be the anniversary suit, so it might end up being released right before anniversary or maybe held back until new years.
There are a lot of different aspects you need to at least kinda know to get good at this game, like suit match-ups, map knowledge, combos, aiming, positioning, timing among many more. I would recommend playing a good all rounder general that has tools for most situations, maybe something like Mass Production Nu Gundam, Mass Production ZZ Gundam or Jeda, if not those then something similar. Learn how their combos work, get comfortable with the R1+button swaps for their weapons and then just keep playing them. Over time you will get better at playing them and you can now apply that knowledge to various different suits in the game. If you are having trouble with a specific aspect then maybe consider playing a lower cost suit that specializes in that aspect. Struggling with aiming precise weapons? Play Zaku F2 or Zaku Flipper with the AA gun and get to work. Struggling with frontlining and doing stun melee without getting blown up for it? Hop on something like Efreet or GM Command and keep trying. I think you can improve on specific aspects with suits like this since you have no other options with them, even if it might take a while you can improve.
I won't lie, this thing is actually quite weak now that people are used to it. It is so vulnerable once Grimoire activates it is unreal. It gets much better damage and is immune to melee stuns, but it loses Maneuver Armor entirely, so people just shoot it to death easily. It is fun though if you can get close and just use your melee a lot.
Just wait till this suit gets to lvl 2 at 650 cost and rolls with a B-Pack. You thought they were slow before? Add the INCOMS to your Grimoire system lol.
yes, u can if u use a gun to kill it, but u cannot use high speed to close in on it or have a sword in hand, that will trigger the grimore effect and slow u down if he is below half hp. So good luck...

It is kinda like Unicorn psychojack, it only takes effect when it initially activates the Grimoire skill. It is a temporary debuff I think.
@@avenger1_gbo260ah, that’s good to know, still pretty terrifying tbh. It kinda reminds me of the B-Packs Funnels

The technical play to roll instead of boosting to not overload your legs at 1:13 was great.
