    My older brother Rod had a V-12 street rod back in the early 1940's in Calif. It had a V-12 Lincoln in it.

    Robert Larkin....I did not run an oil cooler. I just tied the lines together so that it is a continuous loop from the filter to the pan. If you just block off the lines, you will not have any oil pressure, it needs the line coming from the filter to feed the oil pump.

    Very nice. Surprised how quiet it is with that exhaust setup. Needs to finish the interior. Would like to have heard the owner or builder tell about the details of the car.

    Do you have a video of this on the open road? It sounds great! I have a 5.3 v12 I'm looking to put in a project and I like the simplicity of the dual carb setup that you've put together. Pricing it out with 6 webers is just too expensive!

    I drove an XJ12 ONCE...STOMPED ON IT...WAS DOING 115 BEFORE I KNEW IT...SMOOOOTH...AND FAST...THAT OUGHT TO BE A VERY NICE ADDITION TO CRUISE NIGHT OR WEEKEND IN RIVERSIDE...CA...EH???!!!

    You're going to need a fan. That engine will cook itself in no time.

      There is an electric fan mounted on the front of the radiator. Engine runs cool, I've had no cooling issues in 4 years of driving it.

    You need to build a collection header and side pipe for it. Would sound great. What's the top off of? I'm confusion. Looks good. Keep it up! I grew up with my dad's 32. And I have a 26 T and a 33 . Something special about a coupe. Love them!!!

    thanks for the info not had a lot to do with holleys as im in the uk and main streem cars not having them. mine are also 600cfm with 66 jet. flote are all set and the carbs were rebuilt using new power valves . but with what uve said about the power valve i think i have a masive vacum leak wich is kicking the valve in going to have a look at the weekend thanks again

      Porter Rockwell....That is a V-12 out of a 1986 Jaguar XJS. I made the exhaust and the intakes were custom units made for me by a guy in Seattle WA.

      Runs 180-190 all the time. Engine is aluminum and is out on the open also so that helps

      1986 Jaguar XJS. The intakes are custom cast so I could eliminate the factory fuel injection.

    Hello realy like ur car i have a v12 with twinn holleys that im building. Mine seams rraly rich to the piint it chockes its self badly was wiundering what setup you have for jets ext as your engine runns realy well thanks for anny help

      My carbs are 600 cfm Holleys, stock jetting is #66 jets, I actually have it jetted with #70's, and it still is on the lean side. You might have a blown power valve, that will make it rich, or your floats need adjusting.

      That is an MSD Blaster coil.

      Tim Green it's the stock junk manifolds for the US cars. They're creating back pressure which lowers performance but in this application you got plenty of torque.
