The tires have sidewalls, it's not scraping the ground, there's no aluminum tilt column, no automatic transmission, no mustang 2 front end, no pimpy gangster paint job, no tacky ugly pimp gangster crap of any kind, just a clean straight basic low tech hot rod, just like Grandpa used to make. What a breath of fresh air !!! Very nicely done. My hat is off to you, sir
You said exactly how I feel about this car..... This car is just a straight forward bare bones hot rod... It's amazing and I agree with every word you said.
@@johnpharis8498 My mom had a phrase, and it used to go in one ear and out the other when I was a kid, but now it makes sense. The phrase was "the elegance of simplicity" The one percenters used to ride such cool, stripped down basic choppers, and now they pile on everything but the kitchen sink. @@jpalberthoward9 Not only that. How about building stuff they way they used to? If I wanted easy I'd pop in a Chevy 350, auto trans, and 10 bolt rear. Everybody has been doing this forever and I hate it. I love love love the Chevy small block but I'm tired of seeing it in what is supposed to be an older traditional build. You can't build a 40s hot rod with a SBC. 50s maybe but it would have been a brand new engine and not so common. Sbc in a roadster or A would be more 60s. I like picking an era and sticking to it 100%. I'm collecting parts to run a Rocket with a manual trans and basically copy "the look" of this roadster in this video.
There is NOTHING not to like about this video. One of the cleanest versions of an early Ford A hot rod ive ever seen. I dont know who built it but give them my applause. Thanks for posting.
@@zeussx2120 dont get me wrong...i love a good ole 350...IN MY '76 SQUARE BODY!!...or any chevy. But for the love of god...give these Fords what they deserve...
@@acres90 I agree, but I hate how the 350 is the majority of hot-rodders’ go-to engine for swapping. Hell, even a Hemi in a Ford hot rod would be way cooler than a Chevy Engine in one, but of course, the Flathead is the king, because it was the first hot rod engine.
Looks like the perfect day !! Man o man if I had a hot rod that's exactly how I would build it ! Simple and clean love the flat head !! Great job my brother 👊
ford motor v8 flatty back into a 31 ford .......glad you keep it that way......sick of seeing chevy installed to old ford rods ......shes sounds the ducks guts .....ford man from austraila
This car is absolutely amazing..... I love it.... It's a bare bones hot rod just like you would see back in the day.... Seeing this car and cars like it is always amazing.... I would take this hot rod over any other modern hot rod... This is how it all started.
This is super cool 😎 . I would love to have one of these . What is not to love ? I wanna see more of this car , thank you for sharing be safe , I know your gonna have fun .
Very cool hotrod👍👍...I have a pic of my mom and dad when they dated 55-56? (I know they married in Aug. of 57) in a black 31 w/ a flathead inline 6 ...
that sound is just amazing, this is how a hot rod should be and I dont wish it to be soiled by any modern this and that that will take away from it the experience of having these period correct parts.

The perfect example of traditional.

I agree. This is hot rodding in its absolute purest form.
There is NOTHING not to like about this video.

Best sounding flattie I've heard and stuck with the 3 speed instead of a tremec, pure nostalgia. Love it.
Possibly the most beautiful Hot Rod I've ever seen.
I’ll second that.
Very nice hot rod the way they were built in the 50's outstanding 😎👍👍🇺🇸
When TH-cam says: Come back and listen to this flathead.
Neighbors: There he goes again. God love him, I love that sound.
The greatest sounding engine EVER. And, yes, I love the sounds of muscle cars.
What a master piece, never knew a flat head ford could sound that healthy
Thanks!
This is where hot rodding started, not with small block chevy or mopars either.
This thing is so alive! Like the youth in the 50s breaking free!
Absolute perfection!! Sounds amazing Thank you for taking us on a ride, just too cool.
The sounds that made A & W drive throughs famous!
By a certain standard, this is the finest hot rod I have ever seen...
A flat head in a classic Ford !!! The way God intended it to be!!!
Beautifully said!
The way the designers at ford intended it to be
Amen !
It’s not black tho
I agree in my town there’s this beautiful 32 coupe with of all things an LS2 it’s super gay
This is what a hot rod should be.
Exactly! Not a generic gm 350. Nothing pisses me off more than a Ford with a gm engine
@@acres90 Yeah. 350s are the most overrated engines in the history of motoring!

Mighty glad you put a Ford Flathead V8 in your Model A rather than a SB Chevy like most folks do!!!!
Finally. A Ford Model A with a FORD FLATHEAD ENGINE. Thank You Very Much.
Back when ford was a household word.

Thank you John! Thats how i built it, i wanted something that you could timewarp back to el mirage in 1947 and see running around out there
Cool👍 It's nice to see the old school Ford Flathead V8 still in this car instead of a Chevy LS.
What we had before muscle cars! I love it
This is super cool 😎 . I would love to have one of these . What is not to love ? I wanna see more of this car , thank you for sharing be safe , I know your gonna have fun .

Wow! That hot rod is so right. Best I ever saw.
Dave Miller thanks!
Forget all these modern cars gimmie that beauty
Love it!
Now that’s what a true traditional hot rod should look like. Nice.
beautiful
I was waiting to see both of those skinny rear tires turn into smoke....But still a like because that thing is bad ass
Look at this car. LOOK AT IT.
Oh my gosh that sounds so heavenly its just as enticing as a siren a man that doesn't appreciate that noise when they hear it is clearly not a man
Beautiful
Looks right and sounds right!
So there is true love at first sight!!
🤍☠🖤
That flathead really scoots!
Mercy! Great sounding rod! Guaranteed to piss off Karens everywhere!!! 😄😄😄👍👍👍
Sounds real nice and mean.
How did you get the 276 are you running a 4 inch crank? Also which isky cam are you running exactly? I love the sound
Wired Customs LLC yes, 4” mer crank, 3 5/16” bore. Isky 400jr. Ported and polished block. Thanks
that sound is just amazing, this is how a hot rod should be and I dont wish it to be soiled by any modern this and that that will take away from it the experience of having these period correct parts.
Perfect.
Sweet.
I wish mine sounded like that
Damn perfect!
Beautiful car. Great proportions and sounds meaner than hell. Looks like it scoots, too!
